I think the reason people don't say Justin vs Rebeeca is the worst episode is because no one wants to talk about it. It's like a awkward interaction with a friend both of you want to forget about.
Honestly, you're probably on the money there.
Basically how the Tintin fanbase is to Tintin in the congo
I don’t know what you’re talking about. JB vs RB is constantly regarded as the worst episode of the show by a mile. I guess a lot of people don’t feel the need to express it since it’s a pretty obvious observation.
@@roboticminer8843 if you go to the video you’ll see a ton of people saying the fight is still funny and people are just being too sensitive.
@@vanguardofthevoid740 I guess I’ve just been around the parts of the community that think it’s the worst dumpster fire of the show.
So fun fact about Weiss' death...it WAS neutered, but not because of who it was. In fact, Weiss' body was going to shatter and her sword was going to break in her...remains. But after Ben's gruesome death in just one episode prior, Rooster Teeth got cold feet and asked them to scale it back.
Worst coincidence, ever. Of all time.
@@galfinsp7216 Of all *time*, huh?
@@shokvalu8819thanks for the tip
@@Snooty4835 Finally, we have completed a funny.
Which is really dumb when you keep in mind that Ben's death being gruesome isn't even what people hated about it, it was how dumb it seemed due to how slowly the scissors cut his hand off (and the outside factor of Alien X likely having resistance to those kinds of time shenanigans). We've actually had other deaths that were just as gruesome if not more so all throughout season 4 and that season is one of the best for as far as deaths are concerned.
To be as fair as possible regarding Thanos' death, I can see where they were going with it.
Thanos getting humiliated in front of his love interest, who's making out with the guy he hates more than anything who then proceeds to put him down like any random guy as opposed to the god he sees himself as to serve as a wakeup call that he's not a god is admittedly a novel concept.
With that said, though, given that it's the Omega Sanction, I agree that what we got didn't build on the idea nearly enough.
Oh for sure, I can totally see that as their intention. It just sucks how little it capitalizes on the build up we had gotten, and it managed to further tank the episode's tone by shoehorning in Deadpool. Maybe it could've worked better if that was the first time Wade showed up. At least then it'd have some shock factor going for it.
And even if that was what they were going for there had to be a better way
They could have at least had deadpool use a better weapon then a basic bitch gun.
@@RaccoonBroVA Do wanna say though, To be FAIR, Given how the comics portray their relationship, I think it would've made less sense for the death they went with to NOT include Deadpool.
NGL if Deadpool with a gun was the third of fourth death in the Sanction, like Thanos went through some horrible, gorey deaths and THEN Deadpool with a gun, implying that it’s worse than what he already went through, that would probably be way funnier.
Wow. That end speech had to have come from the heart. Fantastic work as always.
Thank you! It took many takes and sweaty sessions.
I’m not sure why Gray had to activate the Lost Iced Shell. There was snow EVERYWHERE on the battlefield
Esdeath was too strong for him no matter how much ice he ate I guess
Plus, ice only refills his magic, it doesn’t make him stronger

Great job on this. I’m glad you rectified the biggest mistake in my own video where my entire thought process was “oh people dislike this don’t they? Whatever it’s probably not that bad, I haven’t seen it in over half a decade and I vaguely remember it being okay. I guess since I don’t have any strong feelings on it, bottom of C-Tier it goes!” Well done me, really justifying those quarter million views with your incomparable wit. Never mind when I brought it up next to Shadow Vs Mewtwo and somehow came out with the negative IQ take of “well this isn’t as bad because it treats them both equally badly instead of favouring one” like genuinely how did I write that out, record it, edit it into a video and think it was a good idea to keep in?
Anyway Deadpool crushes on Ryu and that was my favourite part.
Believe me, I totally get that feeling. Once my season 9 video is made I have a lot of wonky opinions to go back and George Lucas the crap out of.

I think the death with the most missed potential was Captain Marvel's against Shazam.
