My tip is to book the lessons close to each other and also do the test shortly after, that way you are in a flow and wont forget as much. I found it crucial, that I got along with my driving instructor and felt comfortable and encouraged during the lessons…made me feel confident for the test!
Youve grown so much honestly, driving lessons seem wya more scary than they are. the more u stress the worst it gets as usual, but honestly i know even under stress you can do this. do this for yourself, so u can go places on your own. do this because u want to and need to, its nothing u should be scared of u got this mia
Don't rush the drivers license. I would recommend driving as much as you can with Darren. In sweden it's very common to drive with your parents for a while and then jump to driving lessons when you feel more comfortable. I did that and it went great. I drive with my mom and dad on and off for a few years before I felt comfortable enough. I was 24 when I took my license. My best tip is keep driving and driving, don't stop or take too long pauses. You'll make it🙌💖
In US You take drivers Ed at 14 1/2. This is in a public school setting. It’s free. Get a drivers permit at 15. With that you can drive with a paren or other licensed driver. At 16 you get provisional license. You are allowed to drive up to 9:00 pm. Unless coming from a job. After a year you are granted a full license

I highly recommend that you get back into driving lessons if you really want to learn how to drive. I gave up and kind of wished I'd stuck with it all those years ago. Don't give up, you can do it 💪 maybe look at those intense crash courses where you learn in a week or so😎

Hey Mia I’m 21 and I got my license a couple months ago. I was always so scared to take the test but let me give you two pieces of advice you already took the test once so you have an experience/ knowledge that you didn’t have before and secondly failing a driving test depends on your testers likes/ dislikes and honesty their mood so just remember you can’t control everything. Just do your best and try not to stress the things you can control 😁
Apparently rescue remedy is great for nerves, and also it's really hard to pass tests in London because they are much stricter, so definitely book your test somewhere else! Good luck Mia you can do this!
I passed my theory and practical both 1st time and the thing that helped me the most was to Imagine yourself driving alone or with your siblings in the car because it makes you more aware of things and you aren’t so distracted on what the examiner is doing!

2 months ago I finally passed mine and I was a bit nervous🙈.
(In advance I did mine in Germany so I don’t know it all the things are equal in England)
My mom gave me some calming plant medicaments - idk if they really work but I had the feeling that they did (maybe comparable to when you blow on a little wound that a child has). I tried not to overthink or not to think at all about it 2 days before the exam. The morning on my test I had my last driving lesson with my driving teacher (who was so nice and explained things with patience). We went through all the important stuff. Ask when you’re not sure about something !
I also got told that you can ask the directions if you haven’t heard them the first time - so be chill about that.
One tip he gave me: think before you do it. And most times when you need to really ask yourself “is this a good idea?” It probably isn’t.
My tip: be confident in what you do (then the others will believe you 😂)
Try to calm your nerves so you can think clearly and don’t make decisions out of despair
The first minutes of the test I was a bit nervous but as the minutes passed by I got calmer and calmer. Try to slow down your thoughts and don’t think about “what if….” Be in the moment and concentrate on the things you do.

Mia, you can achieve everything if you put your mind to it!!❤ It may seem scary, but the more you do it the more it gets easier and in the end it will feel like riding a bike! I think you totally could do manual (just because it didn‘t work out the first time, doesn‘t mean you are inable to do it…sometimes you just need some more time to learn. Thats life) but if definitly are able to learn automatic!! There is nothing wrong to need some more time to learn!!!!❤

Mia don’t worry about driving , especially whilst you live in london, it’s amazing to drive but it really isn’t a necessity , I was so desperate to drive and when I finally passed I did one year of driving and decided it wasn’t for me, I live in manchester so walking to places isn’t far and transport is good. I honestly think the idea is better than actually driving , so many drivers are dangerous and it can be scary sometimes especially as young girls like ourselves.

