We had a nice conversation with AC Infinity, and they let us know about the differences between these Developer Kits and the retail versions. We have one of the retail kits on the way and will be doing an updated version showing the differences :)
I am on my fourth Cloudray s6. I purchased a second on when I purchased my ac infinity tent kit. After about a month of use it stopped communicating with the 69 controller. I contacted ac infinity and they very quickly sent me a replacement. Everything was good for a couple months and then the oscillating function stopped working on one. I don't believe it had any obstructions but maybe it did. I like the function of the fan especially when combined with the 69 controller and the way it can ramp up or down as needed just by setting the temp humidity perameters. I ordered another fan and just set the one that stopped oscillating towards the bottom of my tent to create more airflow through the lower canopy and pots. I have 3 fans going right now and another one is starting to behave a little stiff and I feel like it won't be long before it stops oscillating. I like the fans but considering it only has two functions, ac infinity should work to improve its reliability.
That stepper motor looks like a 28byj-48, something nice and cheap. Just in case you don't get a reply from AC. Also explains why the gearbox ate itself. They're incredibly torqy, but if it's hitting a hard stop, after a while it's either going to burn out the mosfets driving it, or break the gear box. Unstoppable force hitting an immovable object kind of thing :).
Good looking out, I thought it looked like a higher voltage that typical 12v dc. Are you a RC car enthusiast ? They always know electric motor sizes and current ratings...
That looks very very similar, though looking at the different versions of that motor all of them have a different wire color setup. I wonder if it matters or not. I am going to go ahead and order one just to see if it will work in there =) Thanks for the heads up!
Thanks for the in depth review. I also like that you took it apart on camera as well. I'm always taking things apart to see what's inside, especially when something breaks.
Just sent one back after 3 weeks use. Notice the power cord in this video and how it moves with oscillation. My cord lost contact inside motor housing and failed. It’s a decent fan but the oscillating function IS NOT designed or intended to run 24/7! In fact the manual recommends oscillation NO MORE than 18hrs. in a 24 hour period. This fan is a light duty tool for a heavy duty job!! Beware✌️🦚
That's the developers model that they used to test its compatibility with their new controllers. That's why it wasn't sold and was instead given away to get feedback. The motors on the productions ones are different.
I have two of the retail version fans and they both stopped oscillating. I have them in a 5x5 AC Infinity tent and they were both hitting the sides. I just use them for bottom ventilation now, and went back to using a 16" Hurricane fan
I have the same developers edition fan and its been working great. I pre-ordered their final product one because I'm excited to see the improvements they've made since giving away these.
Just installed an AC Infinity S6 along with a T6. They're quiet. I'm always leery of oscillating mechanisms and instinctively set the S6 fan to swing completely. The controller on the T6 has way more functionality than I can deal with but it was game changing for the girls in the way it controls temps.
Right now my fan of choice 8s Honeywell products they last for year blow hige amounts of air . Thanks for thos review would also be nice to see the power it has and how far it reaches . Like showing it blow of the plants and distance thank you love your channel
At some point I am going to do a review like that with a lot of there products, I have an air speed meter now and can measure how hard they are blowing.
i wish these ac infin fans were metal blades and metal caged. plastic fans just dont hold up to metal commercial grade fans. i use a 9in in my 4x4. its old and i need a new one. but its been running for years. 10 years at least non stop. thanks cool hippie geeks. keep them good videos coming guys!
Yeah, the problem is that metal construction gets pretty spendy pretty quickly. When I was looking for fans for our outdoor grow it was hard to find anything metal and decent under $100.

@@TheHippieGeeks even if ac fixes it, I would still buy some, they are cheap, never know when a manufacturer might go out of business or drop support for a product.
For sure, I cant imagine they are going to sell them for less than you can find the motors on Amazon. If it is the right one, they cost me $6 each shipped.
Just got this fan. Definitely needs a longer neck . It seems to mount awkward. Longer neck and longer skinnier pole clip. I'll use it till it quits then get a full size wall mount fan and figure a way to mount it in the tent...
