That, and the emotional nature of the times provide ample opportunity for scammers to collect "donations" that may not actually be used for the stated goal. Armor only gets rated by the NIJ if you submit it to them and put up the money to do the testing and certification. If someone claims to have the best armor technology in the world and doesn't get it NIJ rated, that says more about them or their product than the NIJ.
SFD is the best gear I have used to date. The duty belt is also amazing.

Look at the nonprofit UACC they are taking bulk body armor to ship out to Ukraine they have they licenses appropriate to ship out defense material
