Making Nicole's Gluefolio

- I was inspired to do this fabulous project by Nicole.Relax.Cut.Glue and Nicole in turn had been inspired by MaymayMadeIt. Such an adaptable little folio.
Correction, it should be MayMayMadeIt @MaymayMadeIt.....not MayMayMakes
Please excuse the numbers confusion I was having a bad day with numbers, it was Five pages in the signature, eight pieces in the waterfall.
Any questions you can always ask me in the comments.

Maymay is absolutely amazing! I have learned a lot from her.
She is
I like the real-time videos because I can work alongside you, without endlessly pausing my video or rewinding.
Wonderful
Maymay inspires Nicole inspires Ceri inspires Susannah - yay! ✌🏻🎨☕️
Fabulous.
Ceri i have followed Maymay Made It for several years now. She is a lover of all things paper. I had the extreme pleasure of meeting her down in Clayton Al last year. She has made many different folios and i love them. I saw immediately how these folios could be turned into interesting art books, tag books, and junk journals. I am going to share your video with her as i know that she would love to see it. I hope that you will take the time to look at some of her other folios and albums.
Thank you I am already familiar with her work she is very clever
I have watched May May do this folio. Very good. She is an excellent teacher. And extremely talented lady. You have done a great justice following this process. Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome Cynthia
This is a great project and your tutorial was awesome. I love hearing your thought process. I can see how this would be great as a travel folio made in advance. Thank you for sharing.💜🐞
You are so welcome

