Look and sound is very realistic ! Snow packs down when walking on it and sounds just like that and usually the top layer freezes so the moon light would reflect off the top so its pretty spot on. Thank you for the asmr you are amazing 👏 ❤ 💕 ✨ 💖

@@Ghormac Yeah, the missions wouldn’t be calm, she could just turn on subtitles & keep the sound low. Whisper over it, etc. I’d find that very calm.

A few things... I'm near the end of my first playthrough of Valhalla and I can personally vouch for the realistic sounds the snow provides. Both the freshly fallen "soft" snow that packs as you walk in it, as well as the glossy almost ice like snow in the Norway missions. A big fan of the visuals and sounds this series provides. And before this video puts me to sleep, that gladiator movie you were talking about is...well... Gladiator. Lol. Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix. Great movie and you are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! LOL.Never noticed the hands through the crops thing until you said it. But it is definitely like the dream/death sequences where he remembers his home in Spain and runs his fingers through the plants. Great reference!
Red dead redemptions snow is the best I’ve seen and heard in my opinion. But I’d say it’s pretty realistic in Valhalla
The thing about snow is that it insulates you from other sounds, so the sounds of your footsteps seem so loud. These are accurate sounds for sure, but there's a deafening silence to snow that is difficult to explain.
honestly this is the most accurate snow i’ve seen in a video game, the only thing is the way he walks would take a lot of effort to wade through the snow like that hahahahah
AC3 actually has even more accurate snow physics. The character even has a number of unique walk/run cycles depending on how deep the snow is.
Snow where I live can be pretty crappy, it usually freezes for a few days then snows so you're walking on snow that could be covering a sheet of ice. The amount of times I've been buckled by it 😂 we had snow that came from siberia and it was so beautiful! So much softer and fluffier than the other stuff. That kinda soft snow is the best 🥰

snow tends to dampen everything sound wise. it’s real quiet and the wind seems so much louder. it’s real cool :)
These sounds are tickling the inside of my brain and I love it. The view outside my window this very moment is pretty similar to the surroundings in this game! Snowy, moonlit, pine trees.. good night and merry christmas!🥰
As a Finn, I can say Red Dead Redemption 2 has the best snow I've seen in a video game. In AC Valhalla it's fine, it's just too glossy on the surface which makes it look plastic-y

For me the most realistic snow would probably be Red Dead 2. That game is just beautiful to look at! 😍

Nice video, Jubilee! To answer your question about the most realistic snow I’ve seen in video games, it would have to be Assassin’s Creed 3’s snow in the Frontier. The tracks that your character/horse leaves aren’t just uniform, they’re very dependent on the depth of the snow in question, whether your character is walking or running, etc., and it even tracks it accurately down to each specific footstep your character makes. Your character has tons of unique walking and running animations for different depths of snow, as well. These animations are designed to slow down your character’s movement significantly to encourage you to climb up into the trees and use parkour. A video where you mix some walking through snow sounds and some tree parkour sounds in AC3 would be awesome!
STEEP is a snow based game and is amazing highly recommend 💯%

These atmospheric open world games are so suitable for asmr videos. So glad you keep making them! I have a feeling red dead 2 will be here soon lol.

I’d say this is semi realistic. He’d have a much harder time walking through the drifts, snow is just water in a different form (you knew that, haha) so it’s heavy. The sounds are fine. Except when he’s walking on what looks like icy rocks, it sounds like digging dirt blocks in Minecraft lol. I think Red Dead 2 has more realistic snow
It’s pretty accurate. The reflections are in fairly accurate in some situations usually after a short mild melt and then wind. You’ll usually get that sheen. Valhalla does the best job I’ve seen in games. I’m in eastern Canada so we get a massive amount of snow here.
okay first off these mics are amazing for asmr. like wow. but also the snow is pretty accurate. seems hes like wading thru the snow for some reason? usually youd walk more ontop of the snow and pack it down rather than dragging thru it

Snow with sunshine on it is super blinding irl, the snow sounds in this game are quite accurate
In terms of snow, it's quite crunchy and firm. It's not really 'fluffy' and so thick snow doesn't really sound like that but instead almost sounds plasticy- im not sure how to describe it but yeah
As someone who grew up around snow, the physics and sounds are almost spot on. Probably some of the best I’ve seen in a game. The snow behaves with light a little weirdly though. It seems very glossy, which DOES happen, but only when the snow is coated in a layer of ice, which it clearly doesn’t in game. If they fixed the lighting issues, and made it look as powdery as it sounds it would be spot on

Very good idea for ASMR, who knew.. If I remember correctly Red Dead Redemption 2 has nice snow sounds. There are wild animals that will attack you so might be challenging walking around peacefully. It’s worth a try.

What do they eat over the winter?
Not every animal hibernates and freezing temperatures make it easier to store food over winter. Salting and smoking also preserves meat very well.

I like the graphics of this Game and I Never play this game before. But I Hope One day I will. and the snow is beautiful too. I Would like to Know is This Game is Hard to play? I Hate games that Are Real hard to play.
The mechanics in earlier assassins creed games are easier than the later ones. If you’ve not played a lot of games, I’d recommend Assassins Creed 2 (graphics are definitely worse, but hold up pretty well for a game that’s over a decade old) or Assassins Creed IV Black Flag. Basically the same games as this but a different setting and storyline and with waaaaaay easier mechanics. To the point where you may actually get bored with fighting, haha.

Red dead redemption has great snow
I think the only thing that’s unrealistic is that the game is not quieter overall when there’s snow vs when there isn’t. In real life having all that snow on the ground makes the woods/nature almost uncomfortably muffled and silent imo

I might be alone here with this but I would've liked to hear the snow louder than your voice. Listening to you talk is nice too but I could barely hear the snow. I usually listen with the volume low so I can fall asleep. Just my opinion.
