*”I’ll look you up if I’m ever in Westbury.”* Honestly? I think she absolutely knew before she ever arrived. Watch the series back. Young Joe gives the name of the town. And late in the series mentions how Georgia doesn’t miss a thing. Our Mayoress is no fool💅🏽She didn’t just *accidentally* or *randomly* drive across country to a town where a guy who changed her life with a pair of sunglasses and half of a sandwich (her words) resides. She knew what she was doing. Trust😌
She didn't just appear in Wellsbury. It was because of her meeting with young Joe. She even told Ginny that but at what point did she realise it was the Joe she met earlier? If you chance upon someone you met when you were 15 years, 15 years later, chances are you won't even recognise them. This video is to show exactly when she certainly knew this was her Joe. I believe it was when he made that statement about the spilled condiments.
Because they implied she did. 😭 The first scene at his shop she called his name and he asked if they had met before or something and she just played it of
@@MARiAN-gv1dj the thing is, she never looked up to actually see the name tag. She didn’t even deny that she didn’t know him, she challenged him by saying “I don’t know, do you?”
I don’t know but I’ve always implied that Georgia knew who Joe was and was one of the reasons why she chose to move to wellsbury in the first place. Ginny once mentioned that the sunglasses of Joe meant ‘hope’ for Georgia. Plus, how casually Georgia thanked Joe on the first episode showed she knew him already. Joe just thought she read his name tag. ❤
I was just rewatching the series, and I noticed something. I think Georgia immediately knew who Joe was. I say this because later in the season, Christmas I think, she said she saw him in the window, right? So I think what happened is, she was driving by or walking, noticed him and went in and sat down. The reason I say she knew him is because when he was pouring her coffee, without even looking up at him, she said "thanks, Joe". He thought it was because of the nametag, but she didn't even see his nametag so I feel like she knew it was him from the jump and I think he started to figure it out or figured it out in the beginning scene of this video, because she said "I'll cry if I damn want to", OR the sunglasses. Sunglasses for sure if not starting to figure it out over the burrito/sandwich thing.
Or it could be that she heard someone mention his name. He's pretty popular in his Café and town. I always remember the surprise look Georgia had on her face in Season 1 when Joe made the famous 'don't cry over spilled condiments' statement. I'm pretty sure when she got to the town, she may have been wondering if he was the Joe she met in her younger years. But that statement confirmed it. If she knew, she wouldn't have had that look. It would have been a Knowing smile on her face because she had heard him say it before. It's that surprise look that makes me believe she didn't know he was her Joe. And after getting to know someone for a while, you don't even have to see their face to know it's them. So that Christmas day, she was passing by, when she saw his form then decided to join him in his café. She didn't know how Joe would look like when she first came to town.
@@starrdella that’s true too, and that’s probably the part where they both realized who they were because she responded the same way when he said not to cry over spilled condiments. She did say she’d look him up if she was ever in Wellsbury, which you can’t get a lot of info with the name “Joe” but it doesn’t seem like there’s many people named Joe in Wellsbury lol so it could definitely be a combination of things
I'm just stating my opinion here so don't give me hate but honestly I loved Paul but I really think they should have put Georgia and Joe together they have the most sweetest chemistry ever. You could tell Joe loves Georgia, just by the looks he gives her. I mean I love Paul. Paul is sweet, but it would make the show a lot more interesting and a lot more entertaining if they put Joe and Georgia. BUT LIKE I SAID MY OPINION!!
It's Joe for me b/c he will both keep Georgia’s secrets & be her biggest cheerleader in her effort to become a more settled and law-abiding citizen😂Paul is too official, but I understand he has to be in his role as Mayor. Paul immediately reported the credit cards he came across in Georgia’s home🤦🏾♀️ A man like Paul is dangerous for a woman like Georgia 🤷🏽♀️
Paul is great and all but Georgia is meant to be with Joe like it's so obvious that they are meant to be together the chemistry between them is off the chain
Listen, Joe is very sweet and good looking, I was really rooting for him. But Paul won me over completely. I was against their relationship in the beginning cause it was based on lies and manipulation...I felt like Georgia was falling back in her old ways. But Paul saw through it completely and made her more vulnerable to a genuine connection. And when he proposed even knowing she betrayed him with Zion, that was a class act. Zion understood her but he kept her from growing and maturing, Paul accepted her as she was but challenged her to be better. Also Joe rubbed me the wrong way in the second season, he gave such loser energy. Georgia had a sort of sweet spot for him, that he misinterpreted, but she never lead him on. I don't think she did anything to warrant his outrage, especially since he never actually pursued her.
I mostly agree. I don’t think Joe’s a loser but he’s reading signs that aren’t there and he’s just not right for Georgia. Unfortunately, I think the show will take it there. What really makes Paul a class act in my opinion is that he not only forgave Georgia and Zion but he gets along with Zion. But what makes him right for Georgia is that they have similar goals in life and will do what it takes to accomplish those goals. They’re made of the same stuff!
there was a reason why Georgia seeked Joe out why she moved to where he was and a reason why she kept those raybands that he said she could keep through their first meeting, all those years ago because just through those first seconds of meeting he changed her life in ways she couldn’t ever explain, ‘these sunglasses… and half a sandwich changed my life.’ then from there she kept on seeking him out because to Georgia Joe is home to her sometimes a home isn’t four walls.. it’s a person and for Georgia that person is Joe.
I would adore Joe and Georgia together...I hope thats how the series ends but tbh I wouldn’t want that for her right now and I get why the writers are stalling. Georgia needed a Paul. She needed someone with prestige, protection and persuasion and trustworthy. Paul is the only man Georgia has been 70% truthful to about her past (albeit Thanks to Ginny) bc she felt like he truly deserved to know the truth which is a big deal for someone like Georgia. Paul demands more of her. He demands she be a submissive partner when need be, he demands teamwork, he demands respect, he demands she be a more responsible parent and in essence those demands are making her a truly confident woman who finally knows what its like to feel safe and secure and useful. Georgia has been used and objectified her whole life and she’s done her best with what she’s got but Paul puts faith in her to carry out more than just what her looks can provide. He actually calls her smart! The job she has at Paul’s office allows her to be professional and use her wit for good. I honestly believe Paul is building her up for Joe. As bittersweet as that may be, we know that this happens all the time in real life. We all know that if she got with Joe in season 1 or even season 2 she would run over him without even meaning to. Joe is still an insecure man and it would have been too much for him and then Georgia would have so much guilt and it would all go down the drain. Plus, I love that this set up allows for Joe to develop an organic relationship with Ginny, not a forced one bc he’s her new stepdad but bc they choose to be open and honest with one another and she feels comfortable discussing her deep feelings to Joe about her teen woes
Has anyone taken a deeper look at the relationships Georgia forcibly or purposely go in to versus the fluid and easy relationships? Why does she pursue the guys she does? Instead of the ones she can't easily manipulate?
I just want them to keep flirting but georgia is married to paul .I dk if I like paul but georgia and pauls energy is on the same level they have thier darksides. I wonder how far Paul will flow with Georgia ,its gonna be fun how will the conquer the world. Buttttt Joeeeehas gray sideees tooooo dayummmmm . Joe joe joe