Both of the Dev kits that we received had their oscillating motor fail, but the retail version that we got seems to be holding up. Will need to see what it does over time but it has been fine for one full grow plus the beginning of the next grow.
Fans actually sold out within the first few minutes. They ended up canceling at least a few orders that I know of. Now they are doing pre orders that are said to be being shipped late June, but I pre-ordered 4 on day of pre-order and all 4 have shipped a few days ago. Had to do 4 separate orders as there was a limit of 1.
Please update us if ac/infinity sells replacement motors for this fan, being they can break easily if fan is obstructed when oscillating I hope they do, would be a shame, seems it's probably the only part that may not last for years.
My fan messed up from my 2x4 tents negative pressure... My fan almost fully works... But the left direction skips some gears it clicks a little .... . And doesn't go all the way left... Next gen fan is built better... I have 4 of these... .. These are delicate like China
They should ship with a spare oscillating gearbox/motor each. Or at least list the service/maintenance part as it’s technically a wearable part given the the potential friction that can take place, use case.
@@TheHippieGeeks I’m still on my original (production release) fan, all good thus far too. I believe a lot has to do with making sure it’s not touching the Mylar sides when oscillating. It’s easier said than done if you have a strong extraction fan. It will pull the tent in. I have a friend who’s motor is clicking now because of that. He’s only option is a new unit. I’m being so careful the same doesn’t happen to any of mine.
the fact that the gear box is on the inside of the motor is a big issue for me. most oscillating fans gear wears out long before the motor. i hope they list where replacments can be bought or start to sell them they will be needed if your gonna get your full money out of the fan. good to know this know, have yet for one of mine to break. i comment a while back i was gonna write a script to buy some. it worked like a charm i wanted 4 and got 4 of them wish i bought more now. never checked to see how fast they sold out or if i needed the script or not. i wasn't gonna take a chance on missing out on these since 6 inch oscillating fans are mostly junk to start with and if you want anything decent you have to go to 12 inch and can be too big for some tents.
I am not thrilled about the gearbox either, I wasnt really expecting that when I started tearing it apart. I am still waiting to hear back from them about replacement motors, but I hope they will be able to sell them affordably.
Had the same thing happened to 2 out if 4 so far used one not oslating on low, but it stopped working altogether they are great fans but giving vivosun ones a try soon look the same nearly half the price
Nice, when I checked before making the video they were backordered. It looks like they are shipping a lot faster, they are just giving themselves some space to make sure they can fulfill the orders.
I have a retail unit on the way now, should be here this week. Going to do a comparison video between the two. I am still planning on trying to fix the developer fan though, as I already ordered the motors =)
First of all i'll start & say i love the Fan but bought sept 6th of this year and somehow just 10 min's ago woke up & found out the fan was not picking up in the app went in there to see what's going on & boom fan was completely off, barely touched it & it kicked itself back on & started working but in the process of messing with it a bit found that i have a short in the AC power line coming right out of the fan housing. I have not opened the fan up or anything but have sent an email to AC just waiting on a reply back. probably an easy fix i'd say but would rather just get a replacement. Mainly just wanted to drop little bit of info Fan's are amazing but make 1000% sure u don't have major bends in your cable's as u run them in your tent as well make sure to give the wires some slack after installing into tent.
I got one but it won't come for a month, it was a presale shipping June 22nd. I was like ohhhh noooo I bought one but in a small unit I believe it's gonna be hard to make a unit that will last night although I take super care of all my stuff. I bought the newly upgraded vivosun black oscillating fan with an upgraded motor and positioning of the mount to the fan to keep it from binding as well. It definitely has a motor with more torque because with the grill staying on the fan blades you feel the strong motor used , I left the grill on when normally I would yank it but the breeze had some kick for sure. After 5 months not a problem yet and I am hopeful to do a comparison video soon. Only huge difference would be the ability to control wind force during early vegvthe ac infinitys ability to slow or speed up the fan 10 times offers a wind range of speed also the controller unit's are am tie breaker between them but the vivosun needs a second chance after seeing this video. I wish my wall mount Hurricane HOP is a boss too bad it doesn't have a dc motor so the speed could be harnessed like ac infinity. Now I'm not ad excited to recieve it, hopefull it lasts.
