When an actor like her plays 15 characters and it seems like it’s 15 different actresses, she deserves every award in existence. She did such a phenomenal job.
I was thinking about that the other day, really if she had done 15 roles in 15 different movies that would be very similar, only instead of doing it over 15 different movies it was all in ONE show :D

ShesThe1yup And I find it more impressive being all in one show because one day she may be playing one character and the next an entirely different one but she pulls it off so well. Not to mention how well she keeps the distinction when her characters are doing scenes together, or when one character is pretending to be another one of the characters 🙌🏼

Seriously this woman deserves all the awards. After watching five seasons it's really hard for my brain to wrap around the idea that all the characters are played by the same person. You get to know each character separately, with her own personality and you fall in love with them in different ways that you forget they're all the same actress. And the fact that some of the scenes that have moved me the most are made by her alone, and it really makes you see the chemistry and the emotions and interaction between the sisters when they're actually all her. It's awesome. And it's not only the sisters who are such incredible characters. Art, Felix, Donnie, Scott... they are all so credible and relatable. Honestly this show is a masterpiece.

It is basically a masterpiece! I thought that season 3 sucked, but it really picked up again after that.

Oscars are for movies. An emmy would be more appropriate considering Orphan Black is a tv show, and thankfully she did get one! But she's definitely talented enough to win an Oscar some day.

She's really an underrated actress
Each clone was so different that after only a few episodes, you forget Tatiana plays all of them. It takes some effort to remind yourself of that, and when you do, then it starts sinking in just how talented she really is. The chemistry the clones had with eachother helped seperate the personalities even more. My favorite was the killer sestra, Helana, started out as the scary villain and ended up a good one. I wish they do a reunion season with her babies being a little grown up...I liked the bimbo and allison for humor too.

Also how different it felt for example when the clones were pretending to be each other with one another's significant others or friends. Like when Sarah pretended to be Alison with Donnie there was no chemistry and that is so crazy

My favorite is Helena! She always comes through to rescue the sestras from tight spots .. she’s also strong and resilient, independent and minds her own business! But is also full of love and has a weird way of showing it but you can always tell she loves” ... Love her

OMG! I can't believe she's not British! As someone from the UK, it's always obvious when actors/actresses try and fake our accent! SHE DID AMAZING!
@ ZIN - TARA: I'm curious as to how you felt Jordan Gervais (Felix) pulled off a British accent. I thought he was quite good though being from the US, wouldn't be as good a judge .
@@robertrichman6873 As a British native, I though Jordan did a really exceptional job. Sometimes Tatiana's accent strayed towards American a little bit but it wasn't so strange since the character Sarah has been living in the US for a while. Jordan's accent however ALWAYS seemed super natural and very convincing which is insane!! Honestly he's done the best job of it I've ever seen

I didn't in fact know that he wasn't British until after seeing this series, thinking he was 'affecting' a North American accent while Krystal gave him a manicure, before going to what he described as his 'truth voice', i.e. British, which as mentioned, I thought WAS his true voice. Such a gifted actor, he.
@@robertrichman6873 Yes, Jordan was excellent. Maybe two or three faults in total through the five seasons, but I think these were always mistakes rather than sIips.

I feel bad that everyone is talking about James McAvoy for his role in Split, but nobody knows Tatiana whereas her performance is just breathtaking. I think it might even be harder to play the roles she did because they're not exaggerated characters.
Agreed! I havent seen Split..I might eventually. But when I heard the hype about it I just rolled my eyes lol. I know it's a different premise, but the fact that Tatiana can make all of these personalities come to life in such an organic and beautiful way never ceases to blow my mind.

well I'm not over the fact that it ended. it was my favourite show. Tatiana's hand gestures makes me think that she is more like Cosima than any other clone although she looks more like Sarah .Cosima is the hottest
I just got on the Orphan Black bandwagon and am now on S3. I was again reminded of how different each clone sister is when a new one is introduced. When Sarah dreamt of Beth, I suddenly realised how different they are because earlier on, we never got to see the real Beth - just Sarah pretending to be her. Now with Krystal's character in the mix, again you see a different person. I also love how real the awkwardness is when one clone has to pretend to be the other. When Sarah had to be Rachel for that meeting with Ferdinand, I could tell that Sarah was not Rachel and she was uncomfortable being Rachel. My favourite characters are Helena and Alison. I don't see Sarah at all in Helena and it was hilarious when Helena pretended to be Alison to save Donnie.

It always feels like you're watching a different person playing each character, she's amazing at making you believe she's separate from each of them. Seriously mindblowing talent 🤯🖤
Just finished watching this incredible show and I didn't realize that it's been 9 years already since it started. I miss every personalities as if they were different persons. Helena was the most interesting character in this series. I miss the sestras 🤣 Tatiana really deserved the award for her performance. I hope that she can come back with a new film soon.

I guess the good news is she will never have to worry about being type cast. I loved the show and in fact I recently watched it again but I stopped at the end of season 3 because to me it was the perfect ending for the show and I only vaguely remember the last 2 seasons. It is wonderful for Tatiana to get so much attention but the rest of the cast were also perfection. Most only had to play 1 character but they did it so well. I have to admit I cannot even imagine any actress who could play even 5 characters in the same tv show or movie. She deserves all the accolades there are I hope she becomes a huge movie star.

I watched the show because the story was intriguing and the mystery. Plus her acting was on point as so many different characters.

Phenomenal acting by Tatiana and excellent story. And we don’t understand the technical stuff behind the scenes when the clones are together watch the clone dance showing how they have to film it so all 4 of them could be together just amazing also when they are together talking Tatiana is talking to a tennis ball on a stick!

I'm watching Tatiana speak and remembering her characters one by one, and somehow they come through and I see the one I'm thinking about. It is like that girl figure which can spin both directions in your perception.

They need to bring the show back. It could be that one amongst them (of the 200+) is a murderous villain but blends in too well with the others for them to easily figure out who it is and why. So they have to hunt down the other clones and get down to the bottom of it... I would love this. An action-packed chase with some mystery.
