This home is perfect. And all those cement block and wood are not all alike. Last ten year of minimal trend have gone overboard and reveals bad taste.

I know the people who bought this house.. believe me they are not worried about maintaining and upkeep..it’s at very least their fourth house..Aspen..palm beach..Chicago.. they are great people and can’t help but root for them.. it’s beautiful! BTW. They also donate truck loads of money to charity every year!

Lake Geneva is a beautiful place, summer and winter. The lake is stunning, and it’s namesake town is bustling with shops and restaurants. A spectacular getaway for the monied Chicago set, and others.

I used to walk by it on the walking path. There used to be more Estates lining Lake Geneva that the land was broken down and the main beautiful home torn down. Lake Geneva has lost so many treasures. The newer homes just don’t have want the older ones do.I loved being able to see more of this home besides the Lakefront view.
I love that most of the home is light and airy. It is stunning, landscaped property and view too, extraordinary
Furnishings are light and tasteful...they kept out the heavy stuff. All it needs is one of those beautiful wooden motorboats you see on the lakes and canals in Italy.
people should get more homes like these built i think it would make the neighborhood look more visually appealing based on my feelings

Love the classical architecture that pair back to Greek Revival details. Clients who love properties like these are a dream to work with, since they genuinely appreciate fine historical details. Even much smaller versions of homes like this one are becoming quite pricey. Housing inventory is limited and finding people with the skills to create homes like this are becoming rare.
I'm going to completely out honest. The outside makes it feel like a Library. Yet certain aspects of the house gives me nostalgia of my old Private High School Dormitory days. Being its built like a smaller version of it.
I love this house so much used to walk by it all the time and my friend worked on the inside
My husband did extensive work in the library,and various other rooms in this place.
You would probably have to pay more than that to get that level of craftsmanship. If that is even possible today.

This is truly a mansion, opulent yet warm and inviting. I am so tired of multi million dollar homes that are uninviting sterile cubes. Worth the money, impeccable craftsmanship.
Great little weekend cabin on the lake, a little on the spartan side, but one could make do with a small addition containing a sink for cleaning fish.
A truly elegant mansion and stunning garden and lake.

I live near Lake Geneva. This is a beautiful house but doesn’t feel like a summery LG lake house. LG has many mansions but this seems like it would fit better in Newport, RI or Greenwich, CT.

I appreciate they have a kids corner with playhouses and ice cream. The mansion is stunning, but nothing makes a house a home more than a family to enjoy it. All is missing is a tree house..🙄😏😁❤

Yup. You should see what 350-500,00 will get you. In New York or Beverly hills the price would be in the millions. Although winter sucks and the property and sales tax will kill you. Winter pics wouldn't be stunning.Nothing is stunning in WI in the winter.

For that kind of price the driveway and walkways need to be much better than crushed granite, high end concrete papers at the very least.
Concrete cracks in WI due to expansion and contraction in winter. 0 degrees and below doesn't make for longevity.

Great in the summer, but can't even imagine what their heating and electricity bills are....but if course if you paid that much for the estate, those costs wouldn't matter. Have been to Lake Geneva many times when I lived in Wisconsin. ( Now in CA.

All the house of the world was over price. Usually the price was at price evaluated by municipal add about 15% depending the state of the house That’s reasonable price for me.
