Yep the biggest take away I got from this was seeing the low back pressure and smooth cycling on the velos. All other cans were well demonstrated about as good as you can get on a CZcams video haha. But yeah if you really want to see what they sound like and how they compare you’re gonna have to shoot em. If you don’t have that kind of access then pew science is pretty much the only resource that accurately compares them on paper. Like you said it’s 556 don’t expect anything to sound particularly good. If you want quiet shoot 300 blk subs

I know tru headphones is not the same but the can packs a punch and it looks that it doesnt have that "ting" sound but rather a thrust punchy sound. Wich makes it bareable to hear at that size.
I bought YHM TURBO K because its what I could afford at that time . Turns out it's a pretty legit Can for the money . I'm actually glad I didnt spend double the price on something else . I've been super interested in the Otter Creek K Can . Looks pretty bad ass
Yeah the the Turbo K is slept on by the IG operators. Mine lives on a 11.5 and it's a joy to shoot. Have a Polonium K and Hux K in process and stoked to get the Polonium. Both will be on separate host permanently

My Turbo K has permanent home on my 13.9" Rig . I run it with DA428 ADAPTER and Nox Keymo 6 Port HYBRID F.H.. I also run BRT 0.73 Tuned Gas Tube , Springco Blue with Colt H2 . It runs perfectly with or without the Turbo K but it stays suppressed 90% of the time . I was taking a hard look at the YHM FAT CAT because I love short fat Cans but I more than likely end up getting Polo K . I also run 6mm ARC and yeah the Turbo K works perfectly fine with 6ARC but I need to get something that actually says it works with 6mm . Pretty much all my go too rigs have Nox Keymo 6 port or 9 port HYBRID F.H. so I'm sticking with Keymo and will have to get another DA428 ADAPTER.. I've shot over 30 2Gun Matches and couple PRS Gas Gub Matches with Turbo K . Surely it isn't the best but I paid 550ish with stamp for that Can . Dude, same boat. Love my mod9, really wanted a Sierra 5 buuut yeah all the bad reviews has me leaning toward the Helios now. Hard to pick tho because I don’t want to buy something else and then the company comes out with a fix or something entirely better
What no one seems to say unless you read between the lines is that no 5.56 can out there is actually quiet. So if you are chasing Hollywood quiet, you need to look at a different round. Once that painful fact of physics is out of the way-ok, you go buy that subsonic 5.56-you can then get back to what matters to you. It’s really important to me that I am not eating toxic gas. So I want an AGB and/or a can that has lower blow back. The AGB helps with both backpressure and blowback, but if you already have a host that you don’t want to modify, it’s nice to have a Velos, Flow, or *waiting eagerly* a White Bread. After that, mounting is a big factor. If you have one rifle because you believe in mastery of one, flexibility might not be important. Rearden is great for offering muzzle device variety that works with an easily interchangeable system. It’s lightweight, hard to screw up, and stays tight. It’s also a lot less expensive than these RC2, Huxwrx, and CGI proprietary muzzle devices.
I have a huxwurx flow 556k in jail right now but ill come out and say it. I really like my saker 556k. It’s a great traditional style k can and is a ton of bang for your buck

The only thing I tell people regardless of what can they want or might get is to be sure you have mounting flexibility or know you're investing into something that won't change anytime soon. I got burned and have my SDN6 comeback from the ATF right as AAC was clearing house and only had one gun I could mount it on. Overlooking the issues with 51t as a system that entire event has stuck with me since. It's also been rectified by ecco machine and now I shoot it with Surefire SOCOM mounts but having a can have to stay in the safe for basically two years kinda sucks. AAC is also back and making mounts again so it was an exercise in futility and patience but it stuck with me. If I buy anything now it's coming with some sort of mounting system that's basically DOD approved (KAC, Surefire) or is 1-3/8x24 compatible
Don’t forget that everyone is pretty much moving toward a hub.. meaning you can change your back end to a few different mounts like with what ecco does.
@@fortknoxpodcast that is also true, you'd be hard pressed to find almost any current production can other than a Surefire or Knight's that isn't hub compatible. Even the new AAC Ranger cans are hub compatible.

