  • Our first ever attempt to cross the Channel didnt end well but persitance pays as we finally cross to Alderney and Guernsey on Kimara, our Beneteau 323.

    Fantatsic trip! I am planning my own channel island adventure this summer so great to see some of the pilotage for real. I was half thinking of heading to Cherbourg first rather than a narrower tidal window at Bray, but you seem to have timed things beautifully!

      Thanks - It wasnt quite as scary as we'd imagined but preparation definitely helped. I think we'll try Cherbourg this coming year as well. Fair winds

    Hi, great video and such a shame about the line in the 1st go. What was the name of the pilotage book you mentioned for the Chanel islands ? Thanks

      Hi - we used the North Brittany and Channel Islands Crusing Companion by Peter and Jane Cumberlidge. It seems to be the main authority for this section. Thanks a lot for the feedback.
