@@bullythekid2 you're not alone bro, this used to be my favorite film when i was 5. (and today i always remember to show it some love once in a while when im tired of pretentious or overcomplicated films)
Everytime I need to elevate my mood to a "badass" level, I crank up this awesome music at maximum volume! Not the most famous Carpenter´s work, but for sure one of his best!
This song would make a great tribute to all the badass westerns throughout the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's and 2010's for how badass this theme is that adds the horror and dark western style perfectly, thank you John Carpenter and for this underrated and awesome flick!
oh man when I was about 9 or 10 I stayed up late one night and saw vampires, and from then I was hooked!! this, ghosts of Mars and 28 days later were my three fav childhood movies!! :D
I remember seeing bits and pieces of the movie when channel surfing as a kid. In a way this theme stuck with me; but now that I'm hearing it again (for the first time in years) it sounds better! I don't know who put up this video, but thanks!
Love this theme. Mainly because it is a modified, recycled version of the THEY LIVE theme. Sped it up quite a bit, but it's definitely the same. It gives me wood, a little mahogany...
Always thought that Valek was gonna come for me (reason why I slept with lights on). Remembered when I watched this as a kid. It's one of my fav movies about vampires.
Just finished re-watching it, gotta love the prospect of dragging vampires out into the sun and watching them explode into flames instead of the contemporary standard of weird pale guys going back to high-school after 300 years to score under age trim.

Ah, the good, old days of the ever optimistic 1990s before the post-9/11 2000s era ruined vampires and werewolves for me forever with Van Helsing, the Wesley Snipes Blade movies and the Underworld movies!
INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE, FROM DUSK TILL DAWN, BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA, 30 DAYS OF NIGHT and John Carpenter's Vampires The lost boys, Near Dark Innocent Blood, The horror of Dracula and The original Dracula are without a doubt my all time favorite vampire movies to date. I'm old school I prefer my vampires that kill not fall in love.
This is such a cool movie! I saw it in a movie theatre when it came out. Movies need the darkness just like vampires. (James Woods and Maximilian Schell are great in this movie.)
Dude so many so little time or comment space when master slaughters the posse smooth body cavity F/X loved it..and the end fires weapon burns bite on neck that takes grit.
The best part of this film is definitely Carpenter's theme.
Carpenter worship.
Carpenter's theme for sure but also James Woods performance really kicks ass in this movie. It's easily his most badass role ever.
I've loved this song since I was a kid. It's so good
I might be the only one in the world, but i love that film

It's one of those castings that on paper was really weird but worked.