@@brown421421 -thanks, I hope because I have other items too I bought from them like a intake unit and pump unit. How did you get 4 ? This round they had a limit of 1 person I tried grabbing 2.
I am going to let my current grow with the other fan finish out, and see how it has held up. Will likely pick up several of the competitors as well at that point to test them out and see which one looks like a better deal, though I will need to run them all for a grow to see how they do over time as well. I just want there to be some options that dont suck lol =)
@@TheHippieGeeks - I'm telling ya vivosun, I can send you a link but it's a black fan with a improved power motor and improved mounting location. It's plenty powerful and much better than the fire 🔥 edition before.
I cant get the fan grill to open i already tried turning the grill both ways and its just be jammed. Ive opened it before so i know how it open. I just wanna clean it but now i cant
Hey I pre-ordered a fan on 5/23 and they shipped it out 5/27. Much earlier than 6/24 haha for sure. Thanks for the warning! If you order now it may get to you soon as well. Keep rockin!
@@TheHippieGeeks yeah I was really surprised because I wasn't able to get one when they released them. I had to wait to pre-order and I thought they'd ship it out on June 24th. I shared my comment because it seems they are shipping pre-orders put much earlier than June 24th, for those who may be waiting. You guys have been so helpful and I think you're some of the best people on the planet!
Checked the site last night now says the will ship June 8th. I have noticed a pattern of them getting items in stock before the original date. Which I think they are giving a longer initial wait time just to cover themselves and update as they get more accurate info.
I wanted a set so bad. But I couldn't wait any longer so I just bought two monkey fans last week. I was gutted I couldn't get a set but now after watching your hard work I'm kind of glad I did now. Ty brother.
I really want one!! However shipping to New Zealand bumped the price up by $118US 🤯 the whole order of 1 fan when converted to the NZD was around $200 so just gonna have to live with a local equivelant 😞
Shipping to your part of the world is absolute murder. I had to deal with an Australian winner on a giveaway, and I almost crapped my pants when I found out what the shipping was going to cost me lol =)
@@TheHippieGeeks hahahaha yea man! daylight robbery aye. If I was buying a couple of grand worth of items it wouldn't matter that much. but can't justify it for a $35 - $40 fan no matter how good it is. Ah well see you in your next video, till then stay safe 🤙
It really is unfortunate, I follow some computer hardware channels that are in Australia, and it seems that everything is considerably more expensive there due to the shipping Unfortunatly.
With this version I just had to twist it to the side and it popped off, I haven't tried out the new version yet though so they may have changed something.
Thanks for the recommendation man. I just ordered one of these, it is on the way. Currently I´m using a cheap usb fan and I´ve noticed temperatures increase by two grades (°F) everytime the fan is working. Any set up recommendation for this fan? Currently im working with the AC Infinity Controller 69.
Pretty much the same as all other clip on oscillating fans then. Most people run tents that have only corner poles so they get trapped due to 45* angles and fans have 90* swings.
Is a replacement motor available? The oscillation motor has become noisy and the motion jerky despite taking great care to ensure its movement wasn't impeded in any way.
I have not been able to find one. I thought that I had it figured out, but it ended up not being the correct motor and I haven't looked again. I would try reaching out to ACI and see if they can do something for you.
Replacement part is 28BYJ46-t026-12v - can't find the exact part anywhere though. there are plenty of 28BYJ48 variants including 12v but not sure if they will definitely work, and the wings with screw holes are wider on the 28BYJ46-t026-12v than the 28BYJ48 motors I've seen, so you'd have account for the difference somehow when mounting it. also the white plastic JST connector piece is slightly different, has a different "keying feature"; may not fit without modification
@@KragonPebble thanks for this, it is such a pain not being able to get the exact matching part. I did notice a mk ii of this fan is out and free replacements being offered. Their support is great but offering this replacement part for sale would be soo helpful.
