People have been asking about Iron Phosphate, here is the link to Iron Phosphate product: amzn.to/3TRFm5E and coconut coir amzn.to/3KAZFS7
Only 2 chits per potato, I have to take some off.
My potatoes are full of chits.
@@feetsoap4266 Better find out before planting rather than after, amirite? 😎
What if you wanted to grow the. Leaves longer for a bigger harvest. Later
Never heard them called "chits".
We always called them "eyes"
Thanks.
This link leads not to an iron phosphate product but to a pesticide.
Thanks! I love this guy. He knows his chit.
😂❤
Limit your chits to just 2 chits.
Chit happens
You’re chitting me!
Har😂
You just got nominated for the Nobel potato prize.
Those are the magic words for me..."I like to keep my videos short and to the point". OMGosh so many people just blab on and on. I appreciate that Jag. This means I am going to see what other videos you have. Never heard of this 2 chit method. I am going to try it this spring. Thank you
Glad you liked the video!
lol it’s usually Americans that have the long winded videos 😂
@@Rosesraspberries72 Some people just like to hear themselves talk, haha
Me too haven't heard
So so true....where is the off button.. Years ago I jokingly asked a friend if she had one.
Never knew to limit to two chits. Never knew to cut off extra chits. Never knew the size factor. I've been growing potatoes a long time and never knew these things. Last years I had LOTS of small potatoes. Thank you for a new strategy. I will follow these good pieces of advice.
Me either. Now I know what to do differently this year. Some of my potatoes came out the size of marbles
:)
Me too! 😊 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Same here.
I’d never heard that information either. Great video!!
Thank you so much! In my ignorance, if I had seen those "cured" potatoes, I would have thrown them out, thinking they were ruined! Ignorance is not bliss. Blessed is the man who knows how to garden well. Thank you for explaining things as you work.
Holy cow - the things I've learned from you about planting potatoes! Amazing! I love the fact that you inform us quickly and succinctly! Thanks Jag!!!
Glad you like the content! :)
Please what is the pink thing u put in the soil sorry I’m french n don’t understand all about this named
It's Iron Phosphate amzn.to/3TRFm5E
I appreciate this so much! You're clear, concise, and to the point. I hate how other CZcams videos try and act loud and juvenile like the viewers are young kids instead of adults looking to learn. Thank you. I learned so much! I'm following now.
Glad you like the video!
Just to the point. I hope to retire in a few years and move to a rural area. As a kid we planted about 2 acres in between apple, pear, and cherry trees. There were days in summer we kids never came home to eat till supper time. Just picked our way through the day. I dreamed of a suit and tie job my whole childhood. Now I want my boots, gloves, and a big dung heap to plant in.
Thank you I didn't know about the 2 chits just thought the more eyes on the potatoes the better 🥔 😊 👍
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us and with a warm smile. I agree with others that you get to the information quickly and succinctly. I appreciate that. Other gardeners repeat the same information over and over and their video goes on too long.
I just cant believe how they have access to just such a large variety of fruits , trees and plants. Feels like they live in paradise. Fresh produce right on their door step , surrounded by nature and enjoyed together in a close knit family and community! All the money in the world cant buy what they have.
Great potato video. I always planted my potatoes with as many chits as possible, and my crops were not the best. This year, I am going to remove the chits down to just a couple. Thank you!
Did you notice any difference?
I have watched a lot of videos about planting potatoes and your video has given the clearest most informative explanations of the how -to’s I have seen! Keep on with this excellent content! Thanks for all your dedication to providing excellent content!
Thank you very much for the kind and encouraging words, means a lot!
Yes, I second that! I’ve been doing a lot of research to start my first potato season and, Jag, you and your channel are simply the best!
Good morning from Arizona, I've been watching your videos since I saw the one about your grandfather very wise man, reminds me of my great grandfather, lived till 108 but he loved plant and grow he garden, I should have payed more attention, very glad to find your videos, I'm learning a lot, thank you
Thank you for another great video. I'm from Idaho so I didn't think I could learn anything new but I did... I always thought the more chits the better! I also love how you get right to business instead of talking about what happened the last week on your homestead before getting to the "meat and potatoes" of what we're watching for 😂
8:29 holy cow, that was an incredible video! I wish I saw you last year when I tried potatoes for the first time. Watched all kinds of videos and none of them told me the information that you just gave. You had me so intrigued during your video that I never wandered off of what you were saying.
I have planted potatoes for many years and never knew to eliminate the grow buds to get bigger potatoes. I always got all different sizes. I will try your method this year👍😊Thank you
Excellent info! Thanks Jag.
Hi Mr. Singh♥️
Thank you soo very much for showing in full detail how to step by step to plant potatoes.
I plan on planting properly and growing potatoes 💯👍
I love your videos. They're so clear and not too long. Thanks!
Such great advices! Thank you, can't wait to have the proper place to try all the things I'm learning from you. Dreams Come true ✨✨✨
Never had such a definitive explanation about growing potatoes... Thanks for sharing!!!
You are the absolute best Jag .thanks for such an informative video .I cant wait to try this method out.
You always have such great advice thanks for sharing
Thank you for explaining the Chits procedure!!!
Appreciate all your sharing very much. I buy a 50 lb box russets every Fall but I store them in a dark cool cupboard from a local farm, they last us all winter til April. The last few do sprout but were leggy and white so I just composted them. Will bring my box out real soon to a light spot and try to grow some for the first time. Thanks for acknowledging amendments for sandy soil, my garden soil is basically old riverbed sandy and gravelly. Love all your content and feel blessed to receive the heart felt sharing of your gardening wisdom. :))
Thank you Jag for making this simple! 😊
Thank you, you have explained this so well
Wow! Thank youuuu so much Jag❤️
Thanks for explaining all this! Much appreciated- I never knew why I got lots of small potatoes. I have SUBSCRIBED!
Thank you so much for being so thorough in your presentation. I’ve been looking for something like this for quite a while.
Excellent video on a topic that has confounded me for many years! Thank you! Thank you!
Of all of the videos I’ve seen on potatoes which is a ton, I was learning from you no sooner after you started talking. Thank you so very much for this information because I can bet next to no one knows this stuff
You are excellent at explaining and showing - thank you.
You make the happiest videos! Thank you!!!!!!
Thank you Jag! I never planted potatoes but am glad to know about these tips before starting.
Just found your site. I'm from England and like your other viewers I've learned a lot. Been growing spuds for years but never knew about reducing the chits to two. I'll soon be planting mine so I'll be really keen to see this method..Thank you..
👍👍
Thanks so much for being so clear and explaining everything for us!!❤️
Thanks for straight to the point, clear info. Fab!
Wow, excellent, concise video! I learned so much without having to hear music, listen to endless chatter, or no talking only pointing without explanation. I'm ready to binge watch your videos! Thank you.
this is GOLD
Thank you!
Wow at last some basic simple information! Even the difference between rooty spuds and chit spuds was helpful!
Thank you Jag for sharing your gardening expertise with us, Greatly Appreciated!💯👍
This is perfect timing as my seed potatoes should be in route to me now ☺️ 🥔 I never knew this about the chits! This just came up in my feed. I just liked and subscribed!
Very good video. You show where I screwed up last year. Now that I'm ready to prepare my spuds for chit growing......I'll be heading in the right direction. Now, I see why all my spuds were small, and took a long time for them to mature....Thanks :)
Great detailed video! Thank you ❤ I’m going to plant my chitted potatoes now…
This is the most informative potato growing video I've ever seen. Thank you for posting it! I tires growing potatos for the first time last year and it was an epic failure, not one tuber. I resigned to just not being good at it but this video gave me hope that if I follow your steps I will have success next time
Glad the info was helpful :)
Yeah and it was nice and fast 🙌🥔
Also look up what type of food your plants need to thrive I heard potatoes like more acidity like blueberry plants just a hint of knowledge I am planting this weekend looking for the right feed for the soil for potatoes
I don't believe it any fool can grow potatoes, being good at it is a different matter.
So informative! Thank you.
Wow, just a few seconds into program & I’ve learned something new. Thank you ‼️
Excellent videos. I really like how clear and concise they are.
Excellent presenter! Friendly, concise information, good pace, well spoken, a pleasure to watch. Thank you.

