Good test. The problem is 8k is the bitrate vs pixel ratio is too low. That's the issue with many smartphones. If it's under 100 mbps, but has a super high resolution and high frame rate, then the information per unit will be abnormally low. It's better to have high quality pixels rather than cramming too many with low info or low light.

You are absolutely correct. I don't think the s21 is not capable to do more than 100 mbps with stability.
The max I ever did was 119 mbps on 4k but has around 50% crash rate.
So in 8K @ 24fps by default is about 70-80 mbps. That is probably as high and as stable it can go without crashing.
Thanks so much for sharing such important aspect of the problem with smart phone 8k, you are awesome and thanks for tuning in ✌️

That's not really what she was saying. She was simply saying that the 8k video can take better still images from the video. Optical zoom of course is going to be better than digital zoom at further distances. The test would have been better if you would have done something much closer say within 10 feet or 5 feet. basically a point where the background is full focus. Not focal distance affected.

For sure head to head same lens same crop factor 8K will win if you zoom in for details, really depends what are your shots for. ✌️

Great !! Thank you !! so the 8k has no value just stick with 4 and zoom

8k vs 4k with the same lens for sure 8k will win in terms of details, but unfortunately when you on 8k, it doesn't give you the zoom lens.
So in that case 4k with zoom lens wins in terms of optical focus detail.
      Thanks for watching ✌️
