When players send me an email without a highlight video the first thing I ask is do they have a highlight video.
If the grammar is bad I just delete it. I get a ton every day and you'd be surprised how many emails are poorly written.

@@sanjarsocool it needs to be clean, not from a phone. You need to show you put in the time and care about your product (aka video). You're promoting yourself so it shouldn't look like crap. I've made my players correct their highlight videos up to four times before I agreed it was good enough for me to send to coaches at the next level.
This is actually a very similar email to what helped me get recruited! I agree with everything in this video. Making the email specific to that school, displaying your academics, and having a highlight video will catch the coach’s eye and separate you from everyone else. The worst that can happen if you send an email is that you don’t get a response or they say that they’re not interested so it doesn’t hurt you to try in anyway if you’re doubting yourself!

Hi Matt, sorry to bother you, but I have a serious question. Both my high school and club coaches have written me letters of recommendation for the schools which I'm interested in playing for. I know this is gonna sound like a dumb question, but would it be better for me to send the letters to the college coach once I receive it from my high school or club coach, or would it be better if they (the coaches) send them directly to the college coach themselves? Thanks again, I'm a huge fan of your work. Keep it up man and keep believing. I know you'll recover soon and come back even better.

If there are multiple coaches as in a head coach and assistant coaches... which one should I send an email too? Only considering the head coach May have less time then a assistant coach ?
Also, I’m a 2006 boy that made the 06 boys ODP A team for the west regional National championship in the beginning of my second year ever playing Club soccer. Do you think that when I contact the coaches of schools I would like to attend (I plan to do this at the end of my freshman year) I should make a strong case for why they should really pay attention to me because I am a young player (8th Grader) who is developing by really fast?

One time, I emailed like 5 different colleges to come to watch one of my games for my club team during senior year. All 5 coaches came to watch me play lol. This was probably the most awkward moment I've had in my life because I didn't know at the time which one I should have approached or talked to

Brooooo I’m only 6 days older than you haha. Born on the same month and year sick!
So I play once in a while on Sundays. So one day I was playing and the guys were just trying too hard and I was just catching on all of their mistakes lol. Anyway I scored like 5 goals that day. So after I leave I realize a car from the field was in traffic when I was crossing the road. It was a scout telling me about a semi pro team in NYC that would like a player like me to play with them. I wasn't aware a scout was there or anything I just played like I did and the guys knew someone was there and was messing up. Anyway I told the guy I'm not a player. I just do it for fun and I love the sport

Keanu Mansour, They’re a team, they play as a team, they win and lose as a team, and they lose as a team. They don’t need a Ronaldo or Messi to score all their goals. They score as a team, and always will. They have a really good group of guys this year, and I’m very proud of everything the Roughnecks community has accomplished this year.
Usually club seasons at the amateur level aren’t very long in the US. Only a few months outside of the high school season.
So depending on how many tournaments Matt’s team played in, he might have only played 15-20 games or so the entire season. It’s nowhere near as many games as a professional team plays during the season.
