The model Y juniper is only a refresh. It’s gonna have different headlights and just a little bit better tech it’s gonna basically be the same vehicle

Between Onvo or Nio, I would still go with Nio..
Testla EV has 8 year batte ry warranty and over 100,000 of these EV will have expired warranty this year. To replace a Testla battery will cost US$16.000 not counting labor and time costs. Soon there will be lots of complains from Testla owners in social media about the cost of replacing Testla batteries. The cost of replacing Nio batteries is zero. Most EV owners will start regreting their purchase of a non battery swappable EV. Additionally such cars have very little resale value. Testla cannot compete with Nio or Onvo in the future.
Go ahead and buy a non swapping EV. 7 years from now when they try and sell their car they will get 10% the value.
Nonsense the average EV is still holding over 85% charge and at that point is losing 1% per year. You think the two global giants Tesla and BYD are both wrong?

@@jameskahl1598 nonsense looking at resale values is just stupid because cost of EVs dropped the way they where supposed to as they scaled so only an idiot is going to look at resale values it doesn’t make sense at this point in the adoption curve. Of course earlier adopters of a new technology are going to lose a lot of money people used to speed $20,000 on new flat screen tvs they didn’t do very well on the resale market either. Until new EV prices settle no one should bother looking at resale it’s completely distorted.

@@lostinbkk555 just reporting on recent developments, there’s good and there’s bad, unlike all the hopium videos that other creators make, I make videos grounded in reality with doses of the truth. I take pride in the fact that many nio investors have thanked me for keeping them aware of both sides of the coin, some of them thanked me for saving them 50k usd and more. No hard feelings, the truth is sometimes hard to accept, but I will continue staying true to honest reporting.

One of the most important factors is vehicle price. ONVO L60 has an amizing techical spec. Other vendors have to work hard to present a similar spec in their vehicles. However, they won't be in position to sell their vehicles cheaper. NIO (ONVO) still can sell their vehicles on 20% cheaper via BaaS. It will open a gate to so many other buyers who can not afford to pay a full price for the vehicle with battery. So, no rush here with production of ONVO L60. September is a perfect time for it when people are back from holidays.

model y refresh not coming out this year and probably not until q2 next year. Onvo has 6 months and by then, they should be working on the release of their bigger SUV
Sometimes I think Mr P is a Trojan house. Everyone knows onvo will be available on September 2024, creating this video isn't going to change anything other than fud. Here is my two cents:
1) nio created onvo specifically to compete on price which it's a fantastic move.
2) onvo do not need to worry about competition simply because the product is just better
3)onvo is a lower version of nio, it uses its tech, has battery swapping options, has great specs and price, and everyone knows it, so no worries about brand recognition, they won't be buying a unknown brand, people know they are buying a Nio subrand.
4) in my opinion the competition should be worry about onvo, not the other way around
5) If you separate the price of the stock from the company, Nio do not need to rush anything, they have shown us a steady growth with increasing sales, expansion, and most importantly an impressive infrastructure. I don't know maybe I'm wrong about this, but I'll stick to my guns.

The battery is LFP able to charge to 100% without degradation worries. BYD'S blade battery technology. If purchasing to own the battery you have piece of mind while sleeping and charging its the safest composition. This point won't be pushed probably as Nio's focus is more on battery swap.

Hurdles for NIO, Geopolitical, target for short hedgefunds because of large retail ownership, not profitable and no dividend. When NIO overcomes these obstacles we'll be on the path to riches. Don't know if ONVO will overcome these. The same way the ET5 came with a lot of promises but failed to deliver on those promises.

The evolution of EV battery technology is uncertain.
NIO needs to accept the reality and slow down the spending to build so many swap stations.
At least address the concern that these older swap stations can be easily modified to charge and replace newer generations of 900V batteries.
If not, its going to be a financial mess.

tesla sucks case closed, would never buy that trash. The US EV industry is a complete fail, theres no good EV options to buy here. Cant wait till NIO comes here to the US so i can purchase one. I wouldnt buy any other EV honestly. Battery swap is the only way to go
New cars will come every year and NIO cannot refresh their vehicles with that frequency. NIO/Onvo advantage is the battery swap and BaaS which Tesla and Zeekr can’t match. This advantage will not be there for ever especially when car companies who partnered with NIO (for battery swap) start delivering new cars.

Nio needs to focus on getting profitable. Drop european expansion, which is a waste of time and money, especially with tariffs being imposed. Forget Firefly since you will apparently need a whole new swapping infrastructure. Vastly improve marketing and efficiency. They are trying to do too much too fast.
Nio will screw up with onvo like their did with the et5 and 7

Agree, first to market is key. People always have recency bias. Lock in the orders before people change their mind.
I agree with you 100%. This is a problem Nio always has just like ET5 and ET7. They announce car too soon then go bust. ET9 announced too soon. People get sick of waiting and say fuck it we buy a mother brand. You can wait on buying a house for many years but in a car you need it now.