Have these been released again? a v2 lol . these look bad ass! I like the addition of an ec motor, I did come up with similar design fan in my my own world lol not ec tho haha.. A solar powered fan would be great for tent to finally get rid of those cables lol
They have released an updated version that changed some things versus these developer kits, and they are up on the website. I have a pair here, I just need the time to get them opened and reviewed =)
I am going to make sure the second fan is always placed properly, and just let it run until it dies. I will likely just do updates as each grow finishes with it.
Mine started clicking 2 weeks after I bought it when it's an oscillating mode it goes click click click click click click click click click click click click click
Thank you and I did reach out to them and they got back to me and they are sending me a replacement wow AC Infinity has some awesome customer service and warranty stuff
I just found this video as my cloudray s6 is not oscillating correctly & sticks & clicks & doesnt oscillate fully . I fear mine is gonna die . Did AC send you a new motor ? , i might have to reach out to them but thought i'd ask you first ..thanks
As my versions were the pre-production, they just replaced them with retail units. I would reach out to them and explain what is happening, from what I have heard they are replacing units that have failures still, at least that is what a couple of folks have said.
I’m not defending Walmart as a company. As far as attaching them to the side of the tent, zip ties work very well. Especially since the fans are pretty much a stationary thing. You really don’t need the ability to quickly clip it wherever you need it because it’s not really going anywhere once it’s mounted in the tent.
If you plan on doing reviews, make sure to tell them that it will be your honest review and won’t be changed. You get what you get, honesty. I know LinusTechTips does this.
Affordable? I hardly call $50 for a 6 inch fan affordable. and it broke over something so simple? You can get some junk from Walmart for half that and it won't break so easily.
The problem with any of the fans that you can get from Walmart is getting them mounted securely in a tent. Not to mention most of the 6" fans we have bought from Walmart do not move this volume of air. I am not saying this fan is perfect, but the most of the options out there are considerably worse.
but for a fan that you got to treat like its a gona blow away in the wind an be priced a arm n leg no no it isnt a good fan you can find better clip on fans at your local stores buying them at the right time also helpnas winter they drop n price as spring n summer they jump in $ by well ALOT LOL
What clip on fans have you had luck with? Any of the ones I have tried have been even worse. I am totally open to there being a better option, I just personally haven't found one.
I figured they was all hype should never brake that easy and if you got a negative air pressure in your tent and walls suck in then those fans are worthless spend your money elsewhere
I am going to keep testing with the second one to see what happens over the course of this grow, and will likely have a final update when the grow is finished up.
$45 for a 6” fan. No, not worth it. Anything marketed for growing weed you are paying at least 2-3 time the actual value at a minimum. Best example, go to a grow store and look at the “nutrient measuring cups” for $9, then go to Walmart and see the exact same measuring cup for $2. Take a bucket $5, drill some holes i it and write weed pot on it $$10-$15.
@@TheHippieGeeks off the top of my head IDK, I do t grow in small tents and usually am using 16” fans that are mounted with screws instead of clipping on. Would be nice if companies went back to making stuff like they used to. My first few grows were with fans from the 60’s or 70’s that came from deceased elderly peoples estate sales. Those fans still work running 24/7 for years after being used who knows how much for 4-5 decades. Now ya buy a fan and a year or 2 later it’s garbage.
I agree, I would love if things were built more to last. I am going to be picking up whatever fans folks tell me about that they think are good alternatives and do a comparison between them, just to see what is out there.
@@TheHippieGeeks not sure on quality, but rural king had “providence 6” oscillating clip on fans” for $11.99 at the physical location I was at just now. The shroud was metal, not sure about the gears though. $11.99 though you could buy 4 and I’m sure 4 would outlast 1 of the other brand.