I shoot it on an 11.5 geissele URGI so I already had the mount. I think it sounds really good on there and with nothing to compare it to it seems gassed well

I have a CGS Mod 9, I didn’t know there was any internet lore surrounding CGS. Who are they affiliated with? As a side note, I’ve been shooting a Saker 762 since they came out and I absolutely love that can. I bought a dedicated Saker 556 ASR also but I haven’t even shot it yet. The Velos released a week after my Saker 556 stamp came in.
It's not a shit can, you just need to be sure it on snug. I have several 5.56 guns with cans dedicated to them. In those cases I used to use just a little blue locate. Now I prefer the VibraTite VC-3. Apply to both parts, let the solvents off gas for about 15 minutes and screw it on. The can will stay snug even if you go full auto for a mag or two.
I bought my first three cans all from Rugged and I’m happy with them, but I decided to venture out. First time, three cans on the first go around. Obsidian 9 Micro 30 Alaskan 360 Currently waiting on three more cans for the second go around. YHM R45 HX-QD 556 Polonium (full size) Once I get those, I’ll do another 3. Went with dedicated 556 the second time to keep the bigger bore cans for some other projects I have in the future. For 556, go dedicated. From one consumer to another. FKP is right on this one.

I'm thinking about getting my first can. Just started looking into them a couple months ago so I dont have much knowledge on them. But was thinking about getting the Polo K. And have been hearing alot about rearden so I'd probably go with that. Question...Does the can just screw on hand tight on a rearden and then it's good to go? It wouldn't back off? I think that for most people’s applications, there’s no such thing as a “bad” suppressor. People get way to into the weeds with some of this shit. Lets be realistic, most people are shooting 16” ar15s or ar10s for 500 rounds/year and don’t need a “premium can.” Literally 90% of the cans on the market will cover 90% of users needs.

I wanted to get the RC2. After shooting it multiple times on an SBR I found I kept getting gassed out. Switched to looking at HUX but the maintenance schedule is too much. Finally landed on the Velos because the mixture of flow and durability. Can’t find many reviews on it. I know you mentioned you have been using it a lot. Would you recommend it for a heavy use 556 SBR over the others mentioned? My biggest concern was size and weight of it. Looks chunky.
It’s my primary can right now. It kinda chubby but can lose some OAL and weight with a rearden. I know… adding cost to something that alredy expensive. That’s how I run it and has been awesome.

I own the velos and I’d say it’s the toughest 5.56 can on the market, I tried it on my 5” upper and after 60 rounds of rapid fire it was glowing (1000+ Fahrenheit) and it was perfectly fine after, even the finish looks like new lol, it’s also ~137 decibels (16”) either way it has a good tone. Only downsides are it’s long and heavy but having 80%+ less blowback is worth it
@@Marco4Mayor I have an omega 300 I use for 300 blk and it used to be my go-to 5.56 can so all my 7 uppers have the asr muzzle devices with loc-tite. Sooo yea, I use it with the ASR mount. The rearden atlas Charlie mount is about 35% shorter, a little lighter and is a simple one handed screw on, vs SiCo’s multi-step mount. ASR works fine in terms of function(if used properly) but is not as simple as others I also prefer to use ASR because I can switch between SiCo’s bravo and Charlie mounts without thinking about it. If I got the rearden atlas Charlie mount it wouldn’t work with my omega (bravo) I work for a distributor for SiCo so all their cans and attachments are discounted for me so I am a little biased lol. So if you stick with silencerco use asr, if you have different brand cans I’d say rearden is better for versatility

I'm completely new to the idea and use of suppressors I don't have one yet, I'm in the process of getting my very first AR-15 Diamondback in 5.56 and looking at getting a suppressor in the future, I'm interested in the Velos. Can you tell me what's the difference between the Velos and the Velos K that ive heard you mention?
The velos is the full size version. K is the compact version. In certain situations you would want a shorter can for whatever application you are choosing to do with your gun. For you… I would suggest a full size for your first can. You will get more out of it for the money.
At the end of the day they’re just really expensive mufflers. Some are good. Some are shit. Most are pretty similar. Hype is both contagious and retarded. Unfortunately, the price + wait time is to blame for the amount of opinion, brand loyalty and cope in the suppressor market. That, and I blame Redditards.

