"How can Leon be so stiff standing next to Claire?"
Please do not tempt your audience's sense of humor.
MUST CONTINUE THE REDFIELD BLOODLINE
@@RippahRooJizah And Leon is the only man fit for the job.
Games based on films based on games are the ultimate aesthetic.
Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game.
Ratchet & clank 2016
@@Cartoonguy133
Spongebob Squarepants: the Movie: the Game.
It’s actually a good game, though.
@@Ckoz2829 That's a game based on a movie based on a cartoon. That's different from what we're talking about.
We need a movie based on a game that was based on a movie (and was intended to fill in some gaps). THEN WE NEED A GAME OF THAT MOVIE (again)!
OK Uncle Derek, I'll admit it. For a second there you had me convinced that there was an obscure Resident Evil Degeneration game for PSP. Bravo sir.
Yeah I really wish that it was real, it would've made sense, plus to play a game like that with actual buttons would've sold it to people like me out the gate.
Same
@@bobafett4265 there is supposedly a Resident Evil Portable game for the PSP that was announced way back in E3 2009 the same conference they announced the PSP Go man i was just a 2nd grader back then….
ALSO DMC PORTABLE FOR PSP IS CANCELLED TOO WHY CAPCOM…..
I never owned a PSP and was never really in that scene so he had me. Though I thought it looked a little clunky to how I remember my friends' PSPs looking.
Got me so damn good haha I was a millisecond away from looking it up.
2:35 "How can he be so stiff next to Claire?!" ... We just gonna let that one slide?
Degeneration continues to show Claire is the best Redfield.
That's why Chris is so adamant to continue the Redfield lineage through her
Degeneration was the only good animated RE movie.
@@vanerek LEEEOOOOOOON
It's a simple fact. Someone tell Capcom though!
yeah, but who you gonna call if a bolder fall near your home
This is probably one of the most ssff topics I've ever seen
2:34 "How can he be so stiff next to Claire?" Well...
Nice video! Around the 11:20 mark, I had this weird moment of realisation. "I'm watching a version comparison of two versions of a game I never played, never knew existed, have no interest in playing, and probably couldn't get my hands on even if I wanted to... But I love that this video exists!" I think that's the quintessential SSFF experience.
This game and Dead Space got done dirty. Both deserved PSP versions.
That dead space mobile game was fantastic and worked really well as a setup for 2. The fact it's basically lost forever now is a tragedy.
That mobile game is my only experience with dead space, but I remember it being really good
@@monkaWGiga You can still play it on Android with a APK
“How can he be so stiff next to Claire?” Leon is trying to do right by Chris and keep the bloodline going Derek
3:14 is probably one of the best summaries I've ever heard for a movie. Thank you so much for the cheesiness.
The "degeneration" subtitle was irony at its finest
Being a wrestling fan who grew up in the 90s means that mentally I cannot hear the word degeneration without thinking X, and frankly, the world needs a game where HHH and Shawn Michaels wrestle zombies for inexplicable reasons.
[Old Man Vince:Summon the ECW Zombie!]
Double Dragon-style arcade game where Chyna has been kidnapped by an evil Vince McMahon and his army of zombified wrestlers. Shawn and Triple H have to grapple, kick, and sledgehammer their way through a WWE arena, culminating in a ring match between the two and Vince, before the duo are forced to face each other in the squared circle in one last pinfall to end it all.
Final level has DX, on a tank, storming the arena where zombies have resurrected WCW Nitro.
@@BeesechurgerProductions and then a special stage where you dance as shawn michaels disguise like shane mcmahon and trying not be stopped by ''vince HHH mcmahon'' x'D
Can I request a Metal Gear Solid Mobile episode? Current coverage is pretty lacking.
It's been 1 year Derek, where is it.
@awii4359 I think he is waiting for the release of delta.
I'm not joking I thought this game was a fever dream I cooked up in my brain. Glad to know I'm not crazy 🤣
Me too! I had it on one of my old phones, and I swear I thought I made this up for a while lol. But I’m glad to see I’m not totally crazy!!
I knew this existed but no one believed me. Now if only the musical sections in the Donkey Kong tv series were just a fever dream.
I swear, remember playing this on my ipod touch back in the day
Same, I was honestly shocked this was a thing, and yet, I owned it back in the day.
THPS was hella awesome on the NGage. Way ahead of its time imo, a shame it didn't catch on as well as it could.
The threat of airplanes full of zombies taking off on autopilot might be the funniest thing I've ever heard of in gaming. 😂 Thanks for the excellent video!
The intro is proof that uncle derek could tell me anything and I would believe it. My blind faith in you is shaken
Delisted games might be a real threat to game preservation especially for mobile games. Thanks Uncle Derek for saving it and documenting it for us
I remember playing the demo for this on my 3rd gen iPod on the bus as a kid. It barely ran and I loved every second of it
Reading this made me feel incredibly old
I guess you mean iPod Touch? (I guess that’s showing my age too, heh, I remember kids getting excited about the iPod Mini and Nano when I was in school.)
Capcom's "dedication to N-Gage" was about as strong as their "dedication to GameCube".