Thank you!!! To much information!! I am learning a lot from your videos! Very short and to the point. ❤
Had to watch the video twice as there’s so much excellent content and advice to take in. So with new knowledge on board I’m looking forward to nice big potatoes later this year. Thank you kind sir, your video is much appreciated.
Me either. I've been planting my potatoes wrong. Thank you for the info Jag.

I’ve been studying “ growing potatoes “ & found your video the one I’m going with.Short,to the point.Thankyou.Australia 😎👍
thank you for these great tips!!!
THANK YOU! I LOVE your "Getting to the Point," videos! I will be seeking out the rest of them!
Jag, I learned so much ! Thank you. I’m in love 🥰
Thank you for explaining the organic fertilizer ratio, and how that ratio changes as the potatoes grow- very interesting (and helpful!)
Excellent video! Thank you!
Awesome info!! I'm so grateful for this new understanding of how to grow potatoes!! Thank You!!
Thank you for easy, concise steps to follow to get me to the fall harvest.
Great video! Last year I planted the chips. I cut them the same as the ones you are discarding. I had that very best harvest, and I believe 90% of what I planted started new plants. The more potato you leave in the ground is just a handful of mush later when you're digging them up. This worked for me
Thank you - very concise and packed with useful information. I will use your method this year!
Thanks for the information on the nutrients and chits. I am staring into my hands at potato growing this year and will be sure to follow your advice!
Concise and helpful. Always love your videos!
Just found you. I really like your detailed instructions on how to prep and plant potatoes. Thank you so much.
Thank you! Very informative and easy to follow Nevis of your excellent demonstration and narration.
Thanks for the clarification.
Thanks! Now I am going to have to watch this again and take notes.
Thanks Jag Singh, for explaining the details while demonstrating them at the same time. Nice video.
Super presentation!!

Very informative video, tyvm!
Thanks kindly. Appreciate the advise.
thank you! Great video, just subscribed!
Splendid, thank you! Have grown potatoes for more than thirty years and love to learn how to do it still better :) .
Thank you for your wisdom. You have shown me what I did wrong last year.
I like how you continually update a subject - not just one and done.
Subbed. I love succinct and clear!
Thank you ! I just shared this with several people who are trying potatoes for the first time. Great info.. I never knew about limiting the chits. I'll be planting mine this weekend & using a lot of your methods. Blessings from NW Florida!
Did you get a better yield?
@@Swampe84 the potatoes were bigger. Unfortunately an armadillo took out a lot of the garden in that area, so my harvest was enough for a couple of meals. Replanting for a fall crop.
@brendanelson1027 Great news about the potatoe size. My variety is a small one, so anything to increase size is welcome.
Too bad about the armadillo #@!&%$!!!
Learned a lot thank you
Love this!!! Thank you so much! 😊
Thanks very much! Very helpful!!
Love your style here. Quick full info, not elongating it. Thanks so much! Subbed. 👍
