My dads been in door to door sales or "Traveling merchant" Biz I guess you can call it, for over 30 years now. There are some Companies that try to scam gullible Idiots out of their hard earned money and then there are actually useful things, that people still reject because they cant count to ten.
It all depends on the Product really. What I know from experience myself is that most of the Companies that have Door-to-door People employed have Bosses sittin, that never went out to do the Job once.
Sometimes that's true but it's a very high risk business I mean these guys are not investing in real estate or some type of franchise they're investing in a door-to-door sales business where over 90% of the employees fail so it does take some balls on their part even if they never knocked on a door

Anything you do that generates revenue, income, and/or some benefit to you can be considered a job. You can't qualify what is a job or not solely based on the quantity of pay because there are things like internships. At the end of the day if the grind you put in builds your future that's a job.
What future, it’s the same job over and over. He’s just gonna stagnate. No one’s gonna want what he’s selling 30 years down the line.

My mom signed up for a company once with a door salesman and she was screwed over because she wasn't explained right.

lol, "no ones happy doing door to door" man so much cope in the door to door industry. I know plenty of people who are happy in factories and warehouses to the same standard as door to door claim they are. truth is 90 percent of door to door contacts are not happy to see you , the other 10 percent are receptive and 1/10 of receptive potential clients actually sign. retention is another issue. imagine if every company decided to do door to door. wed be harassed in our homes 24/7. as a door to door sales person i don't agree with it even being legal. I hate us haha but we gotta make money. Its lousy, dishonest, cheap and an impatient brute force business marketing practice. If your business uses this I think lesser vs a competitor that uses more respectful marketing practices.

I’m literally a d2d sales rep for spectrum and we get paid 100k + while having 90% medical , dental, vision, tuition reimbursement (10k a year) , 401k , and a fuck ton of others. Do your research before you assume shit. Straight ignorance lol
Technically you still paying for it. A job just takes it out of your paycheck so I can just pay for it myself
A real job is metal working, construction, iron working, aerospace welding. All which can pay 300k if your good

Lmaoo wut? Ive worked door to door for years and uh... yep its a real job lol. Worked for both an external home remodeling company and for verizon. Full benefits, base pay, training pay. Made over 6k in my first month.
Most definitely a Real job, the ones who say it ain’t are the ones that quit after 2 weeks 🫡
