  • If you’ve always wanted to play a musical instrument, the Roland AE-01 Aerophone mini is the fastest way to realize your dream. This fun, modern digital wind instrument is super-easy to learn, so you’ll be playing along with your favorite songs in no time.
    The recorder is a popular wind instrument for introducing young children to playing music-maybe you even played one in school. Aerophone mini’s fingering is based on the recorder, allowing you to start making musical sounds in minutes. And with the companion app, you can instantly transpose the digital sound engine to any musical key. This means you only have to learn one fingering to play nearly any song!
    With Aerophone mini, it’s easy to enjoy playing music without bothering housemates and neighbors. Just plug in headphones to mute the built-in speaker, and then play freely to hone your skills without worrying about noise. Music streamed from the app plays through the headphones as well, giving you an immersive play-along experience.
    In this video, we take a closer look at how the Aerophone mini has been designed to start your music learning journey, a preview of some of the sounds, and the additional sounds and lessons available in the Aerophone mini Plus app.

      30 years ago I had a lot of fun with the Casio DH-1 digital horn. It was a blast to play, but the Roland AE-01 sounds incredible in comparison.

      @@Chris.Brisson Did you already buy one or are you referring to the sounds in this video?. I am considering buying because of the simple fingering but have some doubts because there is no bite sensor. Would like to use it ultimately for some (hobby) homerecordings. I play guitar and song a little and it would be great to be able to add some wind instrument sounds.

      @@45zapatero I'm referring to the demo videos I've seen. To me, the "fun factor" is often strongly associated with simplicity of use. I love products that don't compel me to read a 200-page user guide. If I must struggle for hours trying to configure a bite sensor to control the desired parameter, then I'd likely not bother with it.

    I think I’d class the sounds as ‘smooth’ - but not as alive as my much cheaper digital sax’s sounds. The problem is that if you make if far enough from a standard instrument, then it’s more likely to be classed as a toy… and treated as such. It’s possibly a great way to get people interested in playing and going further - but the price needs to be somewhat lower, it’s like seeing the aerophone version of being promoted beyond it’s capabilities. Having said that, if I was given one, I’d enjoy using it - but I’d have something more professional for when I get serious!

    I feel like they took everything from the AE-10 that was wrong, and amplified it with this one!
    Cheap sounds, very lousy controlling, even more unrealistic sounding....
    Instruments don't sound convincing, it sounds massively worse than the AE-10.
    To tell you the truth, I'm genuinely disappointed!
    I really expected more from them! Especially after like 3 years of development!
    And before someone tells me that the AE-10 also costs a lot more, I feel it's massively inferior to even the Akai EWI USB, where I can at least get one instrument sounding good for live play!
    Despite the EWI USB being sample based, needing a laptop, and the samples and instrument itself sounds ... barely passable... it's still vastly superior than these FM synthesized sticks that want to emulate real instruments.
    I feel they're only good for synthesized sounds. Not for emulating a flute, sax, or other wood or wind instruments.
    And that could be addressed through some good engineering work!

    • @ProDigit80
      @ProDigit80 Před 4 lety

      I believe the only instrument that's passable on the AE-10 is one of the trumpets...