I think it could have been remedied by Captain Marvel catching the final punch and trying to absorb Shazam's energy through that but it proves too much and results in the fatal explosion
Maybe it she tried to but it was more physical then magical, she’d have a “it was at this moment that she realised, she f-- up” moment for a split second.

I don't consider Beiber vs Black to be the worst episode of death battle because considering it as a proper episode of death battle is an insult to all other death battle episodes. If I WERE to consider as an actual episode, it would actively be the worst one and my least favorite. But if I didn't count it, the Boys Battle Royale would be my least favorite. If I didn't count that sponsored PoS, then Thanos vs Darkseid would be my least favorite as an actual episode of death battle. Despite Wonder Woman vs Rogue and Mai vs Chun-Li being creepy due to Boomstick's sexual comments, Beast vs Goliath, Shadow vs Mewtwo, and Aang vs Edward butchering their characters horribly, and with Shadow vs Mewtwo being a spite match, Thanos vs Darkseid was such a disappointing finale that not even some small good parts of the episode save it for me.
But what about any of you guys (including Raccoonbrosva)? What do you think is the worst episode/your least favorite episode of death battle if you didn't count Beiber vs Black or the Boys Battle Royale?
Aside from THE MISTAKE as I call it, my least favorite would probably be Rogue vs Wonder Woman. Reasoning is what you just mentioned
Shadow vs. Mewtwo, easy.
ESPECIALLY HOW WRONG THE RESULTS ARE.
Y'know that whole mind control thing?
Shadow in his own. Fucking. Game. Has been shown in his super form to be UNAFFECTED BY DEVIL DOOM'S MIND CONTROL, AND MORE RESISTANT TO IT IN HIS BASE FORM THEN ANY OF THE OTHER CHARACTERS IN THE GAME.
The entire reasoning for Mewtwo winning makes no sense!
@@door-kun721 That’sdefinitely second for me
shadow vs mewtwo for me....
It's not just because it actively spites my favorite Sonic character (ok nowadays it's probably Eggman but I'm still quite the Shadow enjoyer), but it feels like the episode does absolutely nothing good. I mean the analysis is fine, although kinda mid, but the animation is *real* bad. I know that Shadow eventually got a win back in Season 8, but this episode was still realllllly bad for me. Also ngl shadow vs ryuko was kinda eh to me, not bad or mediocre just....eh.
Ragna Vs Sol. Easy. Shadow Vs Mewtwo and Starscream Vs RD being close 2nds. All 3 are practically spite matches yeah and the other two are probably worse but since Blazblue and Guilty Gear are two of my favourite franchises of all time and I still see dumb comments like "Blazblue is convoluted nonsense" to this day it definitely pisses me off the most.
So our Christmas present is you tearing into Justin Vs Rebecca for being the worst episode in the series by a landslide?
“Never in my life have I needed something so much, and never known until I received it.”
Personally, the worst thing about Thanos vs Darkseid is that the gunshot shouldn’t have killed him. With where the blood splatter came from, Thanos got shot in the shoulder. I ain’t an expert in human biology, but I’m pretty sure a shot to the shoulder isn’t fatal
That rant at the end about JB VS RB was amazing. And absolutely true in every possible way imo.
"OH NO! Its Deadpool with a gun!"
You know, with Herc's death at #25, that means he had the least bad death, which means I'll take it!
I didn't wanna be too hard on it since it looks so freakin' cool. A lot of semantics for that one.
Regarding Gray’s death vs Esdeath, I figured that the ice from Esdeath’s thrown/severed arm completely encased Gray upon piercing him. I.e. the ice came from her magic, not Gray’s.
Possibly, but with the way it's presented it's unclear where her magic comes in and where his ends. It came off more like a normal stab than a magic one to me.
