    On Mazda’s website the G15 SP is $27k driveaway and this is just the base model Pure? That’s how much an 6sp auto Mazda3 2.0 with more room, power and refinement cost not too long ago.
    Given the age of this car (seen in the interior) and that it’s not really much better than the one that debuted the generation in 2015, I think getting a last gen Mazda3 from a few years ago for far less, makes more sense if you aren’t deservedly paying $30k for a new generation Mazda3 Pure.
    Can even get a top spec one with electric heated leather seats, Bose audio and the spritely 2.5 on the GT and Astina. Either way this “new” car still sat beneath the old Mazda3 so is already a step down from the 3 let alone the all new 3, this feels 2 generations behind but still so expensive.

    I have 2006 Mazda2 Neo, 1.5L with the same performance, but my old model is more like a small crossover. I call it a mini Forester fir the space inside, practicality and boxy shape.
    Nothing changed re engine but the practicality has gone down the gutter for this.
    What they did, they put the 2006 model chassis on the CX3 and they proudly call it a small SUV. Rubbish.

    • @Digi20
      @Digi20 Před 7 měsíci

      Not exactly. Your first gen model (DY) uses the platform of the 2002 sixth gen ford fiesta (to be exact, the european ford fusion). for its size it was indeed very roomy. the following gen mazda 2 (from 2007, model DE) used the 2008 seventh gen fiesta platform. it got smaller lighter and nimbler but was quite a bit less roomy inside. the mazda 2 DJ from 2014 onwards, and the CX3 use an entirely new platform. its similar to the eighth gen fiesta but its not a real co-development with ford anymore and has completely different engines, electronics, wheelbase etc. its a much more refined than the 2002 fiesta/fusion platform. but you are right in terms of practicallity, a current CX3 does not have more space inside than the over 20 year old fiesta/fusion and first gen mazda 2 had.

    It's kinda pathetic/sad how a sub 27k econobox Mazda 2 has what seems to be ever so important thing these days (ESS - Emergency Stop Signals) to try lower the risk of being rear ended by clearly blind drivers we're stuck with, yet the sad/pathetic part is MANY cars 2, 3 & close to 4 times the price still don't have such an important safety feature in the event of a FULL EMERGENCY STOP situation. Because although notice should be taken in such a agressive stop, many overlook it due to multiple distractions.

    • @AI-qd4vb
      @AI-qd4vb Před 2 lety +1

      @@ravenheart369 Thats a dumb take... Another unfounded myth. Japanese steel is notably famous for being of poor quality overall and japanese engines are just made heavier and stiffer to compensate for that. That brings the heat retention up. Thats why they're also a lot more inefficient compared to the european. This reliability game is such a joke. Let the japanese bring their cars to the hp numbers and fuel efficiency of the europeans and then they can brag about reliability. They dont want to cause thats not their game. They chose to cater to other types of customers. If Merc or Audi sold you the same 20 years old engine with minor adjustments, they'd be as long lasting as any japanese powertrain. They dont cause they know their clients dont care about that. They dont want to drive 500k km on the same car.
      Heat is not an issue anyways. Most cars have proper cooling. You dont want your temp gauge only for critical overheating. That would be useless for most cars. You want it so you can check your average running temp so you know if your engine is at its optimal temp before you start trashing it. Or to know beforehand if something might be wrong with the radiator or cooling system in general by noticing higher than average temps. The idea is not to wait until it does irreversible damage to the internals.

      @@AI-qd4vb WOW! That's a massive pile of BS in a post!
      "That's why they are lot more inefficient compared to the eurpoean"
      Seriously???
      How do you know that?
      Evidence please
      Otherwise, SU!
      Another BS: You want your temp gauge to know when your engine is at the optimum temp blah blah blah!
      You're talking non-sense
      You know why?
      For two reasons:
      Firstly, the temp gauge of most of the today's cars don't show the exact temp.
      For example, The first gen Mazda 3 temp gauges always stays consistent (if the engine works properly) because the gauge temp is not that sensitive to show each and every single celcius in the certain range for example between 80 to 100. And that has been designed deliberately because it gives the driver the peace of mind and less concern about the temp, unlike, for example, Peugeot 206 in which the gauge is so sensitive that you see the slightest increase in the engine temp
      Secondly, even with the most accurate temp gauge you cannot thrash the engine immediately after it reaches the optimum temp because water gets hotter more quickly compared to the engine and transmission oil. So you have to wait a bit more minutes. That's why in high performance cars you do get transmission temp and also engine oil temp and moreover engine oil pressure.
      And again, in terms of your non-sense regarding the unrelibality of the Japanese cars, give us evidence right now otherwise you'd better SU and go play with your Playstation
      Okay baby?
