Wild Wicklow: Autumn in the Garden of Ireland

- County Wicklow in autumn is utterly beguiling. The deciduous woodlands are thickly carpeted with brilliantly coloured leaf litter and overhead, the unfallen leaves flame red, orange and yellow. Deer rut on the vast swathes of empty moorland and bright red berries abound on rowan trees dotting the mountainsides clothed in the russet shades of the season.
Filmed in 4k video and featuring stunning timelapse sequences and drone footage, we think this short film depicts just why Wicklow is dubbed The Garden of Ireland.
Places featured include Glendalough, Lough Tay, Powerscourt, Devil's Glen, Glenmacnass, Cloughlea and the Vale of Clara.
Wicklow is absolutely beautiful!
I'm up in the north of ireland and have only ever saw Wicklow by drone etc thus far:one place i do hope to visit!❤
Excellent videography/timelapse - beautifully paced and panned.

Sublime.
Thanks, it took several visits to get good shots and especially not too windy weather for flying the drone.
another fantastic video well done to you both
Thanks! It sure was bitterly cold getting up before dawn on several mornings to drive into the mountains to try and get good footage of the dawn!
Superb (as usual).
Thanks, John. Glad you enjoyed it.

The autumn colours were especially vivid this year. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for your kind comments.
nice video
Thanks!
Hi Martin, another spectacular film of this amazing place. Inspiring as ever! I love the way the river snakes into the loch at 1.16 and what about the road snaking past the waterfall? Awesome visual! No wonder the the stags love it. Wicklow certainly is a wonder. Hope you and Sharron are well. All the best there. Mark.
Wye Explorer thanks the lake is lough Tay (owned by the Guinness brewing family). The waterfall and road is in Glenmacnass
martin critchley Cheers....a real joy. MARK!
Another stunning journey. Thank you for brightening my day!
Thanks for your kind words! Glad you enjoyed the film.
Brilliant stuff. Seems to been great this year for Autumn colour, and you've captured it perfectly.
Thanks, Adrian. Yes, it's certainly been one of the best autumns for years, coupled with enough settled weather to shoot some decent timelapses and fly the drone! Now for winter. We have another timelapse film to complete from elsewhere in Ireland. Stay tuned!
I'm trying to work out the shots and cinematography in the this production, it truly is a wonder you have created here (I'll try not to be to sycophantic lol ) thumbs up Martin for a superb video. Chris
Thanks, Chris. We really enjoyed making this film as the conditions were near perfect for timelapse and for flying the drone. The autumn colours were pretty spectacular this year. Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for your very kind comments.
A truly beautiful production...I love the footage of the stag!!! Hope to see a film in the Dublin Mountains one day...10/10
Glad you liked our latest film. Yes, the stags are fabulous, these two were filmed near Van Diemen's Land Mine in Glendalough. In the fall it's often possible to get quite close to them as they seem to lose their usual inhibitions. Hope to make a Dublin Mountains video in the future!
hi there, great video shots. I'm trying to put a youtube video together for an Irish song, and would love to use some of your drone shots. Would you be OK with that. I would mention your name/youtube channel both in the video & the description of course.