@@RaccoonBroVAactually once gray activated the lost ice shell it was already over for him he was going to be frozen no matter what, what Ezdeath did was just freeze time which mean freeze the time that gray was gonna use his ice shell however once time was over he was still going to die either way being from ezdeath stabbing in the chest or gray killing himself by using the ice shell and for the explanation the ice shell completely freeze you and your opponent and for the lost ice shell it does that while also removing all the memories from your friends
So long story short once activated the lost ice shell he was gonna die by freezing no matter what ezdeath just added more damage ig
I’m not sure how it connects to Gray’s specific spell but I feel the death was trying to reference Esdeaths fight against Akame, removing her arm to cancel out an Insta-kill move except there that’s a necessity to stop that specific move
@@Jorpda ooooohhhhh yyeeeaaaa you right you right
Best guess on boba taking predator’s arm was proof of killing him, I mean he’s a bounty hunter.
Kinda late here but honestly seeing Deku VS Asta in the honorable mentioned at least partially reminds me of how much I was disappointed by the episode, both as a big MHA fan and someone who's admittedly still very early in Black Clover but still enjoying it. Always confused why they seemed to mock Deku so much in the end with the family guy death pose, one of the swords up his butt, and the death itself being kinda overkill since he already died from overexertion.
Overall it just feels like a couple of eh jokes in place of what could've been a really sweet and emotional ending for the two (-almost like a slightly better version of Ed VS Aang-). Even Hercule doesn't fully save it for me since while I like the callback, not as big a fan of Dragon Ball or his fight like so many are.
26:33-26:36 I keep repeating this part. It's so funny. I love TFS.
"Before magically grappling his hook around Captain America's neck to Sayori him" followed by the Randy quote.
Subbed.
46:00, good grief, that’s the most extreme anger of something I’ve ever seen
Bucky had to weaken Jason's helmet. That's why he was able to crush it at the end. At least, that's what they said on the DB cast. Can't excuse the light going out and still being on in the next shot though
Agree with both sides.
Sounds like how people explain John Wick's death.
"He got shot with a chaingun 600 times and the 600th shot was exactly as many as were needed to make his armor weak enough for James' dinky pistol to go through it at multiple different points."
Honestly I really like the way you script these lists, the transitions especially make me trying to guess what could possibly be next. Also it's just pretty funny, like the most random clips such as the episodes being Thanos'd had me losing it. Again you're a super underrated youtuber like I genuinely hope you gain more views, I definitely look forward to seeing whatever content you plan on posting next.
also oh heck that hyper rant at the end kinda scared me- super true though
46:22 My god he's fucking losing it entirely!
As someone who has watched all of Fairy Tail and most of the spin-off sequel… I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA.
The best Christmas gift from you, fitting with the number in the title.
Not counting number 1, my least favourite death is from Bowser VS Ganondorf. Not only was it done through an ability that was not discussed in the analysis, the main justification for Bowser (barring Ganondorf being immune to anything other than holy weapons, which is only a slightly less subtle way to say "this was a rigged match" than having it written on a neon sign instead of KO) losing was due to the "super lava" from NSMB which killed him. Ignoring the fact that... Bowser wasn't really dead despite having his flesh melted, as the bony version was still capable of fighting and this was before Dry Bowser started being treated as a separate character. Speaking of Dry Bowser, it's clearly a different artstyle than regular Bowser, which makes the death scene even more jarring.
In my interpretation of the killing blow in Gray vs Esdeath is that they compared Gray's cold resistance to Tatsumi in the manga, who had difficulty resisting her time stop, so because of this difference in cold resistance, she was capable to completely freezing Gray and stopping the lost ice shell completely. The issue here is that is was portrayed so badly that myself and I believe fans of both series' don't know what the hell they were trying to show. Gray vs Esdeath is literally one of the worst episodes in the entire show and the only thing I like about it is the track.
I know right, Gray is more cold resistant than Tatsumi since he trained the cold shirtless and he survived way worse ice attacks. This episode is so dissappointing
Another problem I have with the death of Thanos is the fact that I don't believe that the gunshot would actually kill him
Honestly, that’s true. Even without the infinity gauntlet, Thanos is still more powerful than a regular gun.
Yeah, no way an Eternal would die from a gunshot.
That's one of the few problems it DOESN'T have.
