I want Bighead's life. He's the biggest winner out of the gang lmao.
He has no idea, though lol
And he wasn't even playing the game :D

Seriously tho I love/hate him so much 😂🤣
gilfoyle and dinesh did well.

Sam Cavanagh At the end they did but he was very tight with everyone at first.

I didn't see it as depressing at all, they all remained friends and after all, created the best AI in history lol

Monica took the thumb drive and NSA has it.
Can't shake the feeling that she had something to do with Laurie being in prison.
Yup that's the first thing that popped in my head too.
So is this a theory or a fact?
@@HouserProductionsLLC Theory
Either Gilfoyle took it and destroyed it or Monica took it to the NSA people who're saying Jian Gang are wrong because that would make their sacrifice pointless, he was never even trusted, he would have never even known about it he probably flew to Tibet as soon as Richard said where eric is he probably didnt come back
More.likely something Monica will and can do
We would never know I guess, unless somebody breaks down this in a reaction video

He shows early symptom of dimentia
Sad for Richard after so many accomplishment,he became a professor of gavin Belson's tethics😨
It's the most fitting ending because He was ultimately the most ethics minded person of the group and did the most righteous sacrifice when the time came (which judging by other people's comments is not something everyone would do, and thats frankly kinda scary). .. Richard was the ultimate soldier on the path of fighting the good fight, and the point of the whole "Tethics" thing is that in a world where Tech has emerged as arguably the most powerful and certainly the most world changing industry, the fate of the world DESPERATELY needs it to be an ethical one
@@ralphfraz Jared was the most ethical person in the group.
@@allnamesaretakenful Yup Jared's the most ethical but he isn't afraid to catch a case. He was state-raised lol.
Not really, in fact in the Tethics episode, Richard agrees with everything in Tethics and states he came up with a lot of them but he hates the fact it's Gavin Belson's. If anyone should be a Technical Ethics professor it's Richard
Ralph Fraz which it is not one bit
they didn't throw the last season in the garbage like GOT
Well they didn't rush the show to end to work on another show (which ended up being canceled anyway) and plus the writers palnned this from the beginning and didn't want to drag the plot out. But yes they didn't throw the show like game of thrones.

It's such a heartbreaking season finale. All 6 seasons for everything and... Nothing.
Yes its so sad :(
@Sulagno Ghosh weird comparison. Not even close lol.
This SV finale explained their "failure" through good story telling. Himym... I don't know if I could say the same lol
Azeem Topiwala not heart breaking but perfect. Everyone got closure and it was so awkwardly funny. The best part, it’s was all for nothing 😂
I really loved how it ended. It was a journey of friends who did end up saving the world. They’re not multi-billionaires who have it all, but life’s not about that. They have each other and that’s ok. Plus, they’ll always have ALWAYS BLUE
They literally tech soprano’ed us lol
Imagine sweating tears for half a decade, and being on the cusp of reaping the rewards, only to throw it all away to save the world.
If I were in their position, I dont know if I could do it.
i know for sure i wouldn't
Call it madness but the ending was perfect !
Not the ending we hoped for and definitely not the ending they deserved but it was the ending that HAD to be for the betterment of the world
They did right
You would pick up the pieces and continue on. Exactly what they did :)
Fuck humanity... i would have done it
What's funny is Richard did the tethical thing.
Gilfoyle hugged Jared ❤️
You didn't really have to make the ending that sad
Right!!!
Completely pointless and didn't make any sense. Everything was going great then it all AT THE LAST MINUTE suddenly another issue, and now rather than trying to fix it like they did before, they just immediately give up.
@@shadowkiller0071 ?? where you paying any attention, they didn't give up at all!! they made the hardest decision, which was to take down the software that they had been building in order to Save the world. Richard's character is someone who's definition of success isn't financial, hence he DID succeeded, as he built the greatest network the world has ever seen, it was just so good that the world couldn't handle it, therefore they had to take it down. Richard is an engineer NOT a money driven tech tycoon. The only "fix" they could've done was to do nothing and let the AI destroy privacy but then be able reap the benefits of their creation, they made the ethical choice. The ending is bitter sweet, yes their company didn't find the monetary successes they hoped it would, but Richard was able to find success and the others now seem somewhat content so I think it feels realistic.
@@elongatemuskatorus6694 Thanks, man. Your comment deserves a thousand likes.
@@elongatemuskatorus6694 Its not realistic at all, The idea that a AI can crack any encryption standard so quickly is laughable. All it really means is that the AI has been able to solve some really complicated mathematical problems, such as factorization.
If that is the case, you can just move onto other complicated mathematical problems that the AI cannot solve to encrypt you data.
Tbh though, nobody is sure if it is even solvable in a classical manner if that is the case no AI will ever be able to solve it using classical computers.
This has already happened to some degree. Quantum computers can theoretically factor numbers really quickly (look up Shor's algorithm). But other solutions where put forward that not even quantum computers can fix.
The final episode was rather Hollywood, which is disappointing because they got so much right up until now.
Well the theme of the series was nobody could stop pied piper except these guys themselves
This is a beautiful point of view to fix my depression after watching this
We won.

well spotted and thanks for pointing this out. i am less sad now.
First off, Dinesh and Gilfoyle are the best couple. Second off, I'm glad John got a nice job. Third off, does Jared ever age?

