I'm speaking as someone with cerebral palsy, and I remember when Donald Trump mocked a news reporter with a disability like mine. I was taken back then, but it wasn't anything like this. He's talking about his own nephew with a disability now. How can anyone get behind this guy who wants to take us back to a time when individuals were either home in the back room or in institutions with poor living conditions. We can't reelect him again.
We had trump as president for 4 years and he did not push for any of this. Also just because you have a disability it does not mean you are beyond reproach and Trump did not make fun of the reporter’s disability. It’s these sorts of lies and gaslighting that will see trump elected again.

A far more better man in every way than his uncle. A real man who not only takes care of his disabled son, but also advocates for those like him, either mentally and/or physically disabled, and their families.
Thank you, to Fred Trump. His story needs to be heard. What really crushed me was when I heard that his Uncle told him that he should just let his son die. Having worked with disabled children and adults, that is not only cruel, but despicable. dj tRUMP says he’s a Christian. Well that is the least Christian thing not just to say to the parent. Some of my students with disabilities were the most courageous, intelligent and generous individuals I was privileged to work with.

Two, he got a phone call from him in the Oval Office? So he was still in contact with him during all that nasty behaviour he witnessed leading up to DT presidency. It’s hard with families, trying to unlearn dysfunctional behaviours and manage relationships so I’ll give him grace. But I’ll definitely take what he says with a grain of salt, he’s probably doing the book for his child.
At the time of his sister Mary writing her first book, Fred publicly distanced himself from the effort, citing his closeness with his uncle @Ne55y . For him to acknowledge Mary's book would be a complete about face as he's promoting his own project. Just for context, Mary worked for their uncle for a while and said said that he would come to their house sometimes where she witnessed the interactions between her dad and uncle. I think something happened where Fred has lost whatever infusions of cash and benefits he was receiving from the Trump family, so now he's decided to cash in.

I'm a white mom of an adopted brown daughter who has intellectual and developmental disabilities, and of a biological son with the same who did die from complications of cancer at 11 years old. Conald wants to institute eugenics reminiscent of 1939 Germany. Donald would have wished both my children die rather than thrive. Fred you get a pass - you're doing the right thing now. Thank you. There are so many families who are living the same life as you.

That part about his father wanting a be an airline pilot and the grandfather's disapproval reminds me of a conversation I had a with a college peer, we were in college studying IT, on career day this guy asked about What would it take to be a train conductor.