Darkseid humiliating Thanos is the point; having Thanos die endlessly and pathetically within a pocket-dimension / dreamscape Darkseid has full control over, is certainly a fitting way to humble the self-proclaimed 'god'.
Though don't get me wrong, the creative idea doesn't save this death from its overall poor execution.
Once again, I get to see a glimpse of your season 9 review.
I honestly REALLY love ultron vs sigma. The fight choreography was actually pretty good, the music (infection perfection) was incredible and the death was incredibly unique, 9/10.

Spinel Vs. Elastagirl When?
Honestly the only reason I wouldn't put Rebecca Black vs Justin Beiber as the worst episode in my opinion is usually I forget that it happened so I wouldn't think about it until its brought up. The main reason I don't really think about it and forget it happened was because at the time I was one of those people who hated them for no reason (someone actually asked me why and I couldn't come up with a valid answer). So at the time I liked it, then as I grew up and realized I just hated them because that was what was popular to do, just sort of forgot about it. It was only really videos like this and Biff Weed's that made me realize it wasn't just meh but actually bad. The other episodes I consider bad actually left me with a negative reaction, made me annoyed, at the time of its release I enjoyed it and then just sort of forgot as I grew up and moved past it. It is the worst episode legit though as its the only one that is actually mocking and making fun of real people (which makes the analysis bad and the fight sucked either way). No matter how shit any other episode is, its fictional characters so its just you getting annoyed that your preferred character lost or was misrepresented, this is targetting actual existing people. Just that I only really think about how bad it is recently so it hasn't left an impact like say Captain America vs Batman or Tracer vs Scout so I can readidly say "I don't like these episodes", if you mentioned Black vs Beiber I'd go "Oh yeah...they really did do that..in the same season where they wanted to avoid hurting little girls..ironic..and hypocritical."
If I may put my two cents into the honorable mentions here, I think the best death from vaporization would be the Dragonzord death in Mechagodzilla (a.k.a Kiryu) vs. Dragonzord. It's been a while since I've seen the fight, but boy was it absolutely fun to the end.
Agreed.
Breaking an iced opponent to pieces with a blade? Seen it a hundred times before.
Shattering them into tiny frozen dust just a ROAR? You can't get much more epic than that!
In RD vs SS episodes defense, it was a season 1 episode, so its not shocking they'd try a unique way of elimination.
2. Incapication has been used in the future as a way to KO an opponent, like Sigma vs Ultron, Nd like this fight, that one resulted in a fate worse than death, which the reason they decided to go with the Episode.
While not a permanent death, Starscream would have no ways to return to an actually body to use, the most tech ponyville has is a Sowing machine.
Thats the reason the 2nd QnA they ever did explains it.
Is it a good death? For season 1, I consider it the most creative death of the season.
I've been waiting a long time for this one.
Okay, gotta say that Ragna vs. Sol really should've been on here.
It seems like a boring disintegration, right?
Wrong.
IT IS A MASSIVE FUCK YOU TO BLAZBLUE CANON.
One. Ragna cannot, and I can't stress this enough, cannot turn into the Black Beast by himself. That's not how the Black Beast works! The Black Beast is a fusion of Ragna with Nu in very specific circumstances, meaning that it shouldn't have appeared, and even if it didn't, the reasoning why Ragna goes Black Beast is just so fucking stupid that it's inane. He's not that petty to unleash a WORLD ENDING TERROR just because he got stabbed near the groin! This is complete and utter character assassination and ignorance of BlazBlue's plot.
Now, then, you have the Black Beast. Fine. Whatever,. He shouldn't be here, but come on, this would be a really good opportunity for a super flashy showdown with one of the most destructive beings in BlazBlue lore, right?
NOPE! HE GETS ONE SHOT BY SOL TRANSFORMING INTO HIS FINAL FORM WITH ONE BORING ASS ATTACK! AT LEAST GUTS VS NIGHTMARE HAD COOL BUILDUP AND SORTA MADE SENSE WITH THE REASONING! THIS IS JUST
stupid!