I was thinking more of a Richard Stallman cameo

Not a single soul:
Gilfoyle: *glares at camera*
"Pound met double zero and title icks" had me in splits 😂😂
The ending is sad, you gotta admit.
And Jing Yang stole Pied Piper.
yup, i felt very bad for richard and team, they worked 6 years on this project for nothing..
Digonto Zahid id say the same thing too if I were in the 4 comma club
@Digonto ZahidGilfoyle became an alcoholic, Eric is probably dead, Richard works for his biggest enemy and Monica doesn`t seem to be happy either.
@Digonto Zahid maybe dinesh became better version of himself, richard was always ethical. remember when he turned down the deal when he faked user no's and burned his company to the ground same can be said for jared, gilfoyle and monica..
there is quite similarity in Jon snow and richard. both end up at the same place they were before. jon snow at the watch and richard under gavin tethics.
Is it part of the joke that Monica never age?
Jared pretty much looked the same too
the guy who is in programmers are age early, that is why other than programmer (other than dinesh, gilfoyle, richard, bighead) is not aging. thats the joke

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found the resident girl's ignorance about Pied Piper heartbreaking... After all they've been through, they didn't even get recognition.
If anyone knew about the dangers of Pied Piper, they would all be in prison with Laurie
@@UnderMyUnderwear69 yeah.. they spent 6 years of their lives to basically build an atom bomb for computer data without even realizing it ... saddddddd
That just shows how technology, or any other trend for that matter, quickly fades. Especially in the valley where new technologies are made.
I kinda felt like her not knowing made the whole bombing of Pied Piper worthless. The point was so people remembered them and didn't try again, but she didn't know about them after so little time, so someone else could try again
This is how tech is in the valley, people do great things for a few years, then they go down and couple of years later the current generation hasn't even heard of them.
Honestly, I am so happy for Jared. It's what he was meant to do and I bet he is the happiest of all the former pipers :)
I love the part where big head says, "Hey Nelson!" to Jared🤣 and also feel sad that the show is over🥲

correct indeed
I felt like the ending was a disservice to the show. They could've given them something or a actual happy ending for PP but they followed they typically lazy writing on the show and made them "fail." Every season ends the same with the show. The next season has has their bounce back, but unfortunately there is no next season now, so no bounce back
@Essig Well said m8, anyways the point of life (for a lot of the core members - including Dinesh somewhat - ) is not financial success, they found solace in the bond they shared and feeling of what they accomplished espeically Richard. Richard was always so mad about a external force stopping their progress but this time there wasn't any. It was thier choice, they did what they wanted all this years ago. They are always team blue. Technology goes but your personal journey will always last. It's quite hard at least for me to comprehend what purpose is when your at the valley.
Jian-Yang hid behind the door, I will put $5 on it.
you owe me $5
Jin Yang is Elrich Bachman in Tibet
erlich
I bet he paid that lady like $500 to to pretend to have bought the house.
This ending is the only one that got me for some reason other than the office. You really connected with these guys, and being in infosec (sorta related right? I do Gilfoye-ish stuff) made it oh so more enjoyable to watch being really nerdy at times with the details and then at the same time so wrong 😂. Truly a work of comedic art with a tiny sprinkle of bro drama.
“We’re here to get you rats fast!”
The ending was epic and painfully good. They get douched on their entire tech career and then at the end have the perfect working tech but have to sabotage themselves. It fits the show too much, part of me thought they’d sell to the military!
"I saw you last weekend"
I love them
gilfoyle and dinesh will never admit that they need one another
Am not watching anymore hbo movies. is just heartbreaking
Incredible anticlimatic ending to the show. It subverts the whole structure of the past seasons: everything turning to shit, but in the last second they manage to work it out. This episode inverts this logic, since they end up failing (because they actually succeded, I know). Having they end up without the glamour and fortune of a big tech company was a pretty amazing move, awesome show.
That really was an awesome ending. Loved it. knew they would do a time jump
They can have Bill Gates 's cameo but cannot have Erlich :(
Because T.J.Miller is an asshole & very unprofessional person to work with, still I felt sad about him being egoistic that he can't make a single cameo :(
I know. that’s what got me 🤦🏽♂️
thanks for a great series .the piano music makes me feel lill emotional
Its guess we'll find out
Such perfect yet saddest ending to one of the best series. Really gonna miss this show.
I will miss them very much. Every single one.
Jian Yang and Bighead - best ticket for 2020.
I honestly wanted the final scene to be the White House press room, focused on the podium in front of the Great Seal. You hear a voice: "Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States Of America".
And there's silence. Rustling of reporters' pens, some quiet coughs. Several long, long seconds.
And then this pair of hands push Bighead in from the right, as he's saying "Oh. Wait. We're doing this now? 'Cause I don't know what I'm going to say-"
Roll credits.
I appreciated this part but I wish we would’ve had a happier ending . I loved the always blue part 😢 . This show low key got me into computer science
its a very logical way of ending things and i like how they ended it that way
@@roccojelsomeno7907 How many other companies can you name closed for ethical reasons? They had hypothetical moral issue and blew up the company. Other potential endings: IPO, acquisition etc... They ended up with a dramatic ending, which has nothing to do with the silicon valley.
All valid points. I thought it was good but could’ve been better. I guess I was expecting sunshines and rainbows .
@@Pizzonia295 Their team has never been ordinary and all their technology is pure science fiction from the very beginning, so it’s strange to blame the series for the lack of realism.

