- Welcome to our latest NF Reaction for Paid My Dues!!! As we continue our NF journey it is so evident that he will keep increasing his abilities as an MC creating music that can inspire all of us! In this particular track he is talking about his struggles and coming to a fork in the road in regards to stay true to himself and continuation of making honest music or taking the road of the many stereotypical artist currently out right now that chooses the mainstream and does what they can to achieve instant fame. NF decides to take the more challenging route as he builds up his empire and creates a legacy that will live on!!
We are excited to watch it all unfold and we will continue to follow NF very closely!!

I think I'm psyco i haven't listen to other artists songs, since the day i met NF, he is truly a Legend to me, he will soon be the Owner of this rap game. It's 100% positive.

Start from beginning. NF listed kendrick as his top 5. He studied a lot of the greats.
This is for anyone new who may want to take the NF journey as we call it because he intertwines his music like marvel movies.
All four albums is like a connected series. For instance in his when i grow up song, paid my dues, leave me alone, and why song, the black smile is the fake smile that he mentions in therapy session song.
He hides eggs in his videos. In when i grow up song there was two hidden eggs in that song. A black balloon by the trash cans and in burger joint he grabbed at receipt that had the date and time of when his song time was being released. He had outcast name tag on in the janitor part from his Outcast song. Another example is in the search song he had cage in background he rapped in from his outcast song.

I think any NF fan who made these lists have it correct with order. Mine is just very very detailed with homage paid and hidden eggs as most people miss them.

The balloons are his burdens which it was such a great visual he was bench pressing them. Burdens are heavy and weight a lot.

This was to the rolling stones article that trashed his second number one album when he beat out chance the rapper. The writer was a chance fan. Over 400 people in comments trashed that bastard lol

NF jabs with his bars and cadences which hits more than a punchline. Because he jabs and jabs then gives you a punchline to finish you off. He would be great in a rap battle.
Correction: NF is from Gladwin, MI, a really small town in the middle of nowhere. But yes NF and Em has a lot of similarities, BUT still a LOT of differences.

Correction...'cause I'm still pissed about this two years later!
Despite earning No.1 on the Billboard 200, he DIDN'T win Album of the Year, or Best Rap Album, or Best Rap Song or Best Rap Performance at the Grammys. My mans wasn't even NOMINATED! 😡
2020 was the year where I was officially done with the Grammys!
As for that article, the guy favored Chance The Rapper to reach the top of the Billboard but NF passed him. And the guys at USA Today and Rolling Stone were like "Who is this Eminem sound alike rapper we've never heard of?" The disrespect!
Also, another correction. He *is* from Michigan, though not from Detroit. He's from Gladwin, Michigan; might be the first rapper to make it outta there - I don't know. But the people who live there have to be proud of him.

Hey, just letting you know that NF isn't from Detroit. He is from a small town called Gladwin. It is about 2 1/2 hours from Detroit. I feel that the reason he sorta sounds like Em voice wise is because of the Michigan accent. If you fina an interview of NF and an interview of Em you can really hear the accent resemblence.

It is serious in a way though because my number one track of his, Remember This, actually saved my life - no exaggeration. I am forever in his debt. I know you don't know this, However, Outcast, ( NF FANS) Don't like when you Compare Him to Marshall. You would PROBABLY have more Views on this Segment had you NOT Compared. Nate is his own Style. If course someone is going to sound like Somebody since Hip Hop has been around since 1975. Most people compare cuz he Caucasian, and don't even realize the Bias in it. NF has said Marshall was his inspiration. Who wasn't inspired by The Word bender. Just something to Marinate on. Great Job.
