  • Scenes (PRESUMABLY) animated by Golden Age animator/writer/director Emanuel “Manny” Gould (May 1907 - July 1975).
Manny Gould’s animation is an in-between of Rod Scribner’s loose and frenetic animation and Bob McKimson’s tighter and 3-Dimensional animation. His character acting uses a ton of overshoot, wild takes, exaggerated smear frames, and loud hand gestures. Gould also enjoys utilizing deep perspective in his animations. Michael Barrier once described his animation as a “gaudy show carnivals”.

Great reel! I'm surprised you didn't show off some of his work on "Draftee Daffy"! It's some of the wildest stuff he's ever done.
On a side note, I believe Gould animated all of his scenes straight ahead. The energy is high enough that it'd be difficult to achieve the same effect by keying it out first. Plus, he started in the business around the same time that animating everything straight ahead was standard practice. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't want to adapt to the newer approach.
