T10 Changzheng - The Strangest BB I've Played

- Lestas strange Kremlato combination is certainly a ship of all time. Basically unplayable in randoms because of the heal only working if you get secondary hits, but in the new ranked season it's pretty fun. Insanely situational though.

For those unaware of what the ship is. It's, deep breath, Lesta only, not WG, a Yamato hull, with Kremlin turrets, no HE, but AP has improved pen angles. Fast DCP, but limited, no heal, but 40 secondary hits proc an unlimited 12000 hp heal. However, secondaries are only 11km range. Oh and it has a 12km radar. I'm convinced vodka played a huge role in this design, but it's actually pretty fun in Ranked, very feast or famine type of gameplay though.

What on earth is the "Tranclucator" (BB who capped and did little else except celebrate over nothing)?! o.0
Would probably work as a good Arms Race ship with a secondary build.
@@AidanDracole Translucator is an Italian Hybrid BB, basically a Delaware, T9, with sap secondaries, rocket planes and exhaust smoke.
No HE on a battleship is great because the game should "TEACH" player to aim for the weak spot that you can overmatch/wait for the opportunity. Not just spam HE that deal damage regardless of your armor or angle. This might be the reason Asia players are super passive as taking guaranteed 10k on the push without caring on where it hit in one shot is not fun for the one pushing in
@@AidanDracole Tranclucator is a reference to a soviet sci-fi movie Kin-dza-dza. It comes with a special camo. Planes (or more like a single plane) look like "pepelaz" - an "aircraft" from a movie.

@@solidtoto it would be even nastier if they gave her the true 460mm rifles that Yamato has, since that would mean that it would mean that you could nose cit battleships as well. But I guess 32mm overmatch was where they drew the line, not the unlimited heals, fast DCP's, radar, improved ricochet angles, and 11km secondaries lol

Most importantly getting the heal requires playing close and aggressive. Very interesting design actually. Sadly quite useless in the current state of the game where HE spam, subs and cvs make it impossible to push in as a bb
Pretty much the worst ship you could probably take if you're in the SEA server.
This thing would die at its max range unable to farm a single Heal from being bullied by HE spam and CVs.
Isnt it also hard to brawl with your Secs in a Yama hull? I pretty much expect to get cheek clapped left and right
@@nicz7694 the cheek cit is problematic for brawling in Yamato, yeah, but a lot of good captains that have her know when it's best to nose something directly, or bait someone to shoot belt. The main issue with Yamato, when she's put into a brawling situation, is that her secondary suite has trouble dealing any direct damage to anything that isn't a light cruiser, and it's not even universal; some light cruisers can shrug off the secondaries. The bulk of the of her secondary suite is comprised of 127mm turrets and you have to show an uncomfortable amount of broadside to get the second 155mm turret to fire. So you have a large secondary secondary suite on paper, but the actual heavy lifting is done by her secondary suite lighting fires, and the two 155mm turrets, and they don't do much either since the base pen is only 26mm. All this is also ignoring the fact that the secondary suite doesn't have any particular improved dispersion or pen. The only IJN ships that get the improved secondary dispersion and pen are Shikishima, Bungo, Adatara, Iwami, and Kii, and that's only for the 100mm guns and not the others (the irony being that the 100mm rifles actually pens more than the 155s).
3 advantages you didn't mention - heal can heal any damage, 12k always even after torp or citadel, second is pen angle are better and third - secondaries can shoot forward. But still only for ranked and missions

Wait, your secondary guns are indestructible? I see every thunderer hit (something that usually anihilates secondary guns and AA turrets) only "incapacitating" them?
Giving the Chinese a Yamato with secondaries and radar is just the pinnacle of copium.
It's an interesting concept. On a ship with better armor scheme this could be OP. Either way, this is a cool way to incentivize people into speccing secondaries.

Those are actually Kremlin secondary, with GK dispersion but not extra range.

Looking at this ship made me physically ill. Reading what the specific details about this abomination made me lose my lunch.
So it basically Kremlin Yamato with my concept of “Desperate Repair”
My idea is that it is a consumable heal button (not funny button) for all IJN BBs to have it, it basically slow Atago level of heals but able to recover 100% of all damage sources. The concept of IJN having this is more like how IJN use their ships during the war. I mean what could go wrong with a Tier X BB with Weak Heal but able to recover 100% of all damages.
Similar on how current this one is.

Are the guns accurate atleast?
Main guns accuracy is like rus bb kremlin line, closer you to targer - more accurate shot you will have. If you mean secondaries - their accuracy upgraded to german secondaries numbers so changzheng can get numbers of shots for "funny button" heal

It's almost unplayable in Randoms. Before you even get to engage in battle you've been harassed by planes and farmed by 15 kiting HE spammers. The complete inability to heal while not engaged in brawls makes it so punishing. It's fun in Ranked because the heal can keep up with the pressure to some extent, but in randoms the heal is far too weak and too situational.

So...This soviet refit has the 460s being removed and 457s added....That is the most nonsensical thing ever. No navy (regardless of their hypotheticals) would ever do that. Crazy involved refit for such a minor change.

Because they would be ludicrously overpowered. This heal is balanced mainly by Yamato's citadel cheeks.
