These songs are from the 70s and attitudes have changed since then. I remember when the Police came out with that song it was not taken literally by me anyway, from the first I interpreted "I'll be watching you" as not literally watching her but Sting singing about keeping her in his mind and thinking about what she's doing but I guess it could be about a stalker following her around and actually spying on her.
He actually did amazing when he sang that little bit of ''Every Breath You Take'' We need the full version!!
