Honestly Hungarian Mercutio is something else, as a Hungarian I'm so happy that we have that musical.

These are the times I'm proud to say I'm hungarian cause the ammount of effort they put into that musical. Also Mercutio is something else with that act and Tybalt is as dramatic as anyone can get.
They say to this day Revival Mercutio is still flying and Italian Benvolio is still fainting

Also, pretty sure seeing a screenshot of Takarazuka's Tybalt many years ago triggered my bisexual awakening
I adore french version, french Mercutio and Romeo are the best for me. Besides i'm surprised that i met a person who have made this video which including lots of moments of different versions of musical R&J. I think that in the Z generation there are very limited number of people who interested in different musicals and i respect this people. All the people who enjoys of listening that music, i respect you😉
John Eyzen's dramatic ass really put everything he has into Mercutio, every single dance lesson he ever got in his life lol
(I think he's a trained dancer or smth btw, that's why his Mercucio got plenty more of choreography than Mercutio had in the original version)

I personally watched the hungarian version live inSIDE the budapest sportsarena twice in 2022 and in june of this year and they STILL WENT ALL IN WITH THE FIRE I'M NOT EXAGGERATING especially during Paris' version of "la folie" the arena was about to explode

I really love that musical as well! BUT the fact is really strong that my country have the BEST Mercutio ever! There are few things we can be proud of in Hungary and one of them is him.

Fun fact, during the hungarian one the actors of Mercutio (Zoltan Bereczki) and Juliet (Dora Szinetar) were actually married at the time this particular play was recorded :)
The actor plays Romeo is Dora’s 2nd boyfriend because of their characters

I'm a Hungarian girl. And I love this musical.❤I love in particular Mercutio. The Hungarian Mercutio= Bereczki Zoltán.❤❤❤❤He is the best!!! I love him!!!!! Nem is in English no. He says "nem" because Romeo broke the "law" and he angry. I'm happy, because I'm Hungarian girl.
please guys the original version is the best and without it every other wouldn’t exist. cécilia cara is the best juliet ever her voice is better than any other and her beauty is beyond compare. (and the songs in french slap way more). only my opinion but i grew up with the original cast and the songs are giving me goosebumps every time.
one think i’ve always noticed about the official hungarian proshot is that it almost looks like two performances stitched together in some parts. but i know that’s literally impossible so
I'm actually pretty sure it is two performances stitched together! It's pretty evident for example in the duel scene where Mercutio has his sleeve rolled all the way up one moment and then it all the way down the second after. That's actually pretty common for dvd proshots that were supposed not to be streamed on live tv. It's common also in kpop stages, even though they are pretty short It's not uncommon to record two performances to get the best visual effect possible! Of course when it comes to audio only one performance is used through since the audio recording is separate from the video recording to avoid dissonance between one clip to the other, and this happens during live performances too🥺

@@thesadoreo for official releases (on DVD or smth) it's not uncommon to stitch together parts of a few performances to pick the best moments (visual-wise or vocal-wise or dance-wise or any mixture of those). It's done with concerts too

The 2002 London production, but it is long lost. It was pretty unsuccessful, you can find the audio of some of the songs online but the quality is pretty low
