    I love the scenes, when Schulz impersonates a higher Autority. My favourite scene was, when him and Hogan were in Paris and he played a german General. He was so fearsome, that even two GESTAPO Officers were scared :D

      "Impersonating a General. If I get caught they'll send me to the Russian front."
      "So what if they do. Wouldn't you rather go as a General than a Sergeant?"
      "That's true. I never thought of it." *Applies the Generals cover.*
      Also that scene at the cafe where all the soldiers are saluting him and he's obliged to salute back. Then finally he turns his chair around and Corporal Langenscheidt salutes him.

      Always remember Sgt Schultz is a Luftwaffe NCO ,and Stalag 13 is a Luft Stalag , Col Klink an ex pilot , flying badge and all. All Allied Air POWS were assigned to special camps run under Luftwaffe Administration..Note blue uniforms ,flying eagles ,v Grey Whermact ones of Bulkharter ,or black of Gestapo ( they only wore black on formal occasions) ...this accuracy gave the program intelligence.

    • @OlagGan
      @OlagGan Před 5 lety +30

      Actually slightly wrong. Wehrmacht is technically correct. All the branches except SS were part of the Wehrmacht including the Luftwaffe. You can see that on the registration plates used by the Germans during the war - WH, WL and WK - Wehrmacht Heer (Army), Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine (Navy)
