I've put a ton of rounds in my RC2 and love the thing to death, but when someone at the range asks me what suppressor they should get my response is always "How much do you want to spend?". EVERYONE thinks they need the new hottest delta CAG drip on their $600 PSA usually topped by a $60 Amazon optic. I have told people to search for a YHM on sale because it is a great can for the $. Had a few listen but most just tell me the Reddit/YT "It flashes to much under NVG"...my brother in Christ, you are rationing ammo, NVG is not in your budget.
I dont think you're understanding what alot of us are getting at with that stuff. You get a can for 2 reasons. Sound reduction and signature reduction. 556 already doesnt suppress that great and weve pretty much squeezed every decibel were gonna get out of the caliber. So that leaves us with flash reduction. If you end up getting a can that is really subpar in that department then its very close to just deadweight at that point. This wouldnt be a problem if these things were like 200 bucks a pop and no nfa bs. But when you are paying hundreds to thousands on a can, plus the 200 dollar tax, plus the 6-12 month wait time for a can that is doing its only 2 jobs required of it extremely poorly. You end up gaining nothing but the realization that its equal to a 10 dollar A2 birdcage flash hider and that would have costed you way less, no wait time, no extra length on the end of the rifle, and that you probably should have just saved a little bit extra and got a can that actually does what its supposed to do in the first place.
Ok but what if I’m a few months from owning NV and want to know what the best flash- reduction-under-nods can is? The answers seem really tough to find and most yt content seems to focus on sound reduction (a silly focus imo). But I am new to this channel and he seems to focus on that, which I’m really appreciating

It is very much a give and take when it comes to suppressors. Owning two of them I get asked a lot of questions when people find out. They all want one that is the best at everything. I always refer to them to pewscience if they are interested in purchasing one. It's fun taking people out to the range to try out my 5.56 can and having them find out it's not hearing safe without ears.
Velos and Reardon had a sweet tone and profile. Be cool to break that set up down and compare to OEM set up for that can. Love to know what specific Reardon muzzle device your using. Great blunt degaf review as always.
I've done some screwing around with direct thread v a brake, and the landrace dragon is noticeably quieterto me than a direct thread. I didn't have a flash hider to test, so I can't say on that. My theory is that the brake acts like extra baffles. Is that true? I have no idea, but it makes sense to me. The whole point is disrupting the flow of air. The dragon definitely does that.

Like yea… people develop cans to work optimally with certain muzzle devices, that’s how gas flow and shit works. I will never understand the negativity. I also own a flow 556k, Sierra 5 that I finally got back and a polo K. Like you, I find myself shooting the shit out of the polo K. Although the flow is fairly new to me and I actually really really like it on my 12.5 specwar. Haven’t run it on anything shorter or longer yet but hoping the rc3 is fun too but mini 2 owns.
Without NV the baby KAC wasn’t bad but then under NV it was just as bad as the surefire cans. With or without NV the Velos seemed to be the least flashy.
I'm no cultured man with access to a dozen cans, but of the few i've fired, i've really been happy with the Surefire SPS300 can with both 300blk and 5.56
Yeah forsure between my two buddies and me we got huxwrx, yhm two Q 30 cal cans a rugged and a surefire sps300 hands down the sps is best on 300 blk. My hux is undoubtedly the worst

Dude… I love a RC2 on the 416 with the vented block. But I also enjoy it with the RC3. My opinion on it is… get the Rc2 and enjoy it It is gassy as fuck but you can fix that by shooting and moving
Have you ever tried a Liberty Precision Anthem S? Mine just got approved with my Polonium and I'm BLOWN AWAY at how incredible the LPM Anthem S does on 5.56 even though it's a 30 cal can. I'd seriously recommend it. After I tried it I bought a secomd one already.

I like it so much I bought the pin/weld Anthem S today and when I heard they launched the S2 Anthems I bought one of those 2 weeks ago. It did great on my 308 ARs (13.9 p/w and 18") - albeit the gas has to be turned way down to get it comfortable going between unsuppressed and suppressed. Bolt action 308? Absolutely mind blowing sound performance. But for me - and the reason I bought 2 more is actually 5.56 performance. It did great on my SBRs, and I found gas settings that were great for both with/without it. But where it shined the most was on the 13.9, 14.5, and 16" ARs. My go-to is a 14.5 build and the sound performance is fantastic, I'm sure it's dB levels are better than the Polonium at the muzzle even and at the ejection port its WAY quieter. But the real thing a lot of people don't mention is the tone. The tone is what makes this can unbeatable so far from what I've tried. Especially at 13.9 and above. The best way I can describe it is it sounds like the low tone 'boom' from a small-medium sized firework that's set off about 100 yards away from you. It's very, very deep and it makes it extremely pleasant. It really sounds like the whole sound of the shot is far in front of you and not at the muzzle at all. I could not recommend this can more - especially if you're on a budget and need something to fit multiple roles. What I haven't had a chance to try yet is the flash hiding end cap. They've been out of stock for months but I really can't wait to get those. The flash suppression is fantastic already but with the flash end cap I don't see how anything will make it out on anything 13.9 and up. The p/w Anthem is going to go on a night vision build - I don't have NV yet but I'm saving for Christmas for myself. Going to do a LMT shovelnose with a 11.5" midgas barrel with the Anthem pin/welded on to avoid the SBR stamp, and the BS red tape that comes with SBRs. If I knew for sure the brace rule was going to be thrown out I'd maybe not do the p/w can but stocks are always better than braces so I'd likely do it regardless. Buy one man, that's all I can say. If you live in Indiana by some crazy chance you're more than welcome to try mine.

