If they where real addicts they wouldn't have been convinced to not go through with it, especially if they're the types with body dysmorphia these no matter what is said or shown to them they will still get it done and many times people only realise their mistakes once they already fucked up, while some never see anything wrong with how they destroyed themselves. I don't think the people on this video are real addicts, they are beginners in the field so to speak.

People need to be more aware what they say, you can say their make up isn’t ok because they can easily fix it but you don’t gain or do anything except possible kill someone when telling them that their nose is ugly or etc because the only thing you can expect from doing that is destroying their future and possibly getting them killed.

o w o Thank you for your thoughtful response. I had cancer that affected my spine and hips and over the course of my lifetime, I’ve had at least 20+ bone surgeries, none of which were elective. There is a risk with every anesthesia event, and it’s been shown the certain anesthetics shorten lifespan, even when the anesthesia and surgery were uncomplicated and successful. For these reasons, I will NEVER subject my body to unnecessary anesthetics and surgery. I’d love to have more than an A cup, love to have that totally flat stomach back after having children, I’d love to fix my chin, but not badly enough to risk my life for it. I couldn’t live with the guilt if I ended up unable to care for my children or if I lost my ability to work simply because I wanted perky breasts. But unless you’ve had serious complications after surgery or really pay attention to the risks, you think it’s no big deal. I agree with you 100%.

This was hard to watch.. I underwent some cosmetic surgeries in my early 20's and thankfully never had any issues as a result.. by fluke I had a great surgeon who knew his work. Now in my 30's though and having to research having implants etc replaced as you should every 10-12yrs as recommended I find myself questioning my mortality etc more often and now have a fear of doing it.. people need to put more research into these types of choices that we make. Life is short, do what makes you happy..But..do the research, weigh up the risks and make informed decisions..

CARLA LAPPIN hey girl! 😊.. so sorry you had that complication but so glad you're OK! And I so relate to wishing that I'd never had them done.. I love the results of my surgeries but the upkeep and the risks far outweigh those results.. especially long term and especially with breast implants! There's so much added risk with having them redone because you either need an added lift or reduction with scarring or you keep having to go bigger..😑 I haven't made a decision either way yet with having my implant revision but it adds a level of fear that I never had originally. Hindsight is an amazing thing, if I'd known then what I know now then I wouldn't have done it. People definitely need to think long term and not in the moment when it comes to cosmetic surgeries.. and the expense!
I hope the future is amazing for you and fingers crossed that when the time comes you don't have any more complications 😊x

We don't all need to look alike. This lady nailed it - the only people needing plastic surgery are the ones born with a birth defect or burn victims. We need to start embracing aging. Totally agree - if there is a real issue you're dealing with, go for the surgery if you feel the benefits outweigh the risks. But if you're doing it to "feel better about yourself", I suggest going to a therapist first to deal with whatever insecurities you have BEFORE you make the decision to opt for surgery. If anything, the problem isn't in our body but our lack of self esteem that makes the situation worse.

All this video shows is that it can be risky (like all surgeries) and it’s in your best interests to not go to some shady overseas place for it which seems like common sense for everyone. Some people get nose jobs for snoring and deviated septum’s etc. Those aren’t cosmetic until it’s for superficial reasons, which her surgery was.

it's very sad what happened to this woman but this isn't an accurate representation of plastic surgery. she faced the consequences of not listening to her doctors and then going abroad for something that they wouldn't perform on her in her own country bc they knew it wasn't safe. if you want plastic surgery then don't let this video scare you away from it. i had a rhino/septoplasty a month ago and it's been life changing to get rid of the insecurity that plagued me for so long. if you go to a reliable surgeon who you've researched, preferably one that's in your own country (especially if you live in the us bc the regulations are very strict here), and if you LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTOR when they tell you no, then you are going to be fine. what happened to this woman was the result of bad decisions on her part and malpractice on behalf of the surgeon who should be in jail rn. where i live, there are so many amazing surgeons who perform plastic surgery the right way. they won't leave you looking extreme, and if you ask for something extreme then they will tell you no. they care for your health and safety. if you see someone looking extremely fake, it means they went to a bad surgeon. plastic surgery can be life changing even if it's just for cosmetic reasons. we live in a visual world and nobody can deny that looks matter. if you have an insecurity that's bothered you for so long, you have the right to fix it.

