So weird - I’ve been propagation sweet potatoes (garnet reds) for years, and all I do is let them sit on my window sill. They start producing vines and that’s when I slice a flat part off the bottom and plant it. 🤷♀️
Been growing sweet potatoes for years. Cut up potatoes having an eye in each piece. Bury them straight into ground. Keep them moist and you'll have plants that produce. I even plant them in pots early and when I plant flowering planters I add them to them. Beautiful results. Try it.
