- The Long Dark is a game that has long been asked for by several of my viewers, so today I'll be giving it a try knowing almost nothing about the game. Per the Steam description, it is "a thoughtful, exploration-survival experience that challenges solo players to think for themselves as they explore an expansive frozen wilderness in the aftermath of a geomagnetic disaster. There are no zombies -- only you, the cold, and all the threats Mother Nature can muster." Sounds like it's right up my alley!

You really lucked out with finding a knife in your first few seconds of that first run! I have never seen that kind of luck.
I had suggestions for other mechanics of the game but you seem to have a number of people giving you advice in the live chat. Also this was eight days ago so I am pretty sure you have figured out a lot of the easy stuff by now.
Actually, at this point I've already moved on lol - This was just a 3-day event to try the game out and see how I like it. There were definitely many aspects of the game that I liked, but a lot of it just didn't resonate with me very well. Perhaps I'll give it a try off-stream sometime to see if it clicks with me, but for now I've moved on to other stuff.
This is the game that conviced me not to buy a game with no jump. Don't even get me started on animals dodging your aim. Hahaha. I'll give a like but I can't put myself through this again.
The jumping doesn't bother me all that much. Jumping in snow when wearing lots of snow gear isn't easy! But now being able to climb over a tree truck on the ground? That's just crazy talk!
