In Iranian Mythology, the Azhdaha is an equivalent of a dragon. It also saids that whoever can defeat the beast will be granted unlimited powers just by eating its heart.
That certainly explains her dialogue and the “reward” for beating her.
This creature and the word "azhdaha" (meaning "dragon") came to Volga region and Central Asian Turks under Persian influence.
And the word azhdaha, is short for the Zoroastrian evil deity known as the azhi dahaka. Dahaka was the sand monster in warrior within..
@@jamesmetallica115 Azhdaha, or specifically Azhi Dahaka, is just one of Ahriman's (Angra Mainyu's) strongest corruptions of creation, as Ahriman is thought to be incapable of creation and can only corrupt that which already exists.

I spent this entire fight trying to land the Vengeful Counter on her. I could have won the fight a few times, but opted to die until I got it. Eventually I managed to time it while also having it be the finishing blow. Immensely satisfying.

Yeah btw those nuclear bombs can be absorbed into your Vergil Dimension and thrown back... That dimensional slash is literally the most OP power in the entire game ... It consumes everything, Arrows, Attacks, it fucking swallows Enemies Whole! And throws them back as your minions!!
Shadow of the Simurgh is even more OP...you can almost never really die with clever usesage of that skill. Powerful enemy? Shadow of the Simurgh. Hard to counter and nearly impossible to Dodge? Shadow of the Simurgh! Make a mistake when plattforming? You get the drill!
This was the hardest boss for me because I suck at the dimensional claw and air dodging. Took around 15-20 attempts. Just got all the energy bars and health amulets I could find to tank the hits. Even Menolias was easier than this once I swapped out my athra surges.
Your athra attack in the empty air got me laughing. Also, for Azhdaha, use Shabaz.
Use dimensional shift on the exploding orbs. When you shoot Azhdaha with it, it takes a lot of health.

I got a voice acting background and have to say that Yuri Lowenthal's voice has been such an inspiration for me since the Prince of Persia Trilogy. His performance in Spidey 2 is also amazing. If you got a second, I highly recommend watching the The Two Thrones cutscenes.The vocal training was really tough, sometimes without noticeable results for months but actors like him and the late Kevin Conroy are a great impulse to not give up. You almost saw me as Leon in those new RE games :)

At least this was not as cruel as Kiana or Verm .Still I enjoy fighting this snake remind of another gaint snake boss form a different game.

Bosses in thos game keep getting harder to beat. I defeated Kratos today. His fighting pattern was freaking scary. Now I have to take Melianos...Melinaos...the archer.
Also catch one red orb in your claw ability and shoot back at snake

It does, the tail isn’t parry able but if you dodge it she swings with her head and you can parry that one

There's a reason Dalamadur's variant is named Shah Dalamadur ;)
There are also many different types of Dragons in Iranian myth. There are those that dwell in the lower ground (snakes), those that dwell in mountain ranges and other high altitudes (you standard big lizard with wings type), those that swim in the oceans (which are thought to be by far the largest), and those that "swim" in the sky (similar to chinese dragons).
Then there's Azhi Dahaka (Zahhak). The king of the world that turned out to actually be a three headed dragon, after having eaten enough young brains and bathed in their blood enough times ofc.

man fromsoft's bosses are hard but fair. these are very unfair bosses.
Beat this boss on second try thanks to 4 health portions and twice upgraded swords. But even without all that, I'm pretty sure all attacks can be dodged, making a no damage run possible. The red bombs can be absorbed and shot back at her, as someone else mentioned. What is unfair about this boss?
@@themaxtails ya i beat it too. but i dunno. doesnt feel the same levelling up to beat the boss feel which fromsoft gives
wdym you can easily beat this boss by practicing to dodge. sounds like a skill issue to me
