Great demo! Thank you for putting this video together. I've been looking to buy one of these for some time and your video is the best demonstration on youtube of the capabilities of a flail mower. Keep up the good work.

I have never seen one of those before today and I have a brush hog which I use for mowing fields and areas with large growth. I thought this implement would only be good for cattle ranches, but after seeing in in action, I can see that it is good for more than that.

Dan, I have a Titan 60” flail on my 26HP Mahindra 1526 (19hp at the PTO) I’ve been using for a few years now. It’s rated for a 30hp PTO tractor. My Mahindra handles it just fine. The mower is rated at up to 4” material if memory serves, but the largest diameter of standing saplings I’ve cut is around 2” and that’s only because I don’t want anything bigger dragging under my tractor as I run over it. The 19hp PTO being less than the rating most likely wouldn’t handle much larger than the 2”. It cuts grass like nobodies business, also. I can make my field look like my yard if I don’t let the grass get 18” tall. And even then, the only difference would be the amount of grass clippings laying on top after a pass. I went the flail route due to the excessive real estate a brush hog takes up on the ground as well as the trailer. I have an 18’ heavy pipe trailer and have room to spare with my setup. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. This video is a spot on demonstration of what they can do.

@@troywilburn9147 thanks for the info. Was starting to look at masticators but I think this would be a better overall tool.

Great video! Just wondering how this compares to a slasher? I'm trying to decide which will suit my new block best as it's a mix of regrowth, long grass, rough ground that we're planning on trying to get to a more appealing finish.
