Your apt is coming out nicely. One thing i always think about is nyc being so dirty and people wear their shoes inside…like why. Theres nothing worst than entering someones place and it feeling dirty from all the foot traffic.

Confused European question: to prevent the rug getting dirty from the "street dirt", why don't you just take the shoes off when entering the apartment? 😂 I really do not get this concept! Here we usually own a few "house shoes" (literally translated from German), which we offer guests, so their feet don't freeze and they don't slip when they only have socks on.
