Every religion has to evolve with time, what was just and fair many centuries back may not be relevant in the current times. This is applicable to the followers of all faith. Sanathana Dharma is no exception. Sadly in the name of vote bank politics these issues are raked up and kept burning. Have we not forgotten and moved on in spite of looting by various invaders and plunderers belonging to a particular religion..do we still hold grudge with all the countries which colonised and destroyed our culture,why just this selective discrimination against Brahmins? Why are the present Brahmins being targetted for what happened in the past..very primitive mindset..move on.. stop bashing anyone and everyone.

A dangerous trend which is emerging is the followers of Sanatana Dharma are now being bracketed into just Brahmins & and a few so called upper castes.. Dalits, Muslims and Dalit Christians are wooed as potential group for votes and power.. isn't it worst than the policy of Divide and Rule by the British. An overzealous politician from TN went to the extent of "genocide" of Brahmins and no one seems to have taken cognisance of such hate comment.

The TN politicians have taken a page out of the play book of their British masters and divided us into two groups- Brahmins and all others. The weakest links in our democracy - the ones not thinking through this issue - simply believed the politicians and gave them the power. With Hindu voices raising, I’m hopeful that there will be sea change in the next 10 years and with that some of the caste based hatred the politicians have sewn will disappear!