Cheaper fans come in white and have been working non stop for a few years now. Maybe this is something for new people to invest into for what ever reason. My fans have had their covers completely removed. The white allows me to see any debris on it. What ever works right. The fan only needs to be their for leaf surface temp in my space. Intake from the bottom exhaust over lights closed loop panty hose everything else. Automated lights is something I'm working on right now. Waiting for a cable from ac infinity 5 week shipping from their amazon store gesh.
i say no before i even watch this a box fan is the only fan i will ever use these osalatuion fans i went through a few of these just because i had the money and thought more money the fan will last longer... WELL WE ALL KNOW HOW THAT WORKED OUT... its a hard pass from us...even all these vetaliation systems for the tents them selfs why dont the tent companys put vents up top.. RIGHT...ITS because there designed for use two only be used with ventilation gear witch it another 300$ you get two the point sooner or later ware you go its cheeper two just buy the pot.. after you figure out money spent...respectivly of course and just opion based..
I am going to give this one a chance over the course of the next grow, and see how it does when I have made sure that it isn't being trapped. There will be one more review update at this point.
And how are you holding it in place so that the oscillating function actually works? Do you have them mounted to the top of the tent? Not being a dick here, I am honestly interested. Going to be putting together all of the alternatives that folks give me and do a comparison video. I am not arguing that this is the best out there, just the best that I have tried. They have also supposedly updated the retail version to be more sturdy, and I have one of those on the way as well.
We had a nice conversation with AC Infinity, and they let us know about the differences between these Developer Kits and the retail versions. We have one of the retail kits on the way and will be doing an updated version showing the differences :)

I guess my tent walls being sucked in a bit partially stripped my gears. It still works but it makes clicking sounds.
Mine makes a clicking noise too, it's getting worse each day
Can you do an video on how to take the fan blade off looks like there's a center plastic cover but I can't figure how to take it off. Great video
the fact that the gear box is on the inside of the motor is a big issue for me. most oscillating fans gear wears out long before the motor. i hope they list where replacments can be bought or start to sell them they will be needed if your gonna get your full money out of the fan. good to know this know, have yet for one of mine to break.
i comment a while back i was gonna write a script to buy some. it worked like a charm i wanted 4 and got 4 of them wish i bought more now. never checked to see how fast they sold out or if i needed the script or not. i wasn't gonna take a chance on missing out on these since 6 inch oscillating fans are mostly junk to start with and if you want anything decent you have to go to 12 inch and can be too big for some tents.
I am not thrilled about the gearbox either, I wasnt really expecting that when I started tearing it apart. I am still waiting to hear back from them about replacement motors, but I hope they will be able to sell them affordably.
i love the stationary ac fans! Especially for a 2x4 🤘✌️
I have not tried any of the stationary ones yet =)
Had the same thing happened to 2 out if 4 so far used one not oslating on low, but it stopped working altogether they are great fans but giving vivosun ones a try soon look the same nearly half the price
I was able to order a few the other day. They should be arriving soon. I checked this morning and it said they are still selling them
Nice, when I checked before making the video they were backordered. It looks like they are shipping a lot faster, they are just giving themselves some space to make sure they can fulfill the orders.
@@TheHippieGeeks I received the Dan's I ordered early last week. They're shipping them out a lot faster than the 28th they had originally posted
I too was a better tester. Same result, same culprit. AC Infinity was great and sent me a new, retail unit.
I have a retail unit on the way now, should be here this week. Going to do a comparison video between the two. I am still planning on trying to fix the developer fan though, as I already ordered the motors =)
The instructions also add that you shouldn't operate the oscillating function for more than 18 hours per day, to save wear and tear on the motor.
Yours will probably ship way sooner then that all 4 of mine have already shipped
@@brown421421 -thanks, I hope because I have other items too I bought from them like a intake unit and pump unit. How did you get 4 ? This round they had a limit of 1 person I tried grabbing 2.
