I think I’m a light spring - but I much prefer the bright spring colours.
I think pastels on pale skin looks washed out and does not accentuate the brightness of the spring Colouring.
I am a 69 year-old bright spring with natural dark hair. I always thought that as you age you shouldn't wear shimmer. Am I wrong?
Put on all the shimmer! It's lovely when older people wear flashy makeup

Ok on my 40-something in the creases above eyelids, shimmer brings out the wrinkles and texture which I don’t love, but otherwise I love shimmer eyeshadows ❤
Light Springs have a slight cool tone to them. Neutral foundations also work.
THANK YOU! I'm a light spring, and I look terrible in warm foundations and warm lipstick. I'm always told to wear peach and coral, and they look awful. Blue based pinks are my color.

For foundation, why should we avoid matte finishes? I'm not a fan of the shiny look because it looks oily and greasy on me (although I have dry to combination skin.

In my opinion it wouldn’t look good to go shimmer/dewy/reflective/high chroma on all makeup products. It could easily become too much (think discoball or grease party). Balance is a good thing. If you really dislike a full on dewy finish on your foundation, dial it down. Remember you can add shine and reflection in your eyeshadow, hair, jewelry and smile instead.
I use a powder foundation that looks very natural, like skin. I add ”dewyness” in a lipgloss, lipstick, eyeshadow or earrings (reflective warm metallic) instead. A subtle highlighter and tinted lipbalm can be enough. I also make sure to have hydrated skin (no dry patches). Do you. It’ll look great as long as it’s the right undertone and matches your skin colour. (And the overall impression of your face doesn’t read dry/matte as the Sahara dessert.)(Edit: I mean makeup and accessory wise. I also have dry skin type :)
To be honest, the super dewy thing is (was) a trend, no one looks sane with mega amounts of ”glow”, at least not in daylight and every day normal settings. It’s safe to opt out and shine in other ways. Hope it helps.
I feel like I could be most of the types and at the same time neither of them. I have something between medium and dark brown hair with ashy roots (I believe) and golden/almost coppery undertones through the lenght. I have all colors in my eyes but they are mostly green with little bit of brown in the middle but most people would say they are green on good a light. I think my skin has warm undertones and I tan easily. I can get away with silver and gold but in my opinion gold looks a little bit better. Please, anyone any idea which season could I be? 😢

Light spring is cooler than most color analysts tell you. They insist on peach and ivory, and coral lipstick. For me this is much too yellow. I wear neutral foundation and blue based pink lipstick.
I'm still struggling on finding my exact season, I have warm, dark brown almost black hair, bright green hazelish eyes, low contrast in features, very rosy cheeks and redness on my arms, and I believe neutral skin leaning warm neutral? An answer would be very appreciated🙏❤️