Honestly, I didn't start to learn to be really good at driving until I drove my own car. My instructors car was so hard to drive, i thought it was me but honestly it was the car. If you can get your own car first, I'd really try that and practice in your own car with Darren if he is able to help x It will make you feel more comfortable and you'll be less likely to make mistakes from being anxious x been driving 5 years now and its just second nature x
I recently passed my driving test! My tip for anyone out there is to think of your test as a regular driving test! After stalling in the first minute of the test, I thought I had failed, but I just forgot it was a test and continued on as if it was a normal driving lesson - it made me feel more confident during the test. Also, keep looking around your surroundings. The examiner wants to know you're a safe driver than anything else. Having a calm and friendly examiner does help reassure you too. Good luck Mia x

Great vlog. You've got a lovely fasion sense. Beautiful clothes. Please dont give up on the driving. My daughter when learning was a great little driver but when it came to test day her nerves completely took over but she persevered and eventually passed. Just believe in yourself xx
In my country just around 20% pass the first time their driving test, so it’s totally normal to retake it. There are many people who take the test like 4 or 5, sometime even more times. So definitely don’t me discouraged for not passing it the first time! Actually, people like to say that second time passers are better drives:))

Love ur style 😍 also yes u should definitely start driving lessons again its such an amazing skill to have and it also allows u more freedom as u won't need to worry abt missing a train or bus when u need to go somewhere, I am currently doing lessons and learning to drive rn and one tip I would say has been really helping me is not only am I doing lessons with an instructor but I am also getting lessons with my dad so I am getting more experience everyday and more confidence as I am driving almost everyday in the week. Driving can be a nerve-wracking experience and when u do fail it can't be demotivating but dnt let that put u down to get better at something u have to keep trying and u will get there ur such a kind, inspirational and amazing person Mia ik for definite if u try again with driving u will be able to pass the more practice the better 🙌 I reccomend either u could drive ur parents car (insured obvs) or get ur own car now and taking lessons with Darren as u need someone with more than 3+ yrs on their licence and try go out and drive everyday and once a week have a lesson with an instructor so they will help u get more ready for the test but ur also be gaining more driving experiences by urself (well kinda by urself) Hope this helps u Mia u got this we all believe in u

100% you should learn to drive again in an automatic car! I started in a manual and didn’t get on with it so switched to automatic and I passed so quickly, it’s soooo much easier and obviously manual cars are being phased out too ❤
I am also in middle of learning how to drive, my tip is to keep on practicing! Every time I go out I ask my mom if i can drive. I do make many bad mistakes but practice makes perfect.
Learning to drive. Things to bear in mind.
* Everybody gets more fluent as a driver the more they drive - get the basics right first and then keep using the basics until they become second nature.
* I still talk to myself when making particular manoeuvres and it also helps with maintaining observation if you can keep up a commentary about what is happening as you drive - any potential hazards, does the car feel or sound slightly off (ie is something going wrong)? This is good practice when taking your test as well - the tester will appreciate that you are following correct procedures and really paying attention.
* When taking your test, if you are concentrating on following procedure, you will have less time to be nervous. You might get to the end before you realize.
* Take time to 'decompress' after every lesson - and after your test. There is no need to get stressed or work yourself into a state. I even had somebody else drive me home after my test, even though I'd just passed.
* Practice on a variety of roads - some people learn in one kind of environment (I learned on lightly-used roads mostly) and then go to pieces when put in an unfamiliar situation (I hate city driving, for instance - it's more stressful - but I learned to adapt my mental frame to handle it).
* If you are young, DON'T THINK YOU ARE INVINCIBLE. I always considered myself as a steady driver, but I still made mistakes and I have scars to remember them by. Speed itself is not dangerous, but speed AWARENESS can be affected if you spend a long time at relatively high speed on a good road (eg motorway) and then need to slow down on minor roads. A good tip is - if you think you aren't going too fast, make yourself slow down slightly anyway.
* Lastly - you never stop learning, even long after you pass your test. The test is about procedure - the real learning comes afterwards.

It helped so much and what I learnt I’d speak to my driving instructor about. I find soon as you learn something you need to tell someone it out loud, it’s truly the best way to retain the information.
Another thing I did was use google maps and look at the routes I knew I’d drive or destinations where people regularly fail. I’d use the map to understand the lanes, road signs and speed limits! Really helped! 🌼🌸

You could ask your driving instructor if you can record your lessons for personal use. Then you can look at where you doing well and where you need to improve/ points to remember
If you get your license you will find more independence. You could go anywhere at any time. You got this!!! Good luck