Had to place separate orders
I am going to let my current grow with the other fan finish out, and see how it has held up. Will likely pick up several of the competitors as well at that point to test them out and see which one looks like a better deal, though I will need to run them all for a grow to see how they do over time as well. I just want there to be some options that dont suck lol =)
@@TheHippieGeeks - I'm telling ya vivosun, I can send you a link but it's a black fan with a improved power motor and improved mounting location. It's plenty powerful and much better than the fire 🔥 edition before.
👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Awesome that you were able to get ahold of one!
We have gotten a lot of comments saying that they are sending faster than the pre-order indicated =)
Ty brother.
You bet! That is why I wanted to do a long term review, and I will do another update when the next grow is finished with the second fan.
How did you take the front cover off? Ive been at this for an hour it doesnt come off
With this version I just had to twist it to the side and it popped off, I haven't tried out the new version yet though so they may have changed something.
Acá en mar del plata hace un re frío, si le pongo viento se me congelan las plantas 😁
Esto definitivamente es más para un cultivo de interior donde el aire es cálido y necesitas mantenerlo en movimiento =)
I just like to have them blowing all the time to keep the air moving in the tent =)
If you take it apart again can you show some video of the PCB board?
I will for sure. I actually have a retail version on the way as well, and will be doing a comparison video =)
Pretty much the same as all other clip on oscillating fans then. Most people run tents that have only corner poles so they get trapped due to 45* angles and fans have 90* swings.
Check the gen 2
I do still need to get one of the new ones for sure =)
Hi guys, hope your well and happy. I tried your code for this and it doesn’t work. Can you guys help me?
I am looking into it now, not sure what has happened here.
@@TheHippieGeeks thanks a lot, I have now contacted them and shall await their reply
AC infinity has by far, the best products and kits!
💯 👍🏼😎
We have enjoyed using their products for sure :)
Did they send replacement motor
What they have been doing is just sending folks out replacement units if their motor fails like this.
Hi guys. Where can I get an oscillating motor?
Have these been released again? a v2 lol . these look bad ass! I like the addition of an ec motor, I did come up with similar design fan in my my own world lol not ec tho haha.. A solar powered fan would be great for tent to finally get rid of those cables lol
They have released an updated version that changed some things versus these developer kits, and they are up on the website. I have a pair here, I just need the time to get them opened and reviewed =)
Yeah I don’t see the oscillation function lasting over a year.
I am going to make sure the second fan is always placed properly, and just let it run until it dies. I will likely just do updates as each grow finishes with it.
I' ve had 2 vivosun oscillating clip ons for over a year, 1 still works perfect the other still works but doesn't oscillate
I sure did snag me a fan, after hours of trying, 2 returned payments, then finally pre-order list. 🤣 🤣 but it's finally on its way!! I 🤔
Awesome!
Mine started clicking 2 weeks after I bought it when it's an oscillating mode it goes click click click click click click click click click click click click click
Reach out to AC Infinity, they may send you out a replacement.
Yeah mine did the same and it just gets worse over time contact them, they will replace it.
Thank you and I did reach out to them and they got back to me and they are sending me a replacement wow AC Infinity has some awesome customer service and warranty stuff
anyone every grow fastbud 420 glue auto and if so g. per plant with what light?
I have not grown that particular strain.
@@TheHippieGeeks thanks so much
Can this fan be plugged directly into an AC power strip? Or must it be plugged into the AC infinity controller?
It runs on normal AC, there is an extra wire that you can use to control it with the AC Infinity controllers.
Not worth the money. Walmart, $28 10 inch oscillating fan.
How do you hang them on the tent?
Walmart is a POS company. How do you mount that Walmart crap to a tent?
I’m not defending Walmart as a company. As far as attaching them to the side of the tent, zip ties work very well. Especially since the fans are pretty much a stationary thing. You really don’t need the ability to quickly clip it wherever you need it because it’s not really going anywhere once it’s mounted in the tent.
What is the voltage of the motor? Usually those are common on ebay or amazon.
