This man is an international treasure, his enthusiasm and passion for all that is shown translates so well. My cheeks began to ache from smiling for 23 minutes straight. And his ship is more of a piece of art than anything in today's modern art museums. Growing up in Bahrain I always took the bowaneesh sailing around the bays for granted, and up until just 10 years ago that sight of them navigating the shallows under the city bridges, was as normal as the sight of car traffic atop said bridges.
(bowaneesh is plural for [banoosh/بانوش], the Bahraini type of sailboat mentioned 17:00, used to this day for pearling and some fishing)
However, they too have been now plagued by the unstoppable wave of internal combustion, I'm sure there are still some ships raising their sails around the islands. Still, I so wish that someone like Mr. Gener would emerge with such passion and determination out here in Bahrain and offer not only tourists, but us the people of Bahrain, the opportunity to really feel what our grandfathers did, sailing the gulf without the drone of diesel and gearboxes.

I have enjoyed following the Wynn's since their early RV days :-). What I most appreciate are the videos that show real life happening in their RV or boat and how they handle things. These travelogue-focused videos are wonderfully done, with high production quality, but not the kind of thing I search out. For some reason I really enjoy the Wynns and their adventures, with the focus on them and their boat/RV adventures as much or more than on the National Geographic deep-dives :-). I have not wanted to say anything that would sound negative or critical so I haven't :-). But I do resonate with the comment above. Blessings All. -Ed
