He was being tested in high tech labs by professionals. He didn't had anybody, no family, no friends, even no people. He didn't even saw the sun outside. He was kept underground whole his childhood. He was miserable in his past. In one of the scenes in the show, he saw someone put his white blanket in the bed for a recording. He recognised that white blanket was the only thing he had in that lab cell as a kid. So he got mad and sad. That's why he is like this today.