Genuinely, what the fuck were they thinking? This is easily in my top 10 worst kills of the show just for how much of a fuck you it is to BlazBlue and to good kills.
Sorry for rambling, but god, the bad BlazBlue research seeps into the animation a lot.
Not to mention THE BLACK BEAST"S ENTIRE DEAL IS FUCKING BEING INVINCIBLE TO ALMOST EVERYTHING, SOL ONE SHOTTING IT IS SO STUPDI????
Just. God. I don't think you're a BlazBlue fan, so I can get why you wouldn't put it on the list, since most of the issues with this death really don't show up unless you know the source material and how badly it gets it wrong, but I really think it should've been on there. Disrespect? Check. Violating canon? Check. Not even being an interesting kill to begin with? Check! It's just...infuriating to me, and my favorite character in fiction when he was on this show got killed by a fucking spoon, and the fact that this makes me MORE mad then that despite me hating Shadow vs Mewtwo much more is really telling!
The whole episode was a middle finger to BlazBlue lore. It's like they didn't pay attention to the story or didn't feel like researching, thus the god awful analysis.

9:34 when they fix this episode everyone will stop complaining, considering this episode has the most dislikes out of any episode, and for good reason, the downplay, the fact they used composites, so all weaknesses apply, so the green lantern they used is also weak to the color yellow. I’m not getting into more of it, kuro the artist did a much better job than I ever could. Unfortunately that fix, will most likely never happen sadly.

This is a list I mostly agree with, even with some of the death battles I haven't seen (specifically Sun vs Hercules) I couldn't agree more with your picks.
Also thank you for reminding me of Weiss's lackluster death. Despite it being a decent battle with good lines and sequences, that kill that was so awful when I've seen that finisher done before in BlazBlue Cross tag and it looks so cool! (pun not intended)

I still don’t get why Starscream VS Rainbow Dash is actually liked by the community compared to Mewtwo VS Shadow when they’re WAY more blatant about treating Starscream like shit, at least they didn’t plan to discard that episode if they thought Shadow won!

As a Transformers fan, never bothered me, largely because...Well, frankly, at least in the original cartoon, being a cowardly moron with an ego large enough to hold its own gravity who takes constant deserved abuse feels fitting for Starscream. No, actually. The most is that Natsu has stopped Gray from using it about three times (the first two in Gray’s primary arc, and the last one in the final arc), and there were no negative consequences.
The first time was Natsu basically telling him to not throw away his life so casually (looks critically at Death Battle).
The second time was a few episodes later when the demon that was previously frozen by Iced Shell broke out, so Gray figured a repeat was necessary. But Natsu pointed out that being frozen for so long weakened the demon to the point that Natsu casually obliterated it in one punch.
The last time was against Zeref, and Gray now had Lost Iced Shell. Natsu slammed his head into the ground and basically said, “We had this conversation already!!”, and Gray retreated.

Do you ever think about remastering your old death battle videos?
I forgot the Justin vs Rebecca episode existed
I agree with the list, but not Deku vs. Asta as an honorable mention. I think that the death itself is really cool, and even though it might be out of character for Asta, he may think that Deku is still alive and wants to make sure that he dies and doesn't come back from his hits like the rest of the fight.
Also really good vid, the editing was amazing and I laughed a lot. I hope you get to do more of these types of vids.
Thanks for watching!
Looking cool is no longer enough for me to like an episode on this show. As flashy as it was it felt very detrimental to Asta's personality and not very flattering to Deku as a whole. Plus Asta has a ki sensing ability that lets him tell if people are alive, and I don't think he likes killing as long as he can avoid it. I know death is supposed to happen, but season 9 has proven death can come about in in-character ways.
@@RaccoonBroVA I did not know that Asta had that ability. That makes it super weird that he killed Deku then. Thanks for letting me know.
@@9for1gaming6 No problem, again, thanks for watching!