You are so welcome
This is darling and has so many possibilities. Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome!
Love 'MayMay made it" channel, love all her folios and crafts. She has a store and so much more! She's absolutely a fantastic person as well...
She is.
Enjoyed this make. So nice to see some thing new. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love this video so much that I want to keep it forever. 😊
Very nice Ceri. You are an amazing teacher. 💕
Thank you so much!
Very neat project, Ceri! As you mentioned, it can be used in many different ways. I'll check out Nicole and MayMay too. Thank you for sharing. ❤
You’ll love Nicole such a fun personality.
Ceri very interesting video, I now know how to make a folio, keep up the intersting projects, I enjoy them.
Thank you
"Biscuit and the Postman", sounds like a small UK village mystery detective show. :)
Could be….Lol
Ceri I come to you from Nicole’s channel and I absolutely love this folio. I have made two of them but I still haven’t put in the signatures. I also started watching May May’s channel and she just made a one inch spine folio similar to this. Thank you for the instruction on how to sew in a signature. Nicole is a patient teacher and I find you are as well. It helps to see things visually and I loved how you explained how to sew it in. I love the charm idea.
Thank you so much
Brilliant!!❤ thank you for sharing 💕🥰💕
You are so welcome!
I am so enjoying watching your videos. You do an amazing job.. Thanks for another great video..
You are so welcome Kristen
Very enjoyable, I look forward to trying this. Thanks!
Have fun!
Love folios. Have a horrible time making them though...practice practice practice. 😊 TFS Hope you have a great day. 🌞
Thank you! You too!
This is a keeper! Thanks so much for this.
Glad you like it!
This is so great I think I will use the idea for a journal and instead of the waterfall I’ll put a folio in that spot. Sort of like a folio in a folio.
Sounds great.
This journal is fabulous!! Easy to make and even easier to travel with. ❤ Thank you for sharing Ceri.
You are so welcome!
You bring me such joy during my summer vacation. As a new paper crafter, you make it easy to follow along. I love waking up to a new video and crafting with you.
Thank you,
You are so welcome Felicia
Thank you, was fun to see another "take" on this folio. I first watched MayMay, then saw Nicole make it and now your version. Thanks again.
It was a great make from MayMay and I loved Nicole’s version, I did check with Nicole and she was okay with me making a video of it, we’re all about sharing good ideas and giving credit where its due.
This looks like a fun little project, I’m sure I’ll enjoy making it, thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you
Very clever idea. May just have to try making one. 😊
Go for it!
Loved it many thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Love this
MaymayMadeIt
Love this, thank you!😊
You are so welcome!
I love Maymay too!
She's from Alabama and I'm from Georgia so we both speak "southern" 🤣
Another great video\idea!
All thanks to Nicole.
Love it
Thank you Ann.
Ceri, i had to pop in another suggestion for the closure of the folio. Maymay uses self adhesive magnets for her enclosures as do i. Now please please please make a folio using a variety of gel prints to decorate the outside and inside of the folio :)
Good ideas I'll bear them in mind
Fantastic❣️
Thank you
Flippin’ love this! Doable for a newbie and so useful. Thanks 🙏
So glad!
Loved this project. I've made something similar before but had no idea what to call it. A gluefolio is a perfect title for this. I see so much potential for this project in my life! You, Nicole & the lovely maymay have truly inspired me today! Thank you so much!
Wonderful
Thanks Ceri, love that.
Being a teacher I've tried most brands of glue sticks. After some time they all dry out - unfortunately. So now If I use glue stick to 'hold' something, I also generally use PVA wet glue.
Thanks again.
Thank you
Thank you for sharing this idea. I'll give it a try... Doing journals like this, I start fixing the signature from the outside in with a really long thread. I end up with the knot on the outside and a lot of thread to wrap around the journal. (Signature fixed / closure installed at the same time 🙂)
Interesting idea.
Adorable little project! I will definitely be making one of these! TFS
Have fun
Maymay was one of my first discoveries when I found this wonderful new hobby of paper crafting! I can't wait to try making one of these-maybe be able to make them for Christmas gifts! Thanks, Ceri!
Good idea
I could make folios as a full time job. Love everything about them. ❤ I love your colorful paper on the black background.
I see more in my future as well
Lovely, enjoyed your tutorial, I saw Nicole's video yesterday and made 2 of these, think these are so quick and easy to make. I'll check out the May May May video as well x 😊
Mayday has many videos on folios so check them out as well
@@CeriGriffiths Thank you x
Fellow MayMay Made It follower and I think this is a great way to use the folios!
Thank you
This was fun!!
Thank you
fun and cute!! :D
Thank you
Love this project! I also started out watching Maymay. A tip for your stubborn tree stump. Hammer in a couple or more copper nails. It will kill it completely and make it easier to dig up! x
Oh thank you
I absolutely love this. It’s given me an idea for a Christmas present, however, I’m pretty much a crafting disaster.
Lol….you can do this.
Ceri, I watched the part of the video where you put this booklet together. Your instructions were so helpful, I paused the video and started making one of my own. I've completed the structural pieces of the booklet and I've printed out five pages to use in the signature. I don't think I care to do a waterfall section so I'll explore CZcams to see what else would be nice. Ceri, you are a natural born teacher! Thanks for this video. I look forward to completing my own booklet!!
I'm thinking about putting a notepad in place of the waterfall. That's the very back of the folio, so it should be easy to write there, with no bumps from paperclips or ephemera to get in the way. I'll run it through the sewing machine to attach the pages before gluing the decorative paper on the back, and that way the line of stitches won't show on the back side of the folio.
Thank you, I'm to sure but you may be able to put another signature where the waterfall was placed maybe it will need to be a little narrower though.
@@beckyg2604 Great idea
Very fun one ❤... I'm already having a go as part of my journal technique journey xx Show you later... 🙌🥰😎
Have fun!
❤ I pretty much watch Nicole regularly now. ❤
Me too
Thanks!
Thank you so much Sue
Hi, I came from Nicole's channel to watch how you interpreted this folio. You are so precise (like me). Sloppy folds, uneven edges and bits of "dries clear" glue leaks leaving shiny places simply will not do for us. 😉 (✿◡‿◡) Happy to find your channel today.
Welcome Ann
💜💜💜
Thank you Amy
❤❤❤
Thank you
❤
Thank you Karen.
I miss paper craft, this might be a good way to get back into it
It’s fun.
Love it, I think your bottom waterfall page was off because you had to trim the cover in the beginning. 😊
I think you're correct
The CZcams is may may made it. She has an entire playlist of these folios in various sizes and they are used by her and a lot of the makers as photo albums
Thank you
I use the Dollar Tree brand and have not had any problems. I also am heavy-handed.
Great news
I have made two of them after Nicole showed us how to do them. I put two signatures in one (crazy, I know, but I had to as I ran out of room for the photos I was adding). I am glad you had bits that weren't lined up when you did it as it made me feel better about mine. Nicole does everything so perfectly (she is awesome and I love her to bits). I was happy to see that tiny bit you had to cut off. haha. Silly, I know. They are a lot of fun and after I saw Nicole's I went and started binge watching all the folio videos that MayMay Makes has done. Very cool. Love your folio! Love the papers you chose (I did mine with white cardstock, then covered them with coloured papers).
Thank you I like to keep things real on my channel and if I mess up I don't edit out as I think its a good learning experience for those who make similar mistakes. Nicole always impresses me with her natural accuracy
@@CeriGriffiths Nicole is amazing! You are also great with making things look great too. I line things up and try really hard and they are almost always crooked. I am learning that it is my trademark now haha.
Ceri can you please explain what the water fall is for? I’m a newbie? Lol 😊
A waterfall is just another arrangement for pages, you can use them for anything, from attaching photographs to writing surfaces, you could even glue images to them or do small pieces of art.
@@CeriGriffiths thank you!
aahhh... binder clips
Yes
@@CeriGriffiths You inspired me to collage. I didn't have any people in my sticker/ephemera collection, so I bought some. I mention you in my channel Temu haul.
I would love to make one of these but i only have A4 cardstock as from the UK is there any chance to have measurements for A4, sorry to be a pain
I’m also based in the UK, there are some options, you could purchase an inexpensive 12x12 pad because when you decorate you’ll see very little of the background, if you have a shop called The Works near you they’re pads are approx £4. If you eat cereal some of those larger boxes of cereal are made up of large panels of thin card.
What is the waterfall used for?
It is used for anything you wish its just another way of adding areas to write on, glue on, paint on etc
Why is it called a glue folio??? From Aus lol
Nicole who created the first one wanted to find a name to combine the idea of a glue book and a portfolio so she created the name Gluefolio.