When we're getting a Zeebo RE4 review, Uncle Derek? As a Brazilian I need that
In a couple weeks! It’s being edited right now 😎
Like we say here in Brazil: Opa
@@StopSkeletonsFromFighting You are honestly looking at Zeebo? Dude, how are you THIS COOL?
@@StopSkeletonsFromFighting I mean, I've never had a Zeebo. Makes sense, because I'm from Turkey, a completely different part of the world. However, I'm absolutely in love with these types of devices, because they're the proof of the incredible diversity in the gaming industry.
What I loved the most as a kid was exploring the internet and finding new, weird little games. That's how I got into retro gaming and indie gaming in the first place. Gaming is so colorful, so diverse, with millions of different experiences hiding in plain sight for you to find. I know I haven't been able to convey my excitement for the gaming scene all that well as my english is kinda rusty, but I hope I was able to share at least some of the delight and sense of wonder I've experienced with you, all because of various games I've had the chance of experiencing over the years.
Vai Uncle Derek
3:14 is an underrated moment. I can't imagine how long it took you to come up with that
There are 4 things that keep me from recycling my old, long dead iphone in the hopes I'll eventually resurrect it. Can't wait to watch the videos on Doom II RPG, Dead Space, and the Silent Hill dungeon crawler. Keep up the good work, Derek.
Glad I’m not the only one who remembers those other ones.
I love how delisted makes uncle happy nerd so happy. I wonder if the podcast I'm listening to is monitized
I love how the tyrants are just the Proto Tyrant , CV Tyrant and mutated Mr X. They all showed up! Hey guys!
okay, I'm glad it wasn't just in my head all this time: Claire is canonically a John Woo bullet wizard
This is the kinda stuff I crave from SSFF! Never knew this existed, always a pleasure to discover a title I hadn't heard of!
Another banger Derrick! Keep em comin'!
I actually played the demo of this back on my Samsung Rogue. Controls felt mondo stiff back then. Can't wait for RE4 Mobile! That's one that I always wanted to play but never had access to.
Mondo! Thanks for the flashback haha
2:46 I really appreciate the consistency in including this clip every single time RE4 is mentioned on the channel.
you always make these super in depth videos of games i have never heard about and never would have otherwise...i love this channel so much
I actually have a very fond memory of this game. I got my first iPhone and was obsessed with getting console games on it instead of mobile games such as Bioshock, Devil May Cry, GTA, and COD Zombies. I played this entire game on a trip across the country to visit family. It was a very short game but I remember it being really exciting and fun.
Great series. Quickly becoming one of my favorites on this channel
Steve Blum's sultry Spike Spiegel voice right out of the gate. Uncle Derek always knows how to start a video off.
Great content man ✌🏼 ! You are extremely underrated .
A new Uncle Derek & Grace video... what a fantastic way to wake up in the Morning in the City of Seattle!
You’ve showed up on my home page 3 times and I’ve loved each video I really liked the valve arcade machine one too. you earned this sub can’t wait for more content!
ZEEEEEEBO!
I can't believe you actually mentioned RE4 for the Zeebo.
My sister had a phone with this game on it, I can remember playing it when I was a little kid. I never remembered what it was really called but could just vaguely remember the airport setting and Leon. Thank you for helping me remember this gem of a forgotten memory!
I'd love to see a video on Nintendo's "Art Style" series. A ton of them aren't available anymore, including my favorite, Cubello. They're great little games exploring interesting gameplay concepts, and while they wouldn't make a good video if handled separately, if you made a video covering a bunch of them out would be great.
Great new series. Always love to hear about games that are no longer available.
Love the horror game videos. Keep em coming!
This is super interesting stuff Derek, i am learning more obscure cool video game history from your videos, looking forward to see the RE4 video next! :)
I really forgot this one! thanks a lot Derek!
Awesome video! I remember playing the demo on my sisters old iphone
Great vid...
Thanks to you that i discovered Sweet Home back in your HVGN-days.
great video!! i never knew about the degeneration game - maaaan id absolutely have downloaded this if i had a decent enough phone back then D:
I have very faintly memories of me playing this back on 2010 !
Super cool video as always.
12:15 you know this would have been a perfect cue to summon minimme
I just noticed that the logo is in the PT font! Man, that's some good attention to detail/nod.
I'm loving this new show, this game is truly bizarre.
I remember strangely enjoying resi degeneration (the movie), everything about it screamed AVOID, but I still had fun with it.
Next episode sounds awesome!
So hyped to see you cover the mobile port of RE4. I had it on my iPod Touch back in the day and that was the first way I played RE4.
Finally RE4 on the ipad
been waiting for this
I remember looking at CZcams videos for this game when it first came out and being blown away. I had never seen a truly 3D game on a portable console before!
'Getting Super Nerdy' makes a brief but very welcome return! Seriously I love the comparison breakdowns.
Glad to see you shine light on this game from the depths of obscurity, this was one of my favorite games on my iPod Touch back in the day. Hope you make a video about the other delisted title "Resident Evil: Mercenaries VS" that was also on iOS around the same time.
This is a great review and run down to the Degeneration port. Absolutely a lost gem. Nice to see RE Confidential Report as well, our host is a big fan of it's 4 part storyline!
