    Great tutorial! Can we talk about side tables and reading lamps for each position? Those are tedious to plan for and, to me, critical for comfort. The glossy mags do not include these tables and lamps.

      What did you do for the lack of 'arm' on the inside part of the sofas? I tried that, taking the corner part out, and I'm left with two sofas that don't have an interior arm.

    This is so informative with information we can use. I love how you address things we have to consider in 'real' life like tv placements and furniture that makes our husbands happy - sometimes not our fav, but we do want them to love their home too! I like the 2 sofa layout the best but I'm a huge fan of sectionals so also could live with that layout. I have a sectional in our living room but with a rectangle coffee table with plans to find a round table as suggested in past videos. Was thinking a tufted leather but your comment about a marble table that your client mentioned has given me ideas. Thanks for being accessible but also teaching us about style and how to consider design in our plans. Love it!

    I am always in favor of using existing furniture, if it is nice, so I would choose one of the layouts with the two sofas (probably the first one). Since your client was wanting a sectional, I felt how you designed/solved the layout was my favorite. I have a sectional that’s been up against the wall since it was delivered. • @jojojo724
    @jojojo724 Před 2 lety

    I like the very last because I think the larger seating options should face the TV its just the most practical and she gets to keep her couch. But personally I love sectionals for watching tv so that's my favorite.

  • @mamatosh05
    @mamatosh05 Před 2 lety

    Hello. I probably would've went with the tv on the wall were the vent was. Even though you say it too far across the room; just get a nice size tv. My livingroom is a pretty nice size & I switched back & forth having it on the main large wall or up against the window wall which cutoff my area space. So I finally had the tv mounted on the wall across from the window wall (same wall my fireplace sits), but in a nook like space/area. It opened my livingroom up so much.

    Never been a sectional fan, even in the mid '90s/early 2000s. The variety of layouts w 2 sofas is a win, more unique. Even your Uncle Joey has a sectional. Think 2 sofas are a subtle, upscale look n reusing a beautiful leather sofa is fabulous (love idea of white slipcover for 2nd sofa, I despise matchy matchy). More of these meaty videos please!

    Question: how do you feel about putting furniture in front of low windows? I have a large open room with big tall windows but they are only about 27” off the ground so it feels weird to block them but there aren’t many other options for furniture placement except to float it in the middle of the room. I understand if this is more than you want to answer here. Thx for being so generous with your expertise. I’ve learned a lot from you.

    I liked the first double couch. As someone who has a large L shaped sectional....its comfortable but so so not appealing to me. I can't move anything around and switch it up. Its huge and cumbersome. The only ideal for it is that my kids bounce all over it and tear it apart and its still holding up nicely. But I so want to change it to a 90" couch and a 65" couch, include my husbands beloved recliner and find a fun marketplace chair to place next to it.
