I didn't know people used claw clips specifically for the look (they're cute but I never really thought about it), I just wear them because I'm lazy and they're convenient, and also because they don't pull on my hair like an elastic does

The lower bun was too big and heavy, and the top part ended up flopping over. It's also really heavy and it pulls too much so I can't imagine it lasting very long :(

i think she means like a wishbone. like if u think the top is the hair tie loop it through there, then pull it tight so it’s a circle again. hope that helps !!

Remember to take your clips out in the car y’all, my mom has had to remove more from people’s skulls after car crashes than she can count. She’s been an ER nurse for 20 years and there’s at least one story a week of having to remove the broken off clip teeth or even the full clip

That's a good idea.. My hair looks lifeless when I try bands so just used thin line strong clawclip sideways it's got the best grip and doesn't mess too much with headrest 👍
I just use a flat hair clip i can achieve the same thing, but since its flat it doesn't cause issues .... to make to work/look similar as a claw clip it goes in higher near the top where you want the hair to fall over to cover the clip....wont cause issues in couches ect that way too. if i tried the 3 hair tie method your showing it would tangle up in my curly hair in no time.