To explain the Lost Ice Shell thing, it's explained in Fairytale that the move actually turns the user INTO the ice that ends up getting used, it doesn't just sacrifice the user to be the ice, it sacrifices the user to make the ice. This is why his ice is still there because he already partly IS ice.
Isee. But what about how stabbing him got Esdeath out of it?
@@RaccoonBroVA Oh I have no fucking idea I've never seen her show.
@@RaccoonBroVAWell... We didn't see Esdeath being incapacitated in a fight and winning (in fact, I believe she only fought Akame in Akame ga Kill, to begin with), so I too have no idea how she was able to break out from the ice!
I feel like Star screen vs rainbow dash couldve had the option to end in a draw, like he stops caring and just leaves, or something like that
I've never even heard of that last one. That happened?
What makes Aang's characterization worse in that episode is how they got Aang right thoughout most of the fight. Fighting defensively, showing care when he thinks he killed Ed on accident the first time, and trying to defuse the situation
45:52 damn, and I thought Da Devil from Da Bible had a big blowup I mean holy shit
Nate needs a nap
Honestly, I dislike Pit’s death. Partly because of bias because he’s in my top three video game characters and partly because the rest of the battle was awesome!
Y’know it’s kinda ironic that a series like mortal kombat has some of the lamest deaths in the series
14:20 Yeah, Puck is free happy chems
I am surprised Flash vs Quicksilver isn't on here, when you talked about season 3, I thought you would talked about it for sure. The cool speed force scene followed by a lame ending where the loser dies on accident. I personally thought it was kinda dumb. Cool vid though
The speed force scene was enough to save it, and Goku Black vs Reverse Flash makes it retroactively funnier.
Thanks for watching!
Regarding the Excalibur vs Raiden honorable mention, I don't see how the death could have been better off besides cutting both of Raiden's arms off and then
1. having Excalibur perform a finisher with his parazon
2. Crush Raiden by calling a necramech where he stood.
3. Go the comic route and obliterate him with an archgun
4. Kill him off with a nikana finisher.
And all of these would have gone similar to the Amy Rose vs Ramona Flowers fight with the kill dragging on to what may not have been a satisfying finish.
I have my choices for the bottom 3 of Season 10.
The Chosen Undead, Phoenix / Jean Grey, and Megatron. (Dishonorable mention: Unicron)
what’s the song at 41:42 ?
Even though I've been a fan of DB since I believe around season 2(Thor vs. Raiden had just come out) I'm glad the one episode I never watched when I binged the brief history of the series up to when I first started watching was Justin vs. Rebecca. The clips in this video are the only interaction I've ever had with it because I always knew it would be just gross, meme-y, and mean spirited.
Ngl I always remembered Romona vs Amy as a one minute melee episode
I was surprised it was a real death battle lmao
While it was still stupid, it is kinda a meme that Grey resorts to Iced Shell/Lost Iced Shell with shockingly little provocation. He's just alwalys stopped BEFORE he can activate it in tge show.
Alright….Amazing video obviously that’s a first, second for she-ra vs Wonder Woman
It’s a very bad diet Balrog vs tj combo finisher
Point 1: the winning character gets put on the back foot
Point 2:the winning character gets a power up that completely turns the table
Point 3:the kill is a decapitation
Point 4:the head pops off
No joke, when I first watched Deku VS Asta, I thought the shot of Asta falling was of his decapitated head, instead of his entire body.
I was obviously proven wrong when he got back up with his whole body intact (albeit with some scars) a few seconds later.
Also, I'm under the impression that Asta didn't know that Deku was dead at the end of the episode, as Deku was pretty high up, so it'd be hard to tell that he was already dead.
Idk, I'm not a Black Clover fan, so maybe he has some power that can allow him to tell if someone is dead or not. Not like I give a shit, anyway.
Asta has ki sensing, so he absolutely should've known he was dead.
The list was strong until War Machine and Iron Man’s fights were called bad
This video isn't about my thoughts on the fights, just the death scenes. And I like Iron Man's episodes, what do you mean?

I gently open the door
Stev-
They are OK some of them are unfair but they are fine enough
