No other whiskey reviewers present with such dedicate swishing sounds. True pros!
I've ventured out to many different scotch whiskies and The Glenlivet is always a must to return to. It's an absolute staple in my collection and I will never NOT have a bottle of The Glenlivet on in my collection!
Lovely opening pictures and great choice of music. Thanks for the informative discussion and tasting!
my all time favorite Whisky, thanks to you guys, after having watched your previous review i decided to buy a bottle, i completely recommend it
Another wonderful review!!
I absolutely loved this. Will always be in stock in my cabinet.
Just had some. Awesome stuff
Great review, thank you.
Awesome review, as always! I hope one day both of you go to every distillery review the master piece with the masters together on youtube! will be phenomenal!
I love you guys!!!
Such a rich, complex, and delicious dram. Cheers!
I love this stuff. Will definitely be getting another bottle.
This is my favourite Glenlivet expression, not much of a Glenlivet fan but this particular expression is mind blowingly decent, great review
Thanks for your review, guys. I'm going to buy it tomorrow and hope I will be glad my purchase 😌
I had my first glass of the 18 this evening while at dinner. Amazing! So flavorful and rich as well as strong! Even my girlfriend who otherwise doesn’t enjoy whisky liked it.
You and Ralfy got me into this one, and I also adore it! Great value for money too here in Hungary (~50 eur).
Great video, as always! *** By the way, this nice old bottle(43%) was really great! *** Sadly, the new one, which is only 40%, sucks! It's sooooo much worse. Even the bottle looks awful!
This is a reely nice one!
One of the best whiskies I had in 25 years...Hearing that from Horst... Definitely gonna buy a bottle...
Keep in mind that they were drinking from an older vintage bottle which was bottled at 43% alcohol. The newer ones are only 40% alcohol therefore they will not taste the same.
This is my favourite whisky!
It's indeed a great bottle! I finally made the purchase of one yesterday and opened it up for a glass last night! Poured 1.5 once of the Whisky and what a delight! You will also enjoy ! Cheers 🍻
Excellent bottle of single malt!
Father and son just chillin out together sipping fine single malt scotch.... you guys are seriously living the good life =P
Foxhound hell yeah just beat Metal Gear Solid 2 for about the eighth time
@@PeacefulStrawberry lol what's that have to do with anything
Kittley Catty hahahahaha
My wife gifted me this for Christmas. I am enjoying it right now.
I believe when both father and son get together and nose/taste/aftertaste; the review is even more informative.
2:20 If you play Call of Duty...
Lol. His secret gaming channel together with Horst
Please do a video comparing old glenlivet 18 43% with new edition 40% in english. I am wondering how much worse is new release.
Yes please do. I just picked up a bottle of the 40% 18 year. It wasn't until I got home that I remembered it used to be 43%, as you mentioned in the video. Would be curious to hear some commentary on the differences and why Glenlivet made that change. Great video! Will be watching more of your content.
This! ^
@@forestdweller8164 they don't have enough casks so watering it down.
18 year is fabulous. I have both the 18 and 21. Honestly for the money and flavor I prefer the 18. Another wonderful Scotch the the 18 yr Glenfiddich.
Would love to hear your opinion about the most recent version of Glenlivet 18, the “batch reserve”.
Get amazed how different are your opinions!
when will u b doing the next Faq/questions and answers?
I appreciate your comments and evaluation so much!! For me, the main take-away from your evaluations is this: older is generally better. I have followed this guideline and discovered you’re right. And, as a result, my enjoyment of whiskeys has increased. Thank you.
Nice review fellows. I like the caption at 5:09 when Ben was nosing it. The macallan 18 directly in the rear view. That's how how I feel with the comparison of the Glenlivet 18. Tasty dram.
tasting it right now, no words to describe, 4/5, guys, get it, 1000% worth the price
Where can I find that whiskey glass
Sounds like my kind of dram, and probably affordable for an 18y.
That Woodford double oak is delicious, as is the glendronach parliment
Too bad that bottle is 181$ here in New-Brunswick, Canada. Love that bottle!
its on sale in Edmonton i just bought 2. 109 dollars each
Getting this one in november/december. 70/80 $ for this 18 yo whisky, good price.
Question,
I bought a bottle, I'm aware it no longer ages as it's no longer in its cask or however it's spelt, I buy it in 2024 would it be any more valuable or better drinking 10 years from now if kept in good condition or would it be the same if I just bought it in 2034?
THIS ONE IS A TRUE GEM, SRSLY
Ben nailed it on the nose. Apricot especially.
I urgently need the link for the background music from the intro!
Or the name of the group, anyway...can you support?...please🙏🏼
Very great sound.....
Greetings🇩🇪
That song is called "A Good Night Out" by Pamela RS.
Glenlivet 12 I didn't care for at all. The 18y is a fantastic dram
It's like the cheapest 18yo you can get, just over 50EUR in Czech republic
I got this bottle delivered this year and it was at 40% abv. Was this changed in 2020?
Yeah. It's harder to find the 43% now
i dont drink that much. but this is the best tasting alcohol of all time
Price
I can’t get this in my area for under $100. The cheapest I’ve found is $130. At that price, is it still a must buy?
JK Dude 77 no you would definitely be overpaying
Question from a whiskey beginner: I wanted to buy the bottle of Glenlivet 18, but noticed there is only the new bottle with 40% ABV. Are these 2 bottles the same whisky with only difference that new one is mixed with more water or are they 2 completly different whiskies?
In the course of the design change of the 18-year-old Glenlivet, the alcohol strength was also reduced from 43% vol. to 40% vol. to bring it in line with the other quality. The taste is more or less the same
@@Whiskycom Great, thanks for the answer.
The dad with the Rolex and drinking fine whiskey
$70-$80? Where? The cheapest I’ve seen is $110. I got mine for $130. But it’s well worth the price.
europe probably
70? It’s $120 in my location (USA). Very good but not worth the current price.
70 euros
Total wine has it for $95 in Minnesota at least which isn't too bad.
At Carrefour France, you can buy it at 50 EUR.
54EUR in my area, bargain af
$65 usd at Costco all day right now.
Delicious dram, better than the 25yr old!
maybe it is me but this taskes like a supermarket 16 euros wiskey. feel like i have been robbed.
It is good if you don't mind the biterness.
shaaaaaarp
Why do some macallan casks say Macallan Glenlivet?
So Horst tasted broken glass? He likes his whiskey that sharp huh..cool
I'm the 666th viewer... nice!
