Fantastic passing your test! I'm not sure about Canada's air brake test - here in the USA it was part of the school I went to. Yes, lots to know but it's designed to make you a safe Driver! I'm planning to get my passenger endorsement since I'm not OTR now. That way, I can drive buses to help out. Three thumbs up for Trucker Brit!!!
Good for you, make Josh bring a trl home and show you each component for air brakes and how to adjust brakes, hands on is the best way to learn, that's better than a picture in a book. Good luck.

WTG. Big wave from NB Canada here .It doesn't matter the number of times you/anyone takes as long as you past that's important . I had some farm tractor ,trailer backing experience and gravel truck 10 wheeler (my dad)and was able to get my class 1 @18 in late 80's . My first time driving 18 wheeler was during my road test and passed. I still have it but driving little due to wages .I can make good money as electrician 40 hrs/ week typical...home for supper and paid breaks and well paid OT..

Great job passing test :) on Fertility, my daughter tried for years to get Pregnant and was told she never would. Then, 7 years ago, she delivered her miracle baby. She got pregnant the normal way, and was happily shocked when she found out

I remember how excited I was 40 years ago when I passed my test, and I remember how equally excited I was 3 years ago when I retired. Air brakes isn't so bad, it's a matter of remembering some psi numbers. Congratulations and here's a small tip, never let your guard down to what the other guy is doing next to you. What contributes to longevity in this field is having a great sense of defense. Good luck

I think it’s a good thing that the tests are difficult. People SHOULD have to work hard to pass, it’s a big responsibility to drive such a large vehicle.

I don't test well , never have . When I go for blood draws I always ask for the Butter fly the needle is real thin vs the thicker needle on the vacutainer that's used normally in labs . Congrats Brit passing the test for your truckers learners permit . 69.8F is cool for us Floridians . Brrrrr.

Brit next time after your blood is drawn &the bandage put on the site raise your arm up over your head and put your index & your middle finger over the site & your thumb around your elbow and apply pressure to the blood draw site it might help so you don't get a bruise . That is what I do & it works for me .

It's fine, in Florida they split up the tests and once you pass one test you dont have to retake the same one twice... I failed the same test 3 times before I passed... you got this! Go Brit!!!

Ha $128.9 for regular fuel over there in Canada. Over here in Australia we pay 149.9 for unleaded over here

I'm not the best test taker and usually have to read stuff a few times to be able to retain it, but i passed the pre trip walk around/air brake test and the 50 question written test here in North carolina the first time i took them. Recently I took the hazardous materials endorsement written test and the examiner said I hope you been studying, which I had and told him that, he said well next to the motorcycle learners permit test the hazmat is probably the next hardest test we have at the DMV. I took it and passed the first time also.

Wow. In the USA it's 50 questions on the General Knowledge CDL A test and then if you pass it then you can do the air brakes and combination vehicles test.

Congratulations!! Just relax and do your best. That worked for me. In the worst case you have to do it again. I wish we had the same gas prises as hou have, here in the Netherlands I've seen €1,80 per litre at some places..

Good job Brit! You've got the right attitude. Study, Study, Study. It's not easy to do with such a busy life. But there is a ton of information to absorb.
Brit air brakes in my mine isn’t really hard but really study the walk around which is your post and pretrip. You can do it just breath.
Air brakes test isnt bad, I dont know how it works in Manitoba but in Ontario theres 7 things you gotta say for straight strucks, theres two more for tractor trailer. cut in and cut out, low air warning device, spring brake test, pushrod stroke, air loss rate test, air build up time
Always remember the IF it doesn't, the vehicle is defective.
Pre trip and post trip just dont stop talking, and over exaggerate everything when you do it.

OH HELL, I went thru that...nearly passed out afterwards. I didn't have to take anti-bioticis when my Dr did mine. When he finally couldn't find anything wrong...he decided to do a "Laparoscopy".....go in and take a look around....found a large Fibroid Tumor on the back of my uterus...removed that mid January....was 7 weeks BY APRIL! We went 2 YEARS trying!, until he did that....said THAT was WHY I couldn't get pregnant!

A got my class 1 learners last year (also in steinbach) I had to try like 2 or 3 times too before I passed. And the airbrake one was difficult, but I studied hard, and for me it was more helpful to memorize the questions and answers in the back of each section in the mpi airbrake manual than do the practice quizzes online. The practice quizzes were worded quite differently than the actual test at mpi so that was confusing, that’s why the manual questions helped me more

One thing about air breaks is that you are going to want miniun os 90psi better with 120 psi for margin of safety. And truckers amd the air break minium psi and 120 for added margin safety
