How To Realign a Honda Steering Wheel Angle Sensor
Put the Honda in park and turn the engine ON.
Turn the steering wheel to the left until full lock.
Turn the steering wheel to the right to full lock.
Turn the steering wheel to the center (Wheels Straight).
Turn engine off, then restart.
Drive the Honda, and the light should go off after roughly 20-30 feet.

Thanks for the video very informative. My problem is the VSA light is not on all the time. It comes on after driving for a bit (usually under 30 minutes). But everytime i shut off the car and turn it back on the light goes away. Almost like when you shut off the car it resets itself. Any suggestions?

No, it’s been fine ever since. My accord has done 173000+ miles now. Had it since 25000 odd miles 10 years ago. Hoping it’ll keep going for a few more years
Preventive maintenance will help it do just that my favorite cars to fix
Dude ur awesome, I broke my head for a month on why my vsa light won’t go off sure enough was a blown fuse 2.3 fuse by motor was blown, unfortunately local auto part store dint have it, ordered and put it in and sure enough vsa light gone, thanks again for this informational video. 👍👍👍👍👍
On my accord, the parking brake and vsa (VSA and !) lights are on, yours got only VSA light on?

Honda says that driving the car with these lights on (VSA system not working), is not prejudicial to the car, but I confess, I’m already getting headaches, lol

@@Mrkaka376 I put more brake fluid and deleted the codes with an obd2 scanner. It was on minimal, apparently it solve the problem!
Did it yesterday and by now, no lights on, since the lights would turn on after less than a minute that the engine was running, I guess the problem is over!

What if its abs vsa and tpms lights always solid. And the speed sensors are all good fuses are good
Mine's an '09.
I went to a car wash place I had never been to before that is staffed for detail jobs and also has the conventional drive thru operation.
The guy told me to put it in park before entering.
Shortly after, my car started jerking violently.
He yelled at me to let off the brake.
I told him I didn't have my foot on the brake pedal. He said "Well your emergency brake is engaged or something because I see your brake lights on!"
I wasn't supposed to be in "Park" I was supposed to leave it in "Neutral"!
A lever that operates on a belt had come up from the pavement behind my car to roll my car forward through the carwash by easing pressure behind the rear tires!
After I left, my shifter wouldn't work and my VSA light came on.
When I pushed the button to shift gears, it wouldn't move out of the "Parked" position!
The place also had signs that they couldn't be held liable for damages!🙄
I realized there's a button under a little panel next to the gearshift and when pressed, the shifter could move but it had to be pressed and held every single time I wanted to get out of "Park".
I knew I needed to get it fixed but I put it off for a year thinking it would be very costly.
I watched one tutorial video before this one but I'm always so busy that I never got around to troubleshooting.
My vehicle inspection is due next month and I knew it wouldn't pass with that issue so I finally took it to a mechanic so I wouldn't have to fuss with it on my own.
Turns out, it was none of these fixes and the video I had watched before this one didn't mention it either so I'm glad I didn't waste my time trying to figure it out because I'm not mechanically inclined🙃
It was a brake switch that only cost $7 to replace but the mechanic had to order it and have it brought by a runner so I also got charged his $50 hourly rate for the labor but I'm just glad to finally have it resolved and that it didn't cost an arm and a leg!🥳🙌🏼
If the VSA light is on along with the break light. Put break fluid on your car, Both VSA and break light will turn off,
I did that recently and mine just came back on. And my brakes aren’t pressurizing as well. I just had the parts replaced last week.
I did as you said and changed new all wheel speed sensor. But it's still not working.
Question sir do you know what could be causing one to rev starting gear and take a lil bit to switch gear I don’t feel it’s the transmissions

For my Accord 2009 it was the steering wheel reset that was needed to clear VSA, ABS, TSA lights thank you!!
I tried the pin 4 & 9 brake pedal/VSA button reset lots of times and didn’t help

@@_lovelylacee Steering wheel all way to left, all way to right, middle. Ignition off, back on and drive away. This is what fixed it for me

Thanks for the video! I have a 2012 Accord 3.5 that has the trac, brake and abs light go on together after running about 10 minutes. Wheel speed sensors got checked today and are working. Tomorrow I'm going to follow your video for more information. I was curious as to why it takes 10 minutes for the lights to go on. Is it a check cycle it goes through every startup? I already changed my all new wheel speed sensor and brake master cylinder. But abs, vsa and brake light still not gone. Anything else for help.