I haven't checked that far into it. I will know more when the next grow is done, and we will do one more update at that point.
I got one and its amazing..a few weeks ago,
They are pretty great =)
No matter how I position the fan, it bumps into each corner wall when oscillating. Is there a way to limit how far it oscillates?
Not as far as I know unfortunately.
add a metal coathanger behind your tent pole. it keep the sides of the tent away from the fan.
When’s your next vid?
We typically drop videos Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday, though if life interferes it can shift a day here and there =)
@@TheHippieGeeks ok cool, thanks for getting back to me
You bet =)
The 2nd one ain't moving flawlessly either
We will have to see how it does. There will be another update video at the end if that grow :)
If you plan on doing reviews, make sure to tell them that it will be your honest review and won’t be changed. You get what you get, honesty. I know LinusTechTips does this.
Tell who, the manufacturer or you folks? I think that everyone knows at this point that our reviews are honest :)
6 months of service ? Then what ?!
I just used it as a stationary fan after that, though they did replace it for me without any hassle.
What is the price
When I saw it they were $50, but since folks are saying they saw $75.
It’s $45 on their website
It's 45 and don't forget to use a discount code for 15% off
What you’re really paying for in the clip section to clip it to the tent frame poles. Not the fan itself.
There is a bit of tech in the fan itself as well, especially if you are using the rest of their products.
Yes but most people don’t have an automated setup or even a matching brand grow setup.
So IMO, not worth that price tag.
I'm surprised you didn't say anything about how weak it is at moving air
I thought that it did a fine job of moving air. I didnt really have any complaints in that area.
@@TheHippieGeeks it's 12v I have 10 dollar fans more powerful than this. I was a tad upset paying so much for such a weak fan
I am not saying this fan is perfect, but the most of the options out there are considerably worse.
damn this is a shame, iv had about 10 fans over the years, everyone of them the oscillation fails
I may have found the motor that they are using for a cheap repair :) Should know next week.
For 75 bucks i wouldn't call it affordable by any means..
Did the price go up? It launched at $50
@@TheHippieGeeks $45 for the 6 inch
@@TheHippieGeeks 75 here in Canada
It’s junk they knew that. That’s why there is a updated version
I still need to get one of the newer versions to see how it works out, I just ended up using these until they both died lol.
@@TheHippieGeeks the new version is on the way as the old version clicks back-and-forth
Definitely not worth $50 each but yes I still have 5 although 1 clicks while oscillating all the time but still oscillates just fine 😂
All of ours have been a mixed bag on reliability, but the retail ones have kept moving at least =D
Same, have two.... One smooth and quiet, other one a bit loud and clicky but works. I'd buy a couple more for $30
but for a fan that you got to treat like its a gona blow away in the wind an be priced a arm n leg no no it isnt a good fan you can find better clip on fans at your local stores buying them at the right time also helpnas winter they drop n price as spring n summer they jump in $ by well ALOT LOL
I've already seen a few people having issues with those fans normally when you got tons of hype it's just that
Anyone have their unit make a knocking sound? Mine always knocks going in one direction
That is often true, but what is a better alternative to this fan? There is just not much out there in the ream of clip on oscillating fans.
That's your fault. SHAME ON YOU
Which is what I say in the video :)
Their way to expensive.
$50 isn't terrible, as lkong as the updated versions dont fail like this one did. Currently testing one to see how it does over the course of a grow.
Looks like $5 worth of Chinese junk. Hope AC sells these for $10 to $12.
That fan is 50$ its not worth it
Do you know of a better, cheaper option?
@@TheHippieGeeks upside down oscillating desk fan 4 year warranty 30-35$
And how are you holding it in place so that the oscillating function actually works? Do you have them mounted to the top of the tent? Not being a dick here, I am honestly interested. Going to be putting together all of the alternatives that folks give me and do a comparison video. I am not arguing that this is the best out there, just the best that I have tried. They have also supposedly updated the retail version to be more sturdy, and I have one of those on the way as well.
