- In This Video, I will give my honest review of one of the worst anime of the Winter 2023 Season. My content is satire in nature and while it may sound like I disliked the anime it's mostly bad jokes. I will be talking about what makes it one of the most popular anime of the season ... by insulting everything about it. Season 1 of this anime was released on Jan 7, 2023. This anime will probably not be renewed for another season. There is no manga or light novel since this is an anime original. This video contains Major spoilers so be aware if you plan on watching the anime. This anime is not currently available in the English dub.

I feel bad for the whole bloodline who had to live their whole lives with last name "the already dead"
I think the naming system is a lot different from ours here, they don't seem to be inherited, and it seems like it can be changed on the fly

It is said that they get more than one second name as they go through their lives. And from my understanding it is used more like a nickname than last name. The last episode i watched the crew decided to give the main girl a second name.
A very apt one for the ones that are, indeed, dead
to explain when you are born you are giving a child name. When you are deem as an adult youare giving a adult name. You also change your name when you are giving up on your past. So you go from a child name like pebble to boulder as an adult.
"The Already Dead" is the dumbest title given to any designated badass. Even if it were used in a comedy I'd probably roll my eyes for how obvious the punchline would be
When LunarEquinox called him already dead I straight up assumed it was a joke about how he was a disposable character, I didn't think that's what the show would call him to.
tbf even the background characters on the first ep call him out on how dumb the name is

I've never been able to look at these types of nicknames the same way since I learned that, in the US military at least, they're pretty much all dumb in-jokes or relate back to something embarrassing.

I dropped this anime after the first two episodes and actually, I think I made the right choice.

the world building and lore is actually interesting, but man, they really messed up that potential.
Yeah I watched the entire season because of the fantasy(?) world with the sci-fi aesthetic.
The beasts are really interesting, their functions all look artificial and technological, for example that huge pig at the first episode eating crystals with drill tendrils, then it looks like its smelting or refining the food in its stomach to power something on its back, from what I see, those beasts definitely can't evolve naturally, and they certainly have to be created by someone or something.
The ships from humans all look high-tech, I'm guessing it's because they have access to strange materials from beasts and are capable of using it to make some complicated stuff.
The final village they're in seems like they have complex magical technology of some sort, and if I were to make sense of it, I'd guess that their magic has something to do with utilizing 4-dimensional space or something similar.
It's pretty clear they're doing an "any advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" kinda thing, and they'll probably show more about where all the tech came from if this has a continuation.
Yeah. They wasted its potential really bad. It's like Fena Pirate Princess all over again where it took time building up the world just to waste it in the last minute. It would be better if this was 24 episodes show.

the powers of the clones had something to do with wanting to kill or be killed so im pretty sure her powers weren't working because she doesn't want to kill her deep inside or smth, then the nuking that came afterwards was obviously due to deep brainwashing

I saw the show and thought it deserved a 6/10, but after this useful commentary, I'm going to have to increase my score to 9/10.

Heard good things about the first episode back when the season started. Was considering giving it a watch, but thanks for giving me a fun vid and stop me from wasting my time!

Is it weird I feel kind of sorry for the studio IF guys? Their shows are always complete trash, but there’s definitely some talented people working on the video game side of things, especially Neptunia when you get rid of all the fanservicy shit
But isn’t that the point of Neptunia, I don’t know much about it but I seen some of the game so it looks like it’s meant to be a fanservice series

I've only played Fairy Fencer F. The Evil Goddess riute strongly implies it takes place in the far future after the Neptunia series and in a separate dimension. Cool secret premise, but it felt incompletely utilized. Were the other Eryns ever explained? Perhaps the nonexistent budget limited too much. My 1-game opinion of them is a bit worse than neutral. Also, the engine doesn't feel decently optimized. I have an opinion and free time to share it at Wendy's

This anime was so bad that it actually got me pissed,the main girl of a wholesome romcom from this season has the same voice as 22 and just hearing her voice at first pissed me off lol
I appreciate the MC using a spear I've too many sword users but Spear users are getting a little bit more prevalent
in the beginning there was fire, earth, water, and air everything was fine for 100 years until the anime reviews attack
I watched Inu-Kai and didn’t think it was that bad considering how other degen anime can become cess pools. But then again I’m into watching hentai and don’t see too much wrong with many of them. I see them as artworks and drawings and animations and can’t relate to others that see them as more than that.

I recently found a really good anime from between 2005 to 2006 it's called "Solty Rei". And it's gotta be one of the best anime I've ever watched that has almost everything good about it the storytelling the dialog the writing the English dub. The characters Are done really well nothing is overdramatic like every action they do just fits so well David we're saying how the Lord and details weren't even part of the story A little 4th wall breaking every once in a while in the beginning but it's just done so well I don't even know if there's any enemy that comes close especially in the modern day. What happened to story writ's just gone down hill and I don't even know when it started going down hill. But this anime is like a masterpiece.

While I agree about the plot holes, the anime was pretty entertaining. It also reminds me of SukaSuka (or What will you do at World's End? Will you help us?), which also uses child magical suicide bombers to fight giant monsters.

the plot twist that they were secretly some kind of important powerful force was pretty cool until they show them merging just to be the machina part of the deus ex machina in the end

I don't believe Ars is a worse anime than the Isekai with One Shot Big Sister for this season, that shit made me mald so hard and my friend forced me to watch the first 3 episodes of that garbage when I was visiting
This show was a mess of ideas and time literally comes to a standstill wen u watch lunar sama explains that way better than me in the video the animation is nice character design is nice but the story is complicated it felt like they wanted to combine many ideas
Man, does this anime have tons of problems with its story. Admittedly, I was interested to see a different kind of fantasy anime and stuck around for the story concept (and I have to admit, I did like the action here or there and the animation was generally alright). Honestly, had it been better executed and given 20 episodes instead of 12, it might've been pretty decent. As is, it's not the worst I've seen, but it's just "eh."

Yeah that anime was a big disappointment. The first few episodes were quite good (even if Kumi is a dumbass) but after that it just became a boring monster of the week type of show.
I dropped it halfway through and considering whether I should go back to finish it, I'm glad I saw that vid before wasting my time.

This anime looked like it needed like 5-6 seasons in order to be rightfully developped. the world, the races, the relation between the characters, the f**king intrigue with cat girl being a godess apparently.
I mean this anime looked like he introduced a lot of things but couldn't even develope at least one of them. In 13 episodes it was freaking impossible.

The only reason I gave this anime a watch is because I thought it could fill the gaps left by "To the Abandoned Sacred Beast" since the premise looks similar initially (big monsters, fantasy world). I regretted watching this.