That’s what I like about PewScience. None of its really about a can being “quiet”, it’s about hearing damage scale.Super excited to order my CAT WB. If you look at the PewScience data, it has the same backpressure reduction/ ear suppression level as the Velos LBP and FLOW762ti, but it’s still maintaining the muzzle and flash suppression of an RC2.
i have a 11.5 cqb sr15, and looking for a kac can. which one would you pick between the mcq or the crs? my build is going for being as short and light as possible, and its my nvg build for cqb/under100 yards. advice is greatly appreciated.
People acting like they’re all on night operations on a 2-way range. I’d still take the RC3 over the previous versions going forward. Less gas to the face, less filth in the action to choke the rifle, less filth to clean. If you need absolute signature reduction because you’re an assaulter who runs a suppressed SBR but could potentially find yourself in an outdoor night engagement, just run an open tine mount. Oh, and make sure you’re procuring cartridges with flash retardant. If the RC3 doesn’t appeal to you or fit your budget, just get something that does and be happy. Don’t want to pay for the tax stamp? Take advantage of free tax stamp promotions. Not too difficult.

2 mounts for Hux vs 7 for Surefire (4P, 3P, A2, brake, Warcomp, SFCT, CTN). The Hux is optimized for their flash hider, which isn’t really all that great as a standalone muzzle device. The RC3, apparently, is optimized for their open tine flash hiders. Surefire muzzle devices are solid performers on their own IMO.

Great video and info. Whatever you buy, you’re gonna have it forever, so keep that in mind. Also, there will always be another new hawtness on the market. How much mo betta is it and is the juice worth the squeeze? Kinda hard to say. I have a bunch of centerfire cans and my ears have a hard time telling the difference between them when I’m shooting them, except for the short cans being louder. The centerfire can that I prefer to use the most is a AAC Mini-4, so I think I understand why you like the Mini-2 so much.
The frustration with the RC3 muzzle device debacle is that this thing has been out for months now and they're just releasing a statement now. On one hand it looks like they didn't do proper testing, they knew and didn't tell anyone, or they're just full of shit and coming up with some cop out for why their extremely expensive can doesn't perform well

Hey, quick question, You got any recommendations for keeping the locking latch on a 556-SD 51T from yeeting itself out into the desert? I've already had to replace one, and almost lost the second one recently. Also, any recommendations for Lock up? It feels like I can damn near get one last tooth, but never quite. Thing works great so far, took about 6 mags for it to glow on a 12.5DI gun.

I have a Sb2 on my MK18 and I love it. Runs like a sewing machine with a sprinco blue and a H2 or H3.

Would like to know your thoughts on the Rex selentium stuff. I have one for 5.56 and one for 9mm and .300, both MG7K’s. They’re chunky but cheap and are way quieter than I would have expected.

That’s what I like about PewScience. None of its really about a can being “quiet”, it’s about hearing damage scale.Super excited to order my CAT WB. If you look at the PewScience data, it has the same backpressure reduction/ ear suppression level as the Velos LBP and FLOW762ti, but it’s still maintaining the muzzle and flash suppression of an RC2.

i have a 11.5 cqb sr15, and looking for a kac can. which one would you pick between the mcq or the crs? my build is going for being as short and light as possible, and its my nvg build for cqb/under100 yards. advice is greatly appreciated.

I have the same vented prt on a cqb mod 2, yes it’s not quiet, it’s still gassy, but man recoil is completely muted.
I have the CRS PRT and I like it a lot. How loud is the MCQ on a 14.5? Is it Hux flow 556k loud?

People acting like they’re all on night operations on a 2-way range. I’d still take the RC3 over the previous versions going forward. Less gas to the face, less filth in the action to choke the rifle, less filth to clean. If you need absolute signature reduction because you’re an assaulter who runs a suppressed SBR but could potentially find yourself in an outdoor night engagement, just run an open tine mount. Oh, and make sure you’re procuring cartridges with flash retardant. If the RC3 doesn’t appeal to you or fit your budget, just get something that does and be happy. Don’t want to pay for the tax stamp? Take advantage of free tax stamp promotions. Not too difficult.

I don't understand this comment.....You have to use a surefire muzzle device for a surefire can just like HUX....Yes there are 3-options with surefire (hider, brake, war-comp)....BUT.....HUX has a flash-hider and comp......so the problem is 2 devices vs. 3 ????? seems like folks are trying to justify their preferences.....just say you like surefire better.....no need to harp on another with inaccurate info.....lets just spread facts, not misinformation.....and I'm not a HUX fan, I just like receiving accurate info. 2 mounts for Hux vs 7 for Surefire (4P, 3P, A2, brake, Warcomp, SFCT, CTN). The Hux is optimized for their flash hider, which isn’t really all that great as a standalone muzzle device. The RC3, apparently, is optimized for their open tine flash hiders. Surefire muzzle devices are solid performers on their own IMO.

How much mo betta is it and is the juice worth the squeeze? Kinda hard to say. I have a bunch of centerfire cans and my ears have a hard time telling the difference between them when I’m shooting them, except for the short cans being louder. The centerfire can that I prefer to use the most is a AAC Mini-4, so I think I understand why you like the Mini-2 so much.

The frustration with the RC3 muzzle device debacle is that this thing has been out for months now and they're just releasing a statement now. On one hand it looks like they didn't do proper testing, they knew and didn't tell anyone, or they're just full of shit and coming up with some cop out for why their extremely expensive can doesn't perform well

Hey, quick question, You got any recommendations for keeping the locking latch on a 556-SD 51T from yeeting itself out into the desert? I've already had to replace one, and almost lost the second one recently. Also, any recommendations for Lock up? It feels like I can damn near get one last tooth, but never quite. Thing works great so far, took about 6 mags for it to glow on a 12.5DI gun.