Silicon Valley will always be my favorite HBO show, I didn’t have a big crush on it at the beginning but it eventually catches my interest and attention and now I have to say I’m gonna remember this show for the rest of my life, the ending is just perfect, it’s like a life of human being, we came to this world with nothing and we will leave this world with nothing. All that matters is regardless of happy or sad, rich or pool we lived a colorful life and we appreciate everyone entered our life regardless of whether we like them or not.
I cried at this scene. I have not seen a better ending in a long time.
Loved the whole series. Wish it was longer.
Jian Yang's dead. That means Eric Bachmann is alive, right? (Edit: Just found out I misspelled. It's Erlich Bachman...)
Well, you are right and wrong at the same time
Yes, didn’t you see the ID? He lost weight though.
Well its the opposite probably. Richard told Jin Yang that Erlic is in Tibet. Jin Yang probably killed him and became rich and that is how he got Erlic's ID card. You will see it in episode enough of spoiling
Go see the episode.

My life is hollow again. Game of Thrones (no matter what people think of season 8), Veep, now Silicon Valley. HBO has giving us great content over the years.
I'm gonna miss this series.
A good ending for the decade. Hopefully, the next decade has as good as content as this one
Yeah, I know, people are now saying silicon valley also ended the way game of thrones did , so much for the respectful audience
The series ended great, and I wasn't expecting Richard to become the new Bill Gates or something like that. Every character had a closure, period. It didn't not ended like GOT, people are still offended because of that.
you can hop on the mandalorian train!
What i learned from this show was, richard should have taken a the 10 million or sold the shares and mined user data for a billion dollars.
Mystic dumbass Although that’s an interesting way to look at it, what I’ve learned from the show is that the thing that matters the most at the end of the day is if you truly went all in for making your dreams come true. I am not talking about the dreams that we see while we sleep, but the ones that often keep us awake at night. Although Pied Piper had to end, there is something truly magical that the Piper family achieved through all this - Moments with some of the best people they can be with, no matter how twisted those people and their lives might be. And these moments are way more valuable than a billion dollars. I mean, look at Gavin Belson on the other hand. Although rich and famous, he’s still not happy and calm in life. People like Richard and family are somehow the kind of people who do the right thing even when they must sacrifice the thing that they want the most - even their dreams. All that keeps them happy at the end is that they went for it and they truly tried to contribute their verses to the big and vast poem of life. It’s “Always Blue”!

the swift derpy gaze of Monica being asked about NSA almost killed me jesus
When everyone is sad about the ending I think it was pretty clever and realistic. This is what happens to a company when it's technology is way ahead of it's time. Pied piper could have survived if Richard found a way to dumb down Gilfoyle's AI.
I'm disturbed by how many people in the comment section are so obsessed with wealth that they perceive the shows ending as a failure to become rich and famous as opposed to a triumph of ethics and altruism in the face of the greatest temptation
@@ralphfraz They spent 6 years/seasons building something just to throw it away on launch day... I think that qualifies as failure
It is sad. For the entire series Gavin tried to make Richard's life miserable. At the end Richard will work for Gavin. I could have settled with Richard just being a mediocre programmer. But he went on to live his life working for his enemy teaching something he didn't believe in.
I also thought Jared had talents with running a start-up and seeing talents. He was one of those who saw the potential of Richard's algorithm. Also, he introduced scrum in to pied piper. Now he is taking care of old people. They should have continued with Gwart story line.
I guess they just lost so many of the main actors that the story lines they have planned in the beginning had to pivot.

I loved this show, but this excuse of an episode made me hate the fact that I’ve invested six years into watching it and rooting for the game to fail, fail, fail and then never needing to have succeeded into a good ending for the show. I was anticipating every new episode each week, each year. Watching it on my own, with a friend who is behind several episodes of season s6, and others that are still on season 2. And I wanted to rewatch the whole show from season 1 again. But now I don’t feel like doing any of that. Thank you dear producers.
