    I put ducting on both sides. The side that connects to the filter plus the side that connects to the tent. It's on the outside of my tent but I do this so I can have a smaller foot print, so it's not two feet long lol. Small three foot set up. I bend the filter so the filter and fan are side by side next to my tent. Ducting tape is a must especially if you have to break it down once a year. at some point you will have a hole where the clamps are on the ducting.

    This is just a fan without the 67 controller which turns it into the perfect tool for creating your environment and dialing in a good VPD. So may I suggest people look to adding the controller 67 with this fan or the T6 or T8 and use the app....it's so much simpler. It has also saved my arse when the timer switch failed to put the lights on, as I could see the temp hadn't risen, so went and checked.
    The charts on the app are invaluable as they show you whats happening to the environment throughout the hour - day - week - month - It's so useful and helps you dial in so quickly and helps to match you temps against humanity, giving you exact vpd that you know how to tweek as the charts give you a visualisation to work from.
    In early veg I had a humidifier going, that also had an app and I got it in sequence with my fan, so as it started spraying vaper into the air, it was lowering the temps in the space, until it reached 80% humidity, The lower temps cut off the fan, and as the light heated the space up again it made the fan cut in when it hit 78f , which in turn started to lower the humidity again. This cycle took about 15 mins. with temps going from 76 - 78 and humidity changing from 75 - 85% but with good airflow. With my VDP bouncing from 0.4 -0.8. within the cycle.
    In later veg, no need for humidifier as I have a nice 65% ambient. But the App is still useful as it shows how long it takes things to cool down when the light goes out, so if you add supplementary heating in the dark hours, you can see it's effects as it kicks in. Or fails to come on. which the heat chart will show you.
    The App also has schedules settings that you set up just like you would the main profile. But you can set it all at different levels for lights out as an example where you may want to cut the fans down a bit to hold the heat in.
    IMO....the AC 67 is the best bit of kit I have....I can buy lots of different high end lighting as the market is flooded with it. So this wins hands down even against my 2.9 600w pro. So anyone thinking of getting this but wondering if they should go higher end lighting with their budget......get this it will help you learn how to grow.

    • @UbiquitousRomp
      @UbiquitousRomp Před 2 lety

      PPS....the AC infinity 67 controller is only about an extra $£ 40 , an absolute bargain, because it regulates humidity and temperature with it's auto control settings. It replaces two expensive inkbird controllers and is so much simpler to use and is fully adjustable without you have to even enter the room. And you always have live data on your temp, humidity and it even gives you the current VPD figures.

The only way is buy pulling in air from outdide the tent and if that air is to cold also it's not going to heat it up it does make it easy to monitor and works well if the room you keep your tent in is at right temperature and humidity it can lower temperature and humidity but not up them I turn them to modes if when running mine on auto

    I am still trying to see clearly how air from outside gets dumped into the room from one end as an example. And at the other end it is sucked out. I don't see it. The in and out can not bein in the same location.
    Can you clearly show, the in one way into the room and then the blowing out end?
    It is certainly not a fan that moves the air around... I would think.

    • @HappyHydro
      @HappyHydro  Před rokem

      So primarily the vent kit would suck out the old, hot air that rises and the pressure difference would cause cooler, fresh air to be pulled in from the passive vents at the bottom of the tent. This makes it so that the fresh air gets pushed past the leaves and helps the photosynthesis process occur

    • @alchemy1
      @alchemy1 Před rokem +1

      @@HappyHydro The same concept as roof vents in the attic of homes that are motorized....
      Since cold air is always at lower elevation in this respect and heat rises.... one must make sure that set up is not so sealed that what is termed as passive vents, unless there is these vents that are installed but not shown, refers to nothing but opening between the walls and joists so air flows in through them.
      If this what it is as passive vents.. cloth dryers function based on that. They have clear blowing out part but never ever it is verbalized where the air comes from that get blown out. Even with animation they use,.... just the path of air moving out is shown all the way to the opening outside but not exactly where the air actually comes from... And that is America.

I understand if people have space limitations but if they don't. Why not put it outside? Because my thought is I want to maximize my grow space and these things take up including the light a lot of room that could go towards taller plants. I must be missing something. I've got a 36 inch by 36 in because of the spot that it's in. However I have two and a half feet of headroom above the tent that I can install. AC Infinity does say in their instructions that you can put the carbon filter outside of the tent and push air through it as well, though. I've never tested using a filter that way so I can't say with certainty. You might be on to something!
