    Thank you for the practical review of this headlamp, Mattias. I liked the way you presented the beam shots from the wearer’s perspective as well as looking at the wearer from a distance. It seems to me that this headlamp strikes a good balance between floodiness and distance. I particularly liked the capability to change the intensity of the red light. The power source is well thought out with either the rechargable or easily available AAA batteries. The construction seems sturdy, however time will tell as to durability. Thank you again.

      Thanks for taking time with this feedback Harry! Yes the functions and quality is what makes this headlamp. I have used it everyday in 3 months and i looks and works as new. Time will tell but it seems rock solid.

    These are the videos I’m looking for! Good honest reviews… from people that actually use the product. Most reviews are TOP 10 BEST… which is some person that looks at the top 10 best rated/selling Amazon products and just puts their affiliate link so they can make money. Great job Sir… you earned a like the good old fashion way 👍

      Ooh thanks Greg, much appreciated. This is one of my favorite equipment. Use it alot and without doubt the best head lamp i've ever had. But my experience has been with these headlamps you buy at a gas station. This is something else. Super robust and have never let me down.

    I use the Petzl Actik Core since 9 months and I'm super happy with it. Once you have selected 1 out 3 different strong white light beams, the next button press switches them off. I didn't discovered the red light for 8 months until I gave my Petzl to a friend.

    I had the litle brother for some years now. Black diamond makes realy good headlamps! It is ambsolutely essential equipment to bring when you camp and do activities here in Norway (in my opinion) alot of people underrastemate the value of such a device! Thank you for this review tjommi. I am looking for something a little bit brighter when i upgrade! To supplement when i’m out skiing! The one i have is more than enough for all the other stuff i do! I think it is 300lumens or something. Cheers 🔥

      @Braapncamp  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks Thomas! I agree, a headlamp is essential everywhere. Up here in the north at the darker patches of year. But I was surprised when we were at the Mediterranean coast and has to use the headlamp when making bbq dinner for the family at the evenings 😂. It was summer. Have had numerous of cheap ones before, but this is something else, instead of the cold blueish LED color cheap ones often have. This has a warm color in the wide spread mode. The special lense does a good job on high beam for a 350 lumen lamp. I have used it more or less every day since I bought it, only recharge it every 2-3 weeks. Have You got any package yet? 😁

    Just got a new Spot after using a Storm for many years. I find the on/off control button on the Spot to be a little too awkward to use. You have to press in just the right place with the button area to get the light to come on. It could be a little easier to get to turn on and off with a different design, maybe raised up a bit.

    Thank you for the video! Is the Revolt still going? I've read it many times that the battery compartment is easy to break, which is why I'm afraid to buy it. Do you find it easy to open, or is it something that need to be forced?

      It is definitely still going strong! A friend of mine broke his battery cover, first time trying it. Have not had the problem, installed the battery initially and have opened it a couple of times. Normally I do not open the battery cover since You do not need that to charge the battery. I use this head lamp more or less every day. No degration of the battery either, works as new. Thanks and happy trails!

      8 hours on highbeam and approx 200h on low to mid. I recharge it every two weeks or so. It takes some time to charge, not meassured but a couple of h. The rechargeable battery is replaceable and an extra could easily be purchased at BD. The battery compartment takes 3 AAA batterys as well if needed. Thanks for commenting.