Hello there, I just recently found your channel when looking at choosing between dead air sierra 5 or silencerco velos LBP on my 13.7 in ar with a short stroke piston and I don't know much about the rearden mount or anything about it, like why you like it etc. Can you explain or do a video about it? I'm curious to know. Nd my 13.7 has the solgw nox muzzle device
With the reardens - would you trust them as much if you didn't rocksett them into the cans like you told me you do on another video? I really want to switch some of my mounts to theirs but i have a few p/w builds with keymo MDs and don't want to have to swap those right now. I have 4 cans on the way right now and I just got a 556k flow (just bought so long wait) that I plan on running on my main squeeze - but I just don't know if i want to jump completely into the rearden if I'll have to rocksett the end caps.
I've been using Rearden for months, after I learned about it on this channel. They work well and I've had zero cans work themselves lose, and zero mounts come off with the can. I rocksett all of the flash hiders I am using and switched most of my rifles over to Rearden from ASR. I still have ASR on a few guns as it only takes a few seconds to swap the mounts out. I probably should just buy another Saker (K probably?) so I can have one ASR and the other Rearden. The weight isn't that dramatic, but it does make the can a bit shorter. I'm a fan.
Can anyone tell me what to expect between a newer “flow through” Huxwrx, LBP, etc without an adjustable gas block compared to an “old school” can with adjustable gas block?? I’m shooting a 556 SBR with a Griffin 6.5 explorr and Omega 30 and it’s not fun. Will a new flo though can solve the problem or will I still want an adjustable gas block. If I get the gas block changed, will I still want a new flo through to eliminate the gas? Also, I heavily invested and very happy with Griffin muzzle devices. Can anyone tell me how the gas blowback with a newer Griffin can compares to a new Turbo, Huxwrx or Velos? BTW- the gas block will get changed no matter what at some point but a sale on a new can will probably come along before I can figure out how to get the old gas block off. All opinions are appreciated
Probably not much help but I have a HRT on a PWS MK116 (piston gun) and the new style baffles are better to me on gas and the thing sounds great. I got it back in Aug and just shot it the other day on a back up pig rifle and thought why the F didn't I shot this thing sooner. I'm gonna get another Griffin can this month, maybe a M4SD2 or the Dual lok 5. I have a T3 on a my daughters rifle and it great bang for the buck but I think the HRT is less gassy and has a better tone. I have few Dead Air, Sico, Surefire and YHM cans but I'm really diggin the Griffin stuff and Dual lok mount. Good luck!

Otter creek labs makes some fantastic cans! In my experience the full size polonium sounds amazing but is gassy.

Yeah Sierra 5 has had a troubled existence. I would recommend otter creek, CAT, kac, surefire, huxwrx, sico

Its a good can. Its the industry standard and essentially kind of like the Glock of the can world.

As a side note, I’ve been shooting a Saker 762 since they came out and I absolutely love that can. I bought a dedicated Saker 556 ASR also but I haven’t even shot it yet. The Velos released a week after my Saker 556 stamp came in.

It's not a shit can, you just need to be sure it on snug. I have several 5.56 guns with cans dedicated to them. In those cases I used to use just a little blue locate. Now I prefer the VibraTite VC-3. Apply to both parts, let the solvents off gas for about 15 minutes and screw it on. The can will stay snug even if you go full auto for a mag or two.

I'm thinking about getting my first can. Just started looking into them a couple months ago so I dont have much knowledge on them. But was thinking about getting the Polo K. And have been hearing alot about rearden so I'd probably go with that. Question...Does the can just screw on hand tight on a rearden and then it's good to go? It wouldn't back off? Forgive me if those are stupid questions, just trying to learn. Thanks

Hey Corey I don’t recall you going over why you like the Rearden mounts so much in any previous videos or posts. Is it just that they’re light weight? Maybe worth making a Shorts video talking about them
Can’t speak to his POV, but the Rearden is solid, light, and cuts down on length over a lot of the QD options (ASR, Keymo)
I think that for most people’s applications, there’s no such thing as a “bad” suppressor. People get way to into the weeds with some of this shit. Lets be realistic, most people are shooting 16” ar15s or ar10s for 500 rounds/year and don’t need a “premium can.” Literally 90% of the cans on the market will cover 90% of users needs.

I wanted to get the RC2. After shooting it multiple times on an SBR I found I kept getting gassed out. Switched to looking at HUX but the maintenance schedule is too much. Finally landed on the Velos because the mixture of flow and durability. Can’t find many reviews on it. I know you mentioned you have been using it a lot.
Would you recommend it for a heavy use 556 SBR over the others mentioned? My biggest concern was size and weight of it. Looks chunky.
It’s my primary can right now. It kinda chubby but can lose some OAL and weight with a rearden. I know… adding cost to something that alredy expensive.

