Probably the best video I have seen on selection tools. Great to see them all used and compared. Thanks Aaron
Great tutorial. Simple, concise and easy to follow. Thank you.
DAmn, this is the clearest, most useful selection tutorial I've ever seen. and I've watched a lot of them, thank you!! (subscribed)
Thanks for this quick rundown on selections! Very helpful!

You're the man, Aaron. Once again, thanks so much!
Awesome video, the one I have been searching for to complete a composite I've been struggling with. Thanks so much.
Wow! Wonderfully clear tutorial 😮🙌 Thank you! 🤗
Thank you for posting this video. The Channels feature is something I’ve never understood but you somewhat shed light to this topic. The question I have is…is Edit > Fill exactly the same as paint tool?
By far the best tutorial about this crucial subject. Thank You and bravo!
I loved this video and the puppy dog was an added bonus 🤣 made my day. So cute!!!
Thank you once again. It was nice to see them all compared. Over time I've certainly forgot more and I would like. And this was a nice "by the way" featured video.
Great instruction on selections. Many thanks!

You're a great teacher. Thank you! For @3:51 what if the color seclected is black. Can we chance it to say red, or yellow? I tried but it barely changes the color.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much Aaron!!!
God-tier -ty!
Baddass!!! Thank you!!
Great tutorial
The best tutorial I have seen in selection tools. I'm using the 22.5.1 release and when I clicked on refine hair button it automatically rendered the hairs with red mask. Thanks for making this video.
Thank you so much for the tips and tricks
Best tutorial ever on selection. Thank you. ❤️👏

Little welcome reminder, thank you
Amazing tutorial.....!
I think I will subscribe to PHLearn. Maybe I will have some more questions, as I am really good in finding technical limits in an application.
You seem to be the right kind of guy to answer those seemingly unsolvable questions.
Top banana as usual! Many thanks.
The best channel to learn Photoshop
Wow, best selection tool video ever
Hi from Australia, great tutorial Aaron.
Aaron you should do a video of all your different hair styles over the years ;-) Been following for some time now :) Great vid btw!
I'm embarrassed to say how many "selection" videos I've watched. But this time it FINALLY clicked. Wow .... and DUH! And I love your dog.
Something about this video just covered everything in Hours of other videos but soo much better. Thanks
nice video...thanks!!!
Tnx so much
Affinity Photo has a Fast Fourier Transform filter, Denoise feature. Do you know if Photoshop has plans of adding this filter to PS in the future?
thaaaank you so much
thanku for given us a great tutorial
I’m do experience some really strange problems when I use the refine edge brush tool. There is weird zigzag symbol appearing as I paint over the areas I don’t want to include in my selection. Could this have anything to with my brush settings or are they standard as you enter the select and mask function?
Asome!!!! your content is incredible bro!!! im from Perú💪
Thanks bro
thank you!
Aug 14, 2021 - Excellent tutorial, you are a PhotoShop Master :) thanks for sharing :)
awesome video very imformative.
Thanks Aaron
Great video
YOU ARE THE BEST

For the first practice, I did the same: I used smart selection object, then I used lasso tool. However, after filling the selected area with lasso tool with black the border of the shirt near the cross line became white; it seems that some white powder was sprayed on the shirt.
What do you suggest me do?
Thanks
Excellent
Great spirit when it comes to sharing the knowledge I really appreciate the instructional techniques although sometimes I'm left hanging as there is so much to digest! Well done
PRICELESS TIP$!!
thanks sir. realy helpfull that photoshop most tools tricks
I reckon there's about 6 excellent Photoshop training channels on CZcams, but Aaron's is the best. Comes across as a nice guy too, which is a bonus.
Great video! Just a question, when filling the cloud, why not only the selected part has been filled, but the whole page is filled at certain degrees.
I don't even have photoshop, but I knew it had great selection tools. I was in the middle of my unrelated work when I suddenly got the urge to learn and see them in action so I came here. This was very satisfying, I'm now considering PS. Thank you 😊
Sent to Eien in the comments below. It takes time to learn. I downloaded Photoshop CS-3 from 'LimeWire' (Long Gone Now) in 2010 for free as pirate software. 2007 version. My introduction to digital painting was 'MS Paint', part of Windows XP. The Crazy thing is that I barely knew what I was doing with MS Paint. It took me weeks of struggles to finally finish my picture doing it all in mostly Dots. It was the only one I ever did with 'MS Paint'.
I went to bed. The work exhausted me and I felt that I never want to go through that again. 90 minutes later, I woke up with an epiphany! "Maybe, I can get up and Download Photoshop'. It worked. I have been paying Monthly for modern Photoshop a long time now, but never really got into it. That's why I'm here.
BTW: My 'Best Ever' Painting was the one I did in 'MS Paint'. You posted your comment a Year ago saying you were interested in getting into this. How are you doing today? If you respond, I am sure I can find a way to link that first painting to you. 'Trackpaint 44' It makes an excellent Poster and I keep on on my wall. I am really, really, good at painting 'Stereographic 3D' as 3dmacphee or 3dfantasys.
@@davidmacphee3549 Ah, hello
Thank you for typing a long comment
Getting into Photoshop wasn't my priority back then, and it still isn't. But it is something that's always there. I'm good at learning things by tinkering with them, that's how I got good at my art apps on phone and a bunch of software on PC. So I'm not worried about PS. Since last year, I've learned a bunch of more things about it even though I only opened it like 4 times.
The thing is, every time I do open it I want something and I won't close it until I have made it exactly how I want. I do a lot of looking around in the software and also searching the web in order to do that. So I learn new things little by little and it grows into almost having mastered the apps.
Admittedly, Photoshop looks like it's gonna take a long time. Regardless, there's no rush for me. If I ever need to learn it faster, I will. No problem.
So, about that first painting of yours. I'm looking forward to seeing it! 3D paintings are interesting and have a certain cool look to them, so I'm excited. If you let me, I might even print it and install it on my own wall too. Haha. Thank you in advance ✢
I am in Toronto Canada. I'm curious With your name. How about you?
@@eienryucho6648 "The thing is, every time I do open it I want something and I won't close it until I have made it exactly how I want." Diligence and determination!
Other things you said remind me of how I was when I was younger. So many Hobbies but never all at once. Hope to keep in touch.
god bless u mr phlearn
Excellent, I like the way you use masks!! Masks are a life saver ;)
XCellent !
when you use the rubber tool on photoshop you can go to a new lay and draw only on you're selected part right? i'm switching from gimp and i'm used to the selections tools they have but i would like to use photoshop but the main reason i stick with gimp is the selection tool and they're glow effect (that they got ride of)
if this is not the most helpful tutorial about photoshop then I donno what it is, thanks a lot Aaron.
Rất hay ạ
Great
