      The US Congress in 1993 would have outright banned Mortal Kombat if they saw today's Fatalities and probably would have put a prohibition on including blood and extreme violence in future video games. Say goodbye to the fighting games and shooters of the 1990s that led to a lot of today's game franchises and e-sports.

      I mean these are the same people that saw night trap and threw a shitfit saying it was a game promoting sexual assault. In reality it was a very cheesy and bad interactive game using real life footage to stop "vampires" from kidnapping teen girls to take their blood via going through camera footage and activating traps. ESRB came around in part due to something seen as laughably stupid by today's standards rather than sexually graphic or violent. Though MK and its fatalities were the exhibit A that really made a much more understandable push and for good reason.

      I know it has been 2 weeks since this comment and also the video, in the new MK timeline since MK 9 or 2011 Bi Han (the oldest bro) became Sub Zero and Kuai Liang (youngest) became Tundra, after the events from the first 5 chapters of story mode in the first MK tournament Hanzo Hasashi (Scorpion) tooks Sub Zero life and then he became a revenant better known as Noob Saibot by the dark magic of Quan Chi, then Tundra became Sub Zero (in the chapter 7 of Smoke we know that) and then in the second MK tournament the new Sub Zero gets revenge on Scorpion then Sektor and Cyrax as cyborgs took him, before this tooks Scorpion life. And he became a cyber Lin Kuei, then he and other combatants were killed and became revenant and he was once more Sub Zero, in MK X comics and the videogame, it was until MK 11 that they faced again one as Noob Saibot and the other as Sub Zero.

    Just so you know about Subzero fighting Batman comes from the game Mortal Kombat Vs DC. You see Warner Bros used to own DC and Netherrealms studio, so the guys at Nether asked if they could do a collab, which was awesome. So awesome that a few years later DC asked Netherrealms to make a Mortal Kombat game for DC characters, giving us Injustice then Injustice 2, and yes Scorpion was a dlc fighter in the first game.

    Fun fact they actually got some things wrong about the fight. Sub-zeros form of teleportation isn't like Scorpions where he can teleport midair. In each game he has to be connected to something and falls through it, such as the ground. The minute Glacius was under him he lost that connection. Another thing that would have happened is sub zero's ice attacks wouldn't work against Glacius. There would be no freezing as each ice like projectile would only add to Glacius's armor. They didn't do a lot of research for the fight as this was one of their earlier videos and things are thrown together. Wait till season 6 and that's when they started analyzing things better as well as having improved fights that are more accurate.

    While most people would agree with the win, I'd heavily disagree with it. Sub-Zero is only small-large building level, max, which ranges to 2 Tons to
    11 Tons. Glacius however is at bare minimum island level, which is 4.3 Gigatons
    to 100 Gigatons, which is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy higher in strength and durability. Glacius is only slightly faster at max, but this giant gap, along with regeneration makes it so he can't possibly be hurt or killed.

      @christophermonteith2774 Před 3 lety

      he can definitely be hurt. between sub-zero's experience and the fact that Glacius needs the ice armor for protection, which sub can break with his bear hands, and sub zero has fought beings like Glacius before, where as Glacius hasn't really fought someone like sub zero before (to my knowledge). Add that sub zero is likely far more potent with his ice and more versatile, the power really wont make much difference

    This is one I have some mixed feelings on. On the one hand, I really don’t know enough about Glaciusand Killer Instinct in general to contest it. On the other hand, this is back when they still used “ninja powers” as a major win excuse (such as when they concluded Scorpion should have no trouble avoiding Ryu’s Raging Demon because “ninja abilities” rather than measuring any kind of speed or reaction times). It feels very fan wanky to just say “ninja r k00l”. In fact in this battle ninjas are so cool… they Sub-Zero. 8-)

I’m not saying they didn’t provide supporting points, but they absolutely favored ninja cool factor over actual numbers and analysis, which happens a fair amount in the earlier seasons. Thankfully they have since grown and developed their process beyond that over time, but it’s absolutely a bias they ran on for a time.

    I think i agree with the win on this one, but i can also see Glacius taking the win just as easily. That would mostly come down to the fact of if Sub-Zero's ice abilities would even affect Glacius. We know that Sub-Zero's body (although much stronger than human) has no resistance to being stabbed or slashed, but the ice armor of Glacius would probably be equally durable to the ice that Sub-Zero could hit him with, so while Sub-Zero himself is probably physically stronger than Glacius, their ice powers are about equal, so i do have my doubts wether or not Sub-Zero could actually break through the armor of Glacius in any meaningful way using his ice weaponry, as Glacius could probably just easily add the ice of these weapons to his armor instead. But it also stands to reason that their ice powers just cancel eachother out, in which case it would come down to the fact of wether or not Sub-Zero could get close enough to Glacius (as their speed is about the same and Glacius primarily fights at range), and then deal enough damage to actually break his ice armor with his bare hands (which i personally think is a bit of a coin toss from what i know ?).

    • @danielwilson8604
      @danielwilson8604 Před 3 lety

      you're forgetting that whatever ice weapon sub zero would use would have his physical strength behind it, and that he'd likely use his bare hands. they already discussed that he definitely could do that.

    • @TheJeSTeR7530
      @TheJeSTeR7530 Před 3 lety

      @@danielwilson8604 Of course, but if we were to assume the ice has about the same durability, then both the weapon and whatever part of the armor is hit would both break at roughly the same time. Even if Sub-Zero is stronger, as long as their Ice is roughly equal in durability, both would break, obviously there would still be the force behind the attack to consider, but what im more wondering is if the broken ice of the weapon could be manipulated by Glacius to function as new armor. Essentially, what im wondering is if it would even be effective to attack Glacius with an Ice Weapon, or if it would be more useful for Sub-Zero to just attack with his bare hands. Because if that is the case, then it would come down wether or not one could kill the other soley based on their experiences as well as their strenght, speed and reflexes, which is where i could easily see this being a bit of a coin toss. I would probably still give Sub-Zero the win more often than not, but i can see Glacius being the winner in a couple of variations of this fight as well, though a lot of this comes down to the fact of how their ice powers would actually interact, because although Sub-Zero is definetley a powerful cryomancer, Glacius own cryomancy does seem a lot more skillfull, precise and potent, while their strenght and speed seem to be roughly equal, with Glacius taking the edge in durability and more ranged combat options, while Sub-Zero takes the edge in experiences, reflexes and close quarters combat options.

    sub zero can reform himself using the ice he creates, so as long as some of his magic ice is blasted at Glacius when he turns to water, even if sub zero is eaten by the water, it is redused to this same magic ice that sub zero created & holds his power, & so he can reform himself from that ice. it is sort of hard to say who is stronger but both of them can become ice or water & reform from that. Yet sub zero dose that better. Well Glacius can turn into water, he can only do this for a limited time B4 he needs to refrom his body & his body is something sub zero can break. Yet sub zero's version of this is throwing ice & using that ice to then reform his body with the power & engy contained in the ice magic. it is more becoming a sheet of ice & not a putle of water. So it is about how much energy sub zero has left to use his ice magic & how much ice is around containing his energy did he put into the ice around him & his attacks.

    You completely misunderstood how Sub-Zero got through to Glacuis's core.
    It wasn't his cold powers that affected his core and killed him. It was Sub-Zero's strength, since he could chop through titanium, like the statue or, more canonically, the shell of the heavily armored Cyber Lin Kui he normally chops through like butter.
    Suby could break him in half whenever he was able to get close. It had nothing to do with cold abilities or resistance. Even if Glacius's core could take Suby's cold powers, it couldn't stop metal-smashing strength.