@@FunwithAhadandSarina Took it to some many mechanics and they all said something different, just a chance to empty my wallet. I don't own but 2 out of 5 said it is the module and the dealers themselves told me that it'll be the module but not 100%. sorry mate can't give you any more info then I have sold the car without fixing it.

hey man great video but i have a question unrelated to this but i have a 2012 honda accord and whenever i have it in park or when the key is out of the ignition it makes a loud buzz randomly it goes off it is near the fuses and it has been going on for like 2-3 years now i haven’t taken it to anyone cause it isn’t that serious but i wonder what it is or if you have any idea

So my light comes on shortly after I start the car but if I shut off the car and restart it the light will turn off and stays off im Perplexed and just became a first time car owner and have no idea as to what may be causing it
Would these trouble shooting checks also apply to a 2007 Pilot?
I have a 09 J35 manual coupe. I get a flashing VSA, an ! and check engine -- and then the engine bogs. Turn the engine off and back on and it's fine. The code says cyl misfire, usually 5 or 6, but runs super smooth. Until the VSA light comes back on...then it will bog again. Sometimes after restart the 3 lights stay on, and it runs smooth as silk...would the VSA bork the timing a bit? While rfestarting clears the error sometimes you have to do that with the car rolling! Not a good feeling...
btw it of course does not happen when hooked to a diagnostic, no matter how long you let it idle...but when it happens the ODB codes do persist...
Hard to say what the issue could be. It might be a short causing things to go haywire, or possibly an engine issue that causes a temp power loss and the lights to come on.
@@whyingo7964 I've been fighting this dragon for 4 months. New plugs, new coil packs, suffice it to say all obvious bases have been covered. One guy said the valve isn't sealing and causing a misfire? But then why does it drive perfectly after that? can that happen? I thought a valve not sealing = bad valve.

@@snarlz had the same issue and it ended up being the cylinder head gasket.
@@joelceja8505 I ended up replacing both heads...problem solved. I don't have a leak down detector, so I'm guessing bad valve?
How do you remove the multi fuse under the hood? I've tried everything except that because i cant get it out.

I washed the car yesterday and used a strong stream of water(full setting) from the hose nozzle around the tire rims and brakes! Could this have caused the VSA and engine light to come on the following day? If so what do you recommend?
Something may have happened to one of the wheel speed sensors. I would check the wiring on each wheel speed sensor and be sure thee is no damage or bad connection. If you don't have a scan tool an automotive store can do a scan which will give a code if one of the speed sensors is an issue.
@@whyingo7964 I did the reset procedure turning the steering wheel end to end etc . The sun I think dried the water that may have seeped into the wheel sensor(s) after I washed the car as described above. Thanks!

Your youtube video was good but my VSA light is not always on. It is intermitent. It seems that when I start the car and the engine reves up to 1200-1500 RPM and stays there not dropping to the normal idle speed around 800 rpm the VSA light will turn on. I can often make it go off by turning off the car, wait 10 seconds and restart. It does not always work. Also when this occurs the engine light starts to flash. Other times I start the car and it goes to a normal 800-900 rpm idle speed the engine light stops flashing and sometimes will go off. When this happens the VSA light does not come on. Some of the error codes I got before were missfiring of cylinder 1&2. the mileage is about 144,000. Another observation was my tires were very worn so I replaced them and the VSA light stayed off for about 2 weeks of driving the car maybe 5-6 times per week.
Has anyone figured out the main cause !! I see a lot of people with the problem but no solution has worked yet!! Been at this for 2 months now !!

If the engine is having an issue it can cause the VSA light to come on, but the VSA system will not cause engine problems.

Crankshaft position sensor, new plugs & wires and fresh oil change and air filter and mine was running ok but the VSA light still pops on randomly along withe the check engine light and the car sputters and shakes then I turn it off and wait a second then start t again and VSA goes off but engine light stays on and randomly goes off and car drives perfectly fine?? I’m puzzled

@@phantom656x yeah definitely sounds like a misfire. Just happened to me. @Trenece Lee you should try to drive it to a parts store or scan it with a sensor to figure out which cylinder the misfire is happening in. I had to buy a new ignition coil from the parts store for around $40 in my area. You may need new spark plugs as well but a mechanic will tell you that.