I own the velos and I’d say it’s the toughest 5.56 can on the market, I tried it on my 5” upper and after 60 rounds of rapid fire it was glowing (1000+ Fahrenheit) and it was perfectly fine after, even the finish looks like new lol, it’s also ~137 decibels (16”) either way it has a good tone. Only downsides are it’s long and heavy but having 80%+ less blowback is worth it

@@Marco4Mayor I have an omega 300 I use for 300 blk and it used to be my go-to 5.56 can so all my 7 uppers have the asr muzzle devices with loc-tite.
Sooo yea, I use it with the ASR mount. The rearden atlas Charlie mount is about 35% shorter, a little lighter and is a simple one handed screw on, vs SiCo’s multi-step mount. ASR works fine in terms of function(if used properly) but is not as simple as others
I also prefer to use ASR because I can switch between SiCo’s bravo and Charlie mounts without thinking about it. If I got the rearden atlas Charlie mount it wouldn’t work with my omega (bravo) I work for a distributor for SiCo so all their cans and attachments are discounted for me so I am a little biased lol. So if you stick with silencerco use asr, if you have different brand cans I’d say rearden is better for versatility

@@GuacIsExtra99 I did. Its still in jail but I did play with it at the gunship range and it is pretty sweet. I almost wished I would have held off for the rc3 though. The polo is 100% still the best can for the $ on my opinion.

I'm completely new to the idea and use of suppressors I don't have one yet, I'm in the process of getting my very first AR-15 Diamondback in 5.56 and looking at getting a suppressor in the future, I'm interested in the Velos. Can you tell me what's the difference between the Velos and the Velos K that ive heard you mention?
The velos is the full size version. K is the compact version. In certain situations you would want a shorter can for whatever application you are choosing to do with your gun. For you… I would suggest a full size for your first can. You will get more out of it for the money.

I really want to switch some of my mounts to theirs but i have a few p/w builds with keymo MDs and don't want to have to swap those right now.
I have 4 cans on the way right now and I just got a 556k flow (just bought so long wait) that I plan on running on my main squeeze - but I just don't know if i want to jump completely into the rearden if I'll have to rocksett the end caps.
I've been using Rearden for months, after I learned about it on this channel. They work well and I've had zero cans work themselves lose, and zero mounts come off with the can. I rocksett all of the flash hiders I am using and switched most of my rifles over to Rearden from ASR. I still have ASR on a few guns as it only takes a few seconds to swap the mounts out. I probably should just buy another Saker (K probably?) so I can have one ASR and the other Rearden. The weight isn't that dramatic, but it does make the can a bit shorter. I'm a fan.

@@DDadams0 No, just the muzzle device to the barrel. I tightened the Atlas into the can and it hasn't moved so far after a few hundred rounds.
Can anyone tell me what to expect between a newer “flow through” Huxwrx, LBP, etc without an adjustable gas block compared to an “old school” can with adjustable gas block?? I’m shooting a 556 SBR with a Griffin 6.5 explorr and Omega 30 and it’s not fun. Will a new flo though can solve the problem or will I still want an adjustable gas block. If I get the gas block changed, will I still want a new flo through to eliminate the gas? Also, I heavily invested and very happy with Griffin muzzle devices. Can anyone tell me how the gas blowback with a newer Griffin can compares to a new Turbo, Huxwrx or Velos? BTW- the gas block will get changed no matter what at some point but a sale on a new can will probably come along before I can figure out how to get the old gas block off. All opinions are appreciated
Probably not much help but I have a HRT on a PWS MK116 (piston gun) and the new style baffles are better to me on gas and the thing sounds great. I got it back in Aug and just shot it the other day on a back up pig rifle and thought why the F didn't I shot this thing sooner. I'm gonna get another Griffin can this month, maybe a M4SD2 or the Dual lok 5. I have a T3 on a my daughters rifle and it great bang for the buck but I think the HRT is less gassy and has a better tone. I have few Dead Air, Sico, Surefire and YHM cans but I'm really diggin the Griffin stuff and Dual lok mount. Good luck!