Y'know... this is a pretty great channel
Well done SSFF team
Man, so cool you're looking at delisted mobile games. I played a lot of games on my iPod Touch back in the day and it's a shame they no longer exist. Not just Degeneration and RE4, iOS also had an exclusive RE5 Mercenaries style game called Mercenaries Vs which was multiplayer focused but could be played with bots featuring 2 maps and 3 characters (with more promised but never added). I kept that one installed all the way up to my iPhone 6s on 9.1 so I could play as Wesker and cobra strike enemies on the go.
Also a version of Mercenaries published by Gree which was a f2p online game that didn't even last a year. A shame, that one had Hunk.
My god, the rabbitholes of the NGage *and* of RE Ports just keep getting deeper... I absolutely appreciate everything you guys do to bring us these videos. (And everything you put yourselves through testing some of them out!)
And I thought I know all Resident Evil games. Thank you for the video and for your hard work Derek.
This is the only channel I put a like on the video even before I watch it ;)
Another killer video. This series is great.
Great video!
I had the Java version, it was right around the time I got into the Resident Evil franchise and I wanted everything Resident Evil after being obsessed over Resi 4.
I'll be honest ... it looks terrible now but I loved it when I was a kid.
nice to see you Derrick!
Derek rocking the RE2 Remake E3 shirt and having that RPD drip I love it
Brilliant as always, SSFF.
I sincerely love the Resident Evil CGI Movies and its such a weird trip to see such a game based on one of those existing. Great job as always!
Hey Derek what’s up! Been a fan since I found out your channel, love all the uncanny stuff you always cover. If you’re looking into those late N-Gage titles that get mostly overlooked (like this one) you should give a try to the Metal Gear Solid one that was exclusive for N-Gage!
Really cool video lol 😎🧟♂️🎮 I’m gonna watch the rest of your videos about this topic now 💯 I first started watching your videos around the time you started your channel but I can’t remember what the name of your channel was back then lol ☯️
Derek you are my favorite Resident Evil 4 youtuber
I can't wait to see you cover Resident evil 4 VR!
Never heard about this, thanks
n-Gage! aw man! I was there, working with EA Mobile and the guys at N-Gage! Forget 'Android' and this 'Apple Music' phone... SYMBIAN - that was the FUTURE! 2008! What a time to be alive! ;) thanks for this great video... N95 was an awesome beast - aw man, having spent most of my gaming career on noughties mobile, I LOVE your channel! thanks dude!
@Lassi Kinnunen 81 oh yes, forgot about that one! to be fair, that period of switchover from feature-phone to smartphone was at least interesting for design: Nokia made a lot of weird phones, and yes the OS got super clunky and slow, but man... so much fun to have.
Duuuuuuuuude I remember playing this on my iPod Touch way back in like 2010-2011, what a throwback
my guy is back again
Yes, love this channel
Wow, I remember playing a demo of this on my old Ipod 2nd gen, way back. This brought back memories I forgot I had. At the time, I had a PSP, and those early IOS games didn't impress me as much as any game on IOS, with one exception, Call of Duty Zombies (the version based off of WAW) was fantastic, and nowadays I'm super impressed with how well it translated to mobile, they even left the easter egg songs in. This was before the plague of microtransactions, and this felt like a complete game, on your phone. I recommend checking it out, even if the graphics look pretty bad nowadays lol
Thanks, Derek!
Wow. Getting a lot of SSFF suddenly.
Amazing.
I wasn’t a fan of the shift to SSFF but it has consistently gotten better until now it’s fantastic.
Late to the party on this video, but I'd love to see you guys cover Chaos Rings. Two or three games delisted in the series if I remember correctly.
Anywho, keep it up Uncle Papa Derek.
Bioshock Mobile when Derek
but seriously great Video
I like the format
Hearing that you will cover the Zeebo version of any game makes me trully happy as I was one of the few Zeebo owners that ever existed
enjoyed the PT like font for DELISTED. Good choice
man... seeing Degerneration stuff on here really makes me wanna see a SSFF Video Game Movie review set >.>; wouldn't even have to be the big things, but like the odd CG movies like RE, or the animated Dead Space and Dante's Inferno stuff that came out that i forgot about until recently ^.^;
i’m glad someone is taking about this lost media
PUMPING out content lately! 💪
Great idea for a new series!
This game was one of my first RE games, part of me want to try this game again
I used to have this game on my iPod back in the day. Super nostalgic
This brought back so many memories. I remember playing this on my iPod touch 2 back in 2010. I was 12 then. Ime 23 now
Great Stuff!
The true magic of RE Degeneration is its utterly hilarious bloopers/outtakes, the editors and VAs had an absolute field day. Please look it up here on CZcams.
You got me good, was not expecting that devastating prank.
I remember playing this as a kid! My dad had it on his phone, some old model LG. It scared me so much as I was somewhere between 7-9 years old. It only had 5 or 10 plays you could use on the free trial before paying for it. I’d play it up until encountering the first zombie, get scared, and turn it off. This video was such a nice piece of nostalgia.
This guy is soooo cool. Epic video