Beauty and perfection is in the eye of the beholder, you shouldn't let a complex overcome your life to the point of it "ruining it", if you get go that point you should go to a psychologist before doing any permanent changes you might regret... Also its of course up to the individual, but i wouldn't say 16-20 years old are mature enough to get a surgery. It is a very sensitive issue, of course im not saying lets ban cosmetic surgery, but im trying to make people see it as a last resource rather than just a simple option...

I hated the way it looked and it just didn't fit with the rest of my face. I wore glasses just to try and hide it. I got my nose from my dad and like I said, it was just not aesthetically pleasing. Nobody bullied me for it because of the way I managed to hide it and because I was always making jokes about it as well. If my child does not like their nose and it is within reason, I will stand by them and let them have the surgery just like my own parents allowed me to. I couldn't have been happier with my decision and to be honest with you, nobody noticed that I had had cosmetic surgery. They just thought I had lost weight or did my make up differently. If you go to a good surgeon, the change will not be dramatic or over the top. It will be as if you had always had that nose and that's exactly how I feel right now.

If the doctors didn’t recommend it then she shouldn’t have done it.
Since Cosmetic surgeries are usually not denied such as breast enlargement (depending on the size you want) or lip fillers and nose jobs, I’d say anything that is less denied is cosmetics, since it’s a personal problem and not of a high risk like serious surgeries like Gastric bypass.
On the other hand, if she got Liposuction then I’d consider it cosmetic surgery. Because it is less likely to be denied

My guess is that there is alot of people who has told them that they are beautiful, but this don`t matter if a person has mental issues. That is they need to fix the brain not the body. They need to spend all the money on a therapist, and do work for years on their mind. But most people are brainwashed to belive that confidence can be fixed by external things like love from others, consumeing, and so on. These things are never going to fix a mind that has anxiety/trauma

terrible, but to be fair, gastric bypass isn't usually for cosmetic purposes. Its done for the morbidly obese to stop their addiction and save their life. She was way too thin to have that done! But yes, have seen cosmetic surgery go so wrong.... so so wrong.

The things I’ve ever considered getting done is a nose job and possibly leg lengthening. I’d also get Botox and stuff but that isn’t really surgery. The Nose job will benefit my mental health. The leg surgery would make me look more proportional. Willing to healthily discuss if anyone has anything to say, not willing to argue. :)

Bottom line is everyone's body responds differently to trauma(surgery) either your body can handle it or it can't. Also making sure to research doctors better, finding out what their mistakes were in other patients. Making sure they have the right certifications and experienced. Ive never had plastic surgery but it is not all or even mostly bad.

dumb title -.- way to make cosmetic surgery seem awful and unacceptable again. If a doctor tells you that the surgery you want is too risky, don’t force it. But there’s nothing wrong with plastic surgery in the first place.

Getting Plastic surgery in countries like Poland, the Czech republic or turkey might be really cheap but it can be a total failure. My suggestion is to try to accept yourself the way you are and if you got your whole body redone you might regret it.

I've seen some really horrible documentaries about the plastic surgery in Korea. It does go wrong a lot, just they can afford to keep the patients quiet. They literally sue people who say anything negative about their company. It's truly awful.

Her BMI was already too low for gastric bypass, so it wasn’t for strictly medical reasons such as in patients who are obese. That’s why she had to go to a whole other country to get it done because she wanted it for a cosmetic reason.

Agreed - it's one thing if she was given the go-ahead and something happened. But no, she didn't listen to her doctor because she has serious self esteem and body image issues. Went out of the country (I'm sorry but not all countries have proper standards and regulations in place!), and the doctor there screwed up!
If you have to get plastic surgery to correct an actual issue (due to an accident, health issue or birth defect), I understand that. But if it's only because you want to look "perfect", shut the hell up and go see a psychotherapist to get rid of your insecurities.

People go into plastic surgery to look more natural but the more you do the more unnatural it looks.
It's sad because most people how do it really don't need it. Most people should just try to love who they really are. Self confidence is key.

Why would you have surgery unless it’s to help your life? I had mouth surgery and it was the most awful thing ever because it went wrong, I can’t imagine why people would get surgery because they want to look pretty! Surgery is always a risk.

  • @Emilyfrst
    @Emilyfrst Před rokem +1

This is ridiculous. The chances of something going wrong are obviously higher in cases where UK doctors advise against or simply refuse to do the procedure. She knew she couldn’t have the procedure and did it anyway. Nowhere near this dangerous if the doctors agree you’re a suitable candidate (every surgery carries some level of risk). Some people just aren’t that bright.
